    Associate Human Resources Business Partner

    Job Purpose

    • As an Associate HR Business Partner, the role holder is expected to support the business function(s) by being a trusted business partner to the stakeholders and staff in the commercial functions.
    • The aim over time is to grow and enable you to play a critical role in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to retain and grow our staff. You will act as a primary point of contact for the functions, serving as a connector to internal HR functions and an advisor on all people processes, procedures, and initiatives.

    Key Functions

    • Support your managers in cultivating a high-performance, innovation-driven culture, and ensure that performance management experiences are effective and empowering, prioritizing fairness and objectivity.
    • Work proactively to identify underperformance and thoughtfully address it professionally and swiftly.
    • Support your managers and staff through the Learning and Development function to create compelling learning opportunities to address mentorship, coaching for performance and growth, and advising on career opportunities.
    • Assist in developing and implementing, in close conjunction with your managers, staff retention, career, and succession strategies.
    • Support Employee Engagement measurement programs and action planning, and champion the cause of employee engagement as a measure of leadership.
    • Work closely with your managers to understand organizational challenges and design or implement creative solutions.
    • Works in partnership with managers to provide guidance and advice in dealing with difficult people issues in a fair, straightforward manner and without delay.
    • Build and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders within your group and the larger organization.
    • Assist in supporting coaching and developing leaders and managers on how to inspire and influence their teams, as well as improve their communication practices.
    • Work closely and effectively with other HRBP’s, HR Shared Services, and Centres of Excellence teams to identify best practices and use them to define effective business interventions.
    • Share knowledge and insights with the wider people team to help shape best practices from a people perspective.

    Experience/ Skills & Competencies/ Licenses & Certifications/ Education Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
    • Professional certification in HR and IHRM membership are preferred.

    • Must be an analytical thinker capable of driving decisions through insightful analysis.

    Warehouse Operations Lead

    Job Purpose

    • You will be responsible for leading a team of inventory and warehouse officers to manage and oversee inventory control and stock management within M-KOPA Warehouse. Your responsibilities are to ensure the efficient tracking, maintenance, and organization of inventory, as well as leading a team to achieve nil stock variances.
    • You will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager. This is an on-site role in Nairobi, Central Business Park.

    Key Job Functions
    Inventory Tracking and Record-Keeping

    • Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels, both incoming and outgoing. This involves monitoring stock levels and making sure that the data on systems and trackers is up-to-date.
    • Conduct cycle counts, including researching and documenting inventory discrepancies, to identify root causes and propose solutions.
    • Coordinate the fulfillment of daily orders by ensuring proper stock supply planning from the Ready-For-Sale (RFS) and sourcing team and proper order planning for RFS's units
    • Leveraging inventory management systems in place to streamline processes and maintain accurate stock records at all times.
    • Own the creation of part numbers and descriptions on the inventory management systems.

    Optimize warehouse and storage

    • Optimize inventory systems as well as warehouse layout to determine how quickly and easily accessible stock is for efficient picking methods.
    • Determine aged stock seating in the warehouse.
    • Implementing inventory control processes to minimize losses due to theft, damage, or obsolescence.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance inventory management efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to inventory management.

    Reporting and documentation

    • Manage the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
    • Generate reports on inventory performance, such as transactions, stock levels, and other relevant metrics, to inform decision-making.
    • Perform daily audits and publish daily reports to ensure the accuracy of system quantities in all warehouse locations.
    • Conducting weekly audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Provide training and support to inventory officers to ensure they are knowledgeable about inventory processes and best practices.
    • Oversee the job assignments and activities of the inventory control staff.
    • Collaborate with the warehouse operations manager to provide performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

    Experience/ Skills & Competencies/ Licences & Certifications/ Education Required

    • 3 + years experience in managing logistical and warehouse operations
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • People leadership and management experience in any similar capacity
    • Deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
    • Good understanding of Kaizen to implement the 6s standards
    • Understanding raw material inventory and the movement of finished goods
    • Track record of hitting tight deadlines without compromising on quality of execution
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and drive action
    • Integrity and openness, combined with a commitment to good governance

    Head of Product_ E-Mobility

    You will be based in Nairobi or be able to travel there frequently and will report to Managing Director of M-KOPA Mobility.

     In this role, you’ll be expected to :

    • Know all things electric mobility - from battery supply chains to battery management system AI algorithms to future price curves to electric charger types to manufacturing assembly tax benefits
    • Be a key leader in defining the product strategic direction of M-KOPA's electric mobility business
    • Design, run, and iterate M-KOPA's electric vehicle and electric charging / swapping tests and feed that input back into product evolution
    • Manage M-KOPA's electric vehicle, charging infrastructure, and supply chain partners

    You Might Be A Good Fit If:

    • Minimum of [5] years of professional experience working as a Head of Product or Sr. Product manager
    • Priority will be given to those with deep technical experience with products involving electric vehicles and/or lithium ion batteries and/or EV battery management systems and/or finance lease software systems.
    • Priority will be given to those with market experience in the markets M-KOPA operates in
    • You are passionate about products and product management and leading product teams
    • You are passionate about electric mobility and lithium-ion batteries and engaging with motorbike drivers, riders and EV companies
    • You understand and appreciate the power of credit financing for underbanked populations
    • You have experience building electric mobility products and services
    • You thrive equally as well in the field engaging with and running customer tests as you do in the Board room reporting on key metrics and building long-term strategy
    • You thrive in a fast paced, highly dynamic, work environment
    • Be excited about the future of electric mobility and all the social and customer benefits it brings
