    Finance Manager

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the development of a sound Financial Framework for the Organization, implementation of the Board Financial Policy and management of overall company assets. In addition, he/she will be accountable for financial operations - billing, revenue collection and management, disbursements, accounting and financial reporting as well as providing advice and direction on the same.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Ensure compliance with approved budgets and timely reporting of the department’s performance as well as cash flow management
    • Develop and ensure cost reduction measures are implemented, monitored and adhered to avoid was wastage and achieve value for money.
    • Prepare financial statements as stipulated in the Public Finance Management Act 2015 and in accordance with International Financial Standards.
    • Ensure timely presentation of the above statement to the office of Auditor General.
    • Ensure timely presentation of the above statements to the office of Auditor.
    • Timely preparations of monthly, quarterly financial statements and forward them to the
    • Managing Director for onward forwarding to the office of the CECM Finance, and CECM Water Environment and Natural Resource after presentation and approval by the Board.
    • Lead the development of a sound budgeting and budgetary control framework for the company.
    • Ensure achievement of the overall financial goals of the Company
    • Lead the development of policies and systems to support efficient functions framework
    • Lead the development of procedures and processes to assure efficient service delivery and quality of services
    • Initiate, develop and maintain sound and mutual relationships and network with relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide sound leadership and supervision to staff in the department while ensuring proper books of account are maintained and comply with the accepted international standards.
    • Monitor the company’s budgetary performance highlighting key variances for management action
    • Lead the revenue growth diversification of the company and monitor the company’s performance including revenue growth patterns and productivity
    • Accurate and timely generation of Financial Reports and preparation of special reports as required by management, stakeholders and regulatory authorities
    • Ensure the company’s compliance in relation to tax and other statutory regulations
    • Approve all bill adjustments and act as the signatory to all bank accounts
    • Management of financial risk and the revenue collection process
    • Perform any other related duties as delegated by Managing Director.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field.
    • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
    • Membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and be of good standing.
    • At least five (5) years of progressive accounting experience with three (3) years in supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), taxation, and financial management practices.
    • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Commercial Manager

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of commercial function including formulation, periodic review and implementation of the strategy for service delivery and revenue generation is and ensure effective implementation.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Develop long-term business strategies and operating plans for the department which are in line with Strategic Plan and Business Plan.
    • Ensure provision of timely and high-quality client services that meets or exceed their expectations.
    • Develop and implement systems for positive customer relations management
    • Manage and supervise commercial aspects of the Company’s operations, particularly as they relate to revenue generation
    • Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in extended service to the existing and new clients

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or CPA (K) or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution.
    • Member of a professional body in good standing.
    • At least 7 years’ experience with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory position. Experience in the water sector will be an added advantage.
    • Master’s degree in business related field will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proficiency in ICT with strong MS office and internet use.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
    • Good analytical skills.

    Finance Officer

    JOB SUMMARY

    • The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.     Supply Chain Officer II

    • Deputize the Procurement Officer and supervise procurement operations.

    • Bachelor's degree Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (Procurement option), or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Must be a registered member of KISM
    • Must be licensed member of KISM and in good standing. 
    • At least three years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience, with at least one (1) year in supervisory role and having worked in the public or water sector will be an added advantage.

    Sewerage Attendant II

    JOB SUMMARY

    • To supervise the operation, maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment facilities, sewerage systems and related infrastructure to ensure efficient treatment of wastewater, compliance with environmental regulations, and safe working practices.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Supervise the daily operation of wastewater treatment plants and sewerage systems.
    • Ensure wastewater treatment processes comply with standards set by the NationalEnvironment Management Authority (NEMA), water sector regulators and company procedures.
    • Monitor plant performance.
    • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment is carried out.
    • Monitor wastewater quality by reviewing laboratory test results and operational records.
    • Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and performance reports.
    • Ensure proper handling and disposal of sludge and other wastewater by-products.
    • Enforce occupational health, safety and environmental standards.
    • Supervise chemical dosing and ensure safe storage and use of treatment chemicals.
    • Coordinate emergency response to equipment breakdowns, sewer blockages and plant failures.
    • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of wastewater operators and support staff.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Prepare work schedules, duty rosters, and maintenance plans.
    • Liaise with engineers, laboratory personnel, contractors and regulatory agencies.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by Sanitation Officer.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Diploma in Wastewater and Sanitation Engineering Technology or Diploma in
    • Environmental Science or Water Engineering Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Certification in occupational safety and health is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in wastewater treatment operations or sewerage systems one (1) year must be in supervisory roles.
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
