    Project Clinician Scientist

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Development of standardized maternal and neonatal indicators, medical records and databases embedded in routine health information systems
    •  Working with the data team in the provision of clinical input for data quality assurance, monitoring reports and dashboards
    • Tracking updates in clinical practice guidelines and how these relate to quality of care
    • Support multisite maternal and neonatal quality improvement including fostering of peer to peer networks, data use, QI reviews and cross-site learning sessions
    • Participate in analysis of data and developing written outputs
    • Participate in related training activities and study workshops or meetings
    • Performing any other related duty as assigned.

    Job Specifications:
    At a minimum, the PCS will have:

    • Registered specialist medical practitioners and should possess MMed (Obstetrics Gynaecology) or its equivalent from a recognized institution
    • Master’s degree in Public Health or Epidemiology
    • They should have at least 2 publications in referred journals
    • Clear interest in health systems and health services research
    • Prior work on team-based projects and demonstrable organizational skills

    Project Data Analyst

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the design and execution of all primary quantitative analyses, impact evaluation, and effective coverage estimation.
    • Develop, maintain, and govern harmonised, reproducible analytic codebases (R, Stata, Python), ensuring compatibility with federated data execution and secure incountry runs.
    • Implement advanced data quality assurance and reproducibility processes
    • Produce high-quality statistical outputs to support reporting, peer-reviewed publications, and external review
    • Participate in related training activities and study workshops or meetings

    Job Specifications:

    At a minimum, the DAS will have:

    • Masters degree in either of the following disciplines Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • At least three (3) years of research experience
    • Advanced R/Stata/Python
    • Demonstrated expertise in multilevel models and routine health data.
    • Evidence of ability to produce and publish research.

    Assistant Research Officer Social Sciences

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct empiric work including primary data collection (key informant interviews, focus group discussions) with health system policy makers, managers and front line providers
    • Work together with other colleagues to finalize methodological tools and construct the analysis
    • Assist with management and analysis of data and developing written outputs
    • Participate in related training activities and study workshops or meetings
    • Performing any other related duty as assigned.

    Job Specifications:
    At a minimum, the ARO-SS will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subjects in Social Sciences & Humanities such as Anthropology or Sociology from a recognized institution
    • At least two (2) years of research experience, ideally including experience in collecting and analyzing health systems qualitative research data through interviews, focus group discussions, health systems research, stakeholder engagement
    • Evidence of ability to produce and publish research.
    • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
    • Knowledge of NVivo (qualitative analysis) software will be an added advantage.

    Project Administrative Assistant

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support project grant management
    • Coordinate project operations at the University of Nairobi
    •  Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and electronic while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
    • Manage and monitor an electronic register of postgraduate research projects, schedules and training
    • Performing any other related duty as assigned.

    Job Specifications:
    At a minimum, the Project Administrative Assistant will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Social Sciences/Humanities, Business Management, Project management, Office Management, or any other related field plus at least two (2) years’ experience providing program implementation in Human Resource OR a Diploma in Management, Accounting, Project Management, Office Management or any other related field plus 5 years’ experience in a large program implementation environment will be considered.
    • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, Excel.
