    Global Operations and Projects Lead

     Opportunity

    • We are seeking a highly organised, ambitious, and business-minded individual to join the Office of the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and support the delivery of key operational priorities across a complex, multi-country organisation.
    • This role focuses on owning and coordinating central operational initiatives, ensuring consistent standards, strong execution, and effective collaboration across teams and geographies. The successful candidate will work closely with the COO and country teams to drive progress on priority programmes, support cross-functional initiatives, and strengthen operational discipline across the organisation.
    • This is a hands-on, execution-focused role at the centre of the organisation, combining project management, programme ownership, and operational coordination. It offers strong exposure to senior leadership and is well suited to a high-performing individual looking to build broad operational experience in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Cross-Cutting Projects & Operational Initiatives

    • Support the COO in delivering key cross-country projects and organisational priorities, including:
    • Organisation-wide initiatives
    • Strategic operational improvement initiatives
    • Central projects that likely affect all countries
    • Coordinate and track progress on cross-functional initiatives, ensuring visibility, accountability, and timely execution
    • Work with country teams and functional leads to align plans, monitor delivery, and resolve bottlenecks
    • Provide structured project management support, including planning, facilitation, and follow-up

    Compliance & Operational Standards

    • Support the development and coordination of group-wide compliance frameworks across areas such as:
    • Health and safety
    • Environmental and social governance (ESG)
    • Insurance and risk management – supporting finance colleagues
    • Operational excellence
    • Coordinate with country teams to ensure consistent implementation of policies, standards, and reporting
    • Track compliance requirements, deadlines, and key risk areas across geographies
    • Support audits, reviews, and continuous improvement of operational processes and controls
    • Maintain clear documentation and reporting on compliance and operational standards

    Pharo Management Volunteer Program

    • Own and coordinate the Pharo Management Volunteer Program across multiple countries, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for all participants
    • Plan and manage logistics including travel, accommodation, and on-the-ground coordination across school campuses and operational sites
    • Act as the central point of coordination between Pharo Management, country teams, and school leadership
    • Ensure clear communication, scheduling, and alignment of expectations across all stakeholders
    • Track participation, gather feedback, and continuously improve the structure and delivery of the program

    Social Media Manager

    Opportunity

    • A Social Media Manager at Pharo Foundation is responsible for executing the organisation’s digital voice across platforms, ensuring that content clearly communicates impact, programmes, and strategic priorities. This role will focus on planning and producing high-quality multimedia content, managing posting schedules, and maintaining consistent branding and messaging across countries and projects. The role also involves analysing performance data to refine strategy, growing and engaging online audiences, and supporting key campaigns, partnerships, and fundraising efforts through targeted social media content.

    Key Responsibilities

    Social Media Management:

    • Execute approved social media strategy
    • Develop and execute relevant campaign ideas
    • Manage content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting
    • Oversight of all social channels owned by Pharo Foundation (from main global channels to school, country specific, and Ventures channels)
    • Track performance metrics and analyse data to optimise content and strategy
    • Support fundraising, advocacy, and partnership campaigns through digital storytelling
    • Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, and platform updates
    • Manage audience engagement by reposting, replying comments, engaging with stakeholders and competitors online
    • Manage reputational risk by monitoring online sentiment and addressing issues proactively
    • The chosen candidate will launch social media campaigns on the basis of partner targets discussed with the director of partnerships
    • The chosen candidate will contribute jointly with the podcast team to launch marketing campaigns for the podcast per episode, based on the episode-specific identification of targets

    Content Creation:

    • Produce multimedia content including graphics, short-form videos, photography, and written copy
    • Write clear, compelling captions tailored to different platforms and audiences
    • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging priorities
    • Spell and grammar check captions and subtitles
    • Assist the team in developing creative concepts that translate programme work into engaging, audience-friendly stories
    • Create campaign-specific content to support fundraising, advocacy, and awareness efforts
    • Maintain an organised content library of photos, videos, and assets

    Qualifications & Experience

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, and any complementary fields like communications, English, or sociology. 
    • At least 7 years hands-on experience in Social Media Management and content creation.
    • Experience managing successful social media pages on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok.

    Desired Skills

    • Proficiency in communication, interpersonal relations, and following up on group projects
    • Demonstrated ability to use Adobe Suite Programmes as well as other relevant editing software
    • Copywriting and editing: crafting clear, compelling, and platform-specific messaging
    • Social media management tools – experience with platforms like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, or Later
    • Using tools such as Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics to track performance and inform strategy
    • Ability to use the above tools as well as platform analytics to craft informative reports about progress and performance
    • Competency and understanding of SEO and digital optimisation
    • Adaptability – responding quickly to changes, feedback, and emerging trends

    Website Manager and Designer

    • This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a diverse and evolving web ecosystem at the heart of the Pharo Foundation’s work. Spanning our main Foundation site, schools platform, Ventures portfolio, and internal intranet, the role offers the chance to shape how Pharo presents itself to global audiences while ensuring our digital platforms remain dynamic, accessible, and aligned with our mission. Sitting at the intersection of Communications and IT, you will play a central role in connecting storytelling, technology, and user experience. In this role, we expect fluency with AI tools. A significant portion of this role, including content drafts, image editing, SEO audits, accessibility reviews, copy iteration, can be accelerated with the right tools. We want someone who already works this way.
    • As our work grows, so too will our digital presence. This role offers the opportunity not only to maintain and improve existing sites, but also to contribute creatively to new builds and redesigns, working independently and alongside external partners.     • Use and manage various CMS and backend platforms to implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and optimise performance.
    • Oversee website governance, including structure, content workflows, permissions, and version control.

    • At least Bachelors Degree in Information and Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field.

    • Proven experience managing and updating multiple websites, ideally across different CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Drupal, or similar).
    • Experience working in a cross-functional role bridging communications/content and technical teams.
    • Demonstrated involvement in website redesigns or new site launches.
    • Familiarity with working alongside external web agencies or developers.
