    County Constables - 1000 Positions

    Job Description

    • Enforcement of county by-laws
    • Guarding county installations and properties.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the authority.

    Job Requirements

    • Must be a Kenyan citizen.
    • Must be a holder of KCSE Certificate with at least a mean grade of “D” plain.
    • Must be aged between 18-30 years.
    • Must be physically fit with height of: Male – 5,8”, Female – 5,0”
    • Be a holder of current certificate of good conduct from Director of Criminal Investigation.
    • Ladies should not be expectant during the interview and while undergoing training.

    Principal Office Administrator

    Job Requirements
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Served in the grade of Chief Office Administrator for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies or Bachelor of Business and Office Management from a recognized institution;

    OR

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution;
    • Certificate in Secretarial Management Course from Kenya School of Government or any other Government Training Institute;
    • Certificate in Computer Application from a recognized institution; and
    • Demonstrated professional competence in management of office Administrative services.

    Job Description
    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

    •  Taking oral dictation;
    • Using e-office to research and process data;
    • Operating office equipment;
    • Attending to visitors/clients;
    • Handling telephone calls;
    • Handling customer inquiries and complaints;
    • Coordinating schedules of meetings and appointments;
    • Coordinating travel arrangements;
    • Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents, including classified materials;
    • Ensuring security, integrity and confidentiality of data;
    • Establishing and monitoring procedures for record keeping of correspondence and file movement;
    • Maintaining an up to date filling system in the office;
    • Preparing responses to routing correspondence;
    • Managing office protocol and etiquette; and
    • Any other office administrative services duties that may be assigned.

    Senior Assistant Office Administrator

    Job Requirements
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Served in the grade of Assistant Office Administrator I or Senior Office Administrative Assistant for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies or Bachelor of Business and Office Management from a recognized institution;

    OR

    • Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) stage I, II, and III from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects; -
      • Shorthand III (110 w. p. m);
      • Typewriting III (50 w.p.m.)/Computerized Document Processing III;
      • Business English III/Communications II;
      • Office Practice II;
      • Commerce II;
      • Office Management III/Office Administration and Management III;
      • Secretarial Duties;
    • Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council or any other government training institution or Diploma in Public Relations and Customer Care from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Job Description

    • Undertaking any other office administrative services duties that may be assigned.
