    Research Assistant - Suba/Mbita

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support practice facilitators in implementing the hypertension telehealth intervention in the assigned health facilities
    • Assist the health facility teams in adopting and integrating the hypertension telehealth intervention into routine workflows
    • Assist in the training and coordination of CHPs to conduct hypertension screening and home-based follow-up visits in the community
    • Support the CHP champions and clinic champions during the adoption of the telehealth hypertension intervention in the clinics and community
    • Assist in organizing and participating in facility meetings and community engagement activities
    • Assist in training and mentorship of CHPs in conducting hypertension screening, referral and home-based follow-up visits
    • Assist in troubleshooting the eCHIS/ Taifa care health information systems
    • Support data collection processes, including ensuring completeness and accuracy of study recordsBottom of Form
    • Reinforce adherence to protocols and the intervention workflows
    • Act as a liaison between the study team, health facility staff, and community stakeholders

    Project Manager - Kirinyaga

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparation and submission of project authorization documents to the relevant authorities, including the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation, the county commissioners, and the County directors of health and education.
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute scheduled research field sampling activities
    • Perform day-to-day management of the project team and promptly address any team issues and concerns.
    • Provide day-to-day high-level support to the PI, assisting with the implementation of research program management processes and protocols in line with best practice.
    • Perform strategic project resources planning and financial analysis.
    • Conduct team meetings to discuss project status and issues.
    • Lead research team to complete allocated tasks within the stipulated time and budget.
    • Where appropriate, organize the recruitment of assigned project research staff to ensure timely use of resources.
    • Work with Partners, sponsors, and researchers to ensure the project portfolio, objectives, and goals are achieved.
    • Routinely monitor all activities, review risks, issues, and progress, taking actions as necessary to ensure minimum impact on research deadlines.
    • Deliver project events, such as research collaboration meetings, community engagement workshops, and seminars, and coordinate appropriate publicity

    Research Assistant - Kirinyaga

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing data, including data entry.
    • Receiving and directing the participants in the field.
    • Helping the local participants understand the research in detail.
    • Administering questionnaires to the participants in the field.
    • Mobilizing people to take part in the research when needed.
    • Helping the rest of the team understand the community participants' views.
    • Ensuring proper storage of all the data collected from the field.
    • Helping the rest of the team with any work as it arises, for example, sample sorting.
    • Assist with project outreach and the dissemination of research findings.

    Medical Imaging Technologist - Kirinyaga

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the review of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in ultrasound techniques
    • Implement the assigned field task in ultrasonography during fieldwork
    • Support field work, anthropometric measurements, and triaging of participants
    • Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
    • Perform regular sonography and ultrasound apparatus/equipment maintenance and servicing.
    • Assist in data management, including accurate management and archiving of digital bioimages from scans.
    • Conduct other physiological examinations on participants, including Spirometry, Grip strength, Leg force assessment, among others.
    • Assist in project outreach and research findings dissemination.
