    Carbon Communication Officer

    About the Role:

    BURN is looking for a Carbon Communications Officer who will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s communications strategy for its carbon business. This role will ensure that BURN is seen as a thought leader by current and potential investors, carbon project developers, as well as the wider clean cooking, sustainability, and climate change communities.

    The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating all carbon-related company communication, corporate announcements, and investor communication.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead all communications for our carbon business – including marketing credits for sale, and promoting the BURN brand
    • Deliver the carbon communications strategy, including public relations & reputation management
    • Create and deliver a calendar of marketing and comms needs for carbon
    • Outline core messaging that supports BURN’s mission, vision, and values
    • Write copy for adverts, social media posts, and other online publications
    • Contribute blogs and articles that position BURN as an industry thought leader
    • Tailor messaging to internal and external audiences with differing needs, motivations, and perspectives
    • Project manage the production of graphics and collaterals
    • Guide the graphics team to create the right materials for different carbon audiences
    • Make tweaks and modifications to existing carbon materials and decks
    • Manage media relations and maximize media opportunities for BURN’s carbon credits business
    • Plan and execute all carbon-related events and partnerships e.g., securing speaking positions at carbon conferences
    • Collaborate with BURN’s investors to promote joint ventures
    • Be the guardian of the carbon product's brand & image both to internal and external stakeholders
    • Define and implement clear strategies to achieve brand goals, objectives & KPIs for our carbon business
    • Support & liaise with the carbon team in all areas concerning communications
    • Measure and regularly report on the impact of carbon communications to management

    Skills & Experience

    • Experience leading communications for a brand, product, or organisation
    • Experience of communications within the carbon or sustainability sector is desirable
    • Excellent grasp of writing for different audiences including social media, traditional media, blogs, investor communications etc.
    • Strong written English and copyediting skills
    • Graphic design skills are desirable – or demonstrated ability to work closely with designers
    • Experience managing various stakeholders – including media
    • Highly collaborative and empathetic with colleagues & clients
    • Thrives in complex, fast-paced environments
    • Process-orientated with strong time-management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to change course as required
    • Willing to do the necessary tasks with a positive attitude
    • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

    Business Analyst

    About the Role:

    BURN is looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for gathering business data in different ways, including mining a company's homegrown data, competitor data, and industry trends. With the data collected, the BI analyst will help develop a picture of the company's competitiveness compared to other players in the market. Accordingly, they suggest improvement solutions. The business intelligence analyst role is highly analytical and requires a balance of big data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Business intelligence (BI) analyst is expected to transform data into insights that drive business value.

    Through the use of data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling techniques and technologies, the BI analyst should be able to unearth insights from the data that can help other departments, managers, and executives make business decisions to modernize and improve processes in the organization.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Generate BI reports, dashboards, and data models with the help of BI tools and MS-Office products and present consequent reports to management.
    • Monitor analytics and metrics results and communicate the same effect promptly to user departments and any other external stakeholders.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Strong background in statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, economics, or a related field.
    • Wide experience in data analysis especially quantitative and strong computer skills using such tools like Ms. Excel, R, and SPSS and standard business and graphics software on Windows platforms like Power BI, Tableau, etc. and in a big data environment
    • Aptitude for quantitative problem solving and precision.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in an informal, collegial environment.
    • Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
