    Director of Operations (Agritech)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for overseeing and efficiently executing, together with the Site and Production Managers, all site operations including site management and preparation, onboarding of partners, production and planting scheduling, warehouse management, etc.
    • Leads the commercial supervisors to ensure that the commercial team is hitting targets in sales, customer acquisition, proper branch allocation and efficient dispatch and delivery.
    • Works with all operational departments, including CEO, to set goals and plans, and track against both.
    • Problem solves, thinks and works independently and ultimately drives improved performance in all of the major operational KPIs.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a Relevant bachelor’s degree, master is highly preferable.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in highly operational roles, with preference for scale-up situations.
    • Lives and breathes SOPs, KPI tracking, operational flows and charts, and planning documents, and enjoys keeping people on task.
    • Ability to create standardized processes and reporting tools to monitor progress.
    • Strong value orientation around operational excellence. You know that mediocrity will not lead to success, so you hold yourself and others to that standard.
    • Have a passion for and proven track record of continuous improvements in a dynamic role.

    General Manager – Fintech

    Qualifications

    • In-depth understanding of banking regulations in Kenya.
    • Business development/sales experience.
    • Detailed understanding of market needs, products, and pricing.
    • Digital experience, both in web, mobile as well as in digital marketing
    • In-depth knowledge of payment systems
    • A respected leader with the ability to win and foster critical stakeholder relationships.
    • Experience reporting to and managing a Board.
    • Proven record of managing a P&L.
    • Comfortable working in a matrix structure.
    • Collegiate working style while collaborating with a team located across the world in various time zones

    Finance & Administration Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee finance and accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, financial policies and procedures and all other applicable laws, rules and guidelines.
    • Consolidate cost and revenue data to extract management information for financial decision making.
    • Examine, evaluate, and implement cost-reduction strategies for efficient funds management.
    • Formulate and implement sound policies, procedures, and internal control systems to ensure adequate liquidity and ultimately an operating surplus.
    • Lead the annual budgetary process in liaison with HOD’s and manage the Budget information system.
    • Formulate, implement, and review Human Resources and administrative strategies and policies.
    • Manage, motivate, and develop a high performing human resource team.
    • Manage internal suppliers which include rent, utilities, office consumables, professional services (accounting, audit legal, insurance etc).
    • Oversee effective functioning of the ICT system.
    • Oversee proper maintenance of company assets.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field;
    • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
    • Must be a certified public accountant and a member of ICPAK.
    • Must demonstrate excellent analytical, diplomacy and communication skills.
    • Must demonstrate excellent financial management skills.
    • Must demonstrate planning and coordination skills.
    • Must demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain good working relationships with all the stakeholders.
    • Must demonstrate ability to work independently.
    • Must demonstrate good supervision skills and be a good team player.
    • Must be flexible in work habits and schedules.
    • Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice.
    • Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness.
