Job Purpose Statement

• Enterprise Data Management ("EDM”) is a process that seeks to ensure Data in NCBA Group PLCis accurate and consistent to meet the strategic and business goals. "EDM" has eight keycapabilities
  • Data Architecture (DA);
  • Data retention & archiving (DRA);
  • Data quality management (DQM);
  • Metadata management ("MM");
  • Master data Management (MDM);
  • Data privacy & security (DPS) vii) Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) and
  • Data governance.
• This role will drive management of the Master Data strategy that brings together the fundamental business data building blocks that are shared across multiple business transactions, e.g. T-24 captures and generates data becomes a I MDM asset', that is used in other systems such as customer management system (CRM), SAP -Bl regulatory reporting. This role owns and delivers on the Master Data & Data Quality Management strategy and reports into the Chief Data Officer, CDO.
• The Data Quality Lead is a senior management role tasked with providing leadership and overseeing the following administrative and operational functions within the data management office and group:
  • Master Data Management: this function is responsible for Master data management (MDM), a process and technology-enabled discipline in which business and IT work together to ensure the uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency and accountability of the enterprise's official shared master data assets.
  • Data Quality Management: is the capability to appropriately design data quality requirements across the business data domains, diagnose data quality issues, correct them and monitor the solution effectiveness.
• At its core, the role involves supporting the CDO and other team leaders in implementing the Enterprise Data Management Framework in regards to Master Data & Data Quality Strategies, drive strategic performance in order to achieve strategic results that is, Data is seen as a Strategic Asset at NCBA Group PLC and creates sustainable stakeholder value.

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Finance & Banking MIS, or Information Management, operations management
• Masters or diploma in data management/data science, will be an added advantage

Professional:

• Hands on experience in Database Development and scripting, with expert level skills in writing SQL queries.
• Hands on experience in developing ETL packages using Oracle DI, SQL Server Integration Services, SAP Data Services
• Deep understanding of industry standard formats and protocols (XML/XPath/XQuery and JSON)
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and reporting skills
• A good knowledge of the information requirements and standard reporting within Financial Services industry

Desired work experience:

• Minimum 8 years' experience in IT systems development within a large, digitized organization designing, implementing and managing mission critical systems, with at least 5 of those years within BI development and/or support.

Job Purpose Statement

The Senior Manager, Core Banking Development role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations that facilitate the stable operation of the bank’s Core Banking and related system Operations. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Core Banking initiatives. In collaboration with external vendors, system experts and information security experts the Senior Manager, Core Banking Systems Support will schedule and direct activities to implement business changes in the core banking software and service problems in a timely and accurate fashion

Ideal Job Specifications

• University degree in computer science.
• Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
• ITIL Intermediate and other relevant professional qualifications in ICT field.
• Project Management Certification: PMI or Prince 2
• Five to Six years’ experience in Application development in medium to large organizations.
• Six years’ experience in T24 Core Banking Software Design and Development
• Three years in a supervisory role.
• Working experience in a bank or other financial services organization.
• Experience in Management of Support Contracts, RFP’s and Third party support providers.

Job Purpose Statement

This role will provide technology security assurance, to ensure that existing and new systems, services and products meet the security compliance threshold. The jobholder will work closely with IT teams to ensure that existing systems meet Bank’s security requirements as well as best practices.

Ideal Job Specifications

•  Bachelor’s Degree in, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security or related field required
•  Minimum 2-5 years working experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in a busy IT security environment.
•  Knowledge of secure configuration and change management practices.
•  Working knowledge of databases, operating systems and web applications technologies.
•  Certification in systems audit or security related area, such as CEH, CISA, CISM or CISSP
•  Experience in working with various vulnerability assessment & penetration testing tools.
•  Working knowledge of IT systems security hardening practices
•  Prior experience working within a financial service organization will be an added advantage
