    Human Resource Officer(HRO)

    Position Overview: 

    • In your role as a HRO based in Nairobi, your main duty is to supervise all HR and administrative tasks encompassing recruitment, contracting, onboarding, performance management, attendance, disciplinary matters, and offboarding for personnel at our client site. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining robust work place relationships.

    Operations Manager (International Supply Chain Management)

    Role Overview

    • We are looking for a hands-on and structured Operations Manager to lead our Nairobi operations. This role requires someone who can lead a team, solve problems effectively, build clear processes, and simplify complex operations while ensuring smooth daily execution.The role extends beyond the Kenya market and involves managing international suppliers and clients, as well as coordinating with shipping lines, transporters, and 3PL partners around the globe.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise, lead, and support the operations team on a daily basis
    • Manage workload, ensure proper coverage, and drive team accountability
    • Act as the main point of contact for operational issues and resolve them efficiently
    • Lead cross-functional coordination with internal departments (trading, treasury, trade finance…) to design, align, and implement efficient operational processes

    PLC/DLC Boiler Operator

    JOB OBJECTIVE:

    • To safely and efficiently operate and maintain PLC/DLC-controlled boilers of approximately 20 TPH capacity connected to a turbine, ensuring optimal boiler performance, reliability, safety, and continuous steam supply to support uninterrupted plant operations.

    DETAILED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operate Low / high pressure boilers, including starting and shutting down.
    • Monitor boiler operations and react to varying load requirements.
    • Perform constant visual checks, read gauges, and manipulate controls.
    • Assure that various meter readings of pressure and temperature are recorded.
    • Inspect boiler pipes, valves, pumps, and safety devices for leaks and malfunctions.
    • Periodically inspect and adjust control mechanisms.
    • Blow down boiler when conductive solids and impurities exceed specified limits; test high and low pressure safety controls.
    • May supervise daily maintenance on boilers including oil and greasing of stokers, fans, motors, hydraulic / Pneumatic, Various type of Valves operation, Pressure Switch, Safety Valves, etc. If any and other operating mechanisms.
    • Observe fire and safety precautions.
    • May be responsible for chemical makeup of water, testing of water qualities, and checking viscosity of oil, including:
    • Adding chemicals to condition boiler water.
    • Maintaining a chemical balance in boiler water according to prescribed procedures.
    • Performing conductivity, alkalinity, phosphate, silica, sulphate, and other hardness tests.
    • Adding chemicals to boilers needed to maintain a good chemical balance.
    • May order gas and oil deliveries.
    • Prepare and maintain records on treatment, oil, gas chemicals consumption, TDS, PPM, PH and steam and hot water production with respect quality of fuel, water, etc.
    • Cooperate and work with State and other inspectors as required.
    • May perform general maintenance duties requiring skills in plumbing, painting or mechanical trades.
    • May investigate and take corrective action for emergency repairs with respect to safety.

    ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

    • Operate respective production related plants/machines/equipment of respective department.
    • Perform routine maintenance of related plants/machines/equipment of respective department to maintain from safety with smooth operation.

    PLC/DLC Boiler Supervisor

    Main Job Purpose

    • To supervise and oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of PLC/DLC-controlled boilers of approximately 20 TPH capacity connected to a turbine, ensuring optimal boiler performance, continuous steam supply, compliance with safety standards, and effective team performance.

    DETAILED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures the safety of all employees through effective implementation of the Safety standards
    • Directs and supervises the operation of boilers, turbines, generators and related auxiliary equipment on their shift.
    • Coordinates with Engineering for the production of electrical power including hourly loading, unit start-ups, shutdowns, etc.
    • Analyzes, troubleshoots and corrects plant operating problems that arise from shift to shift which could affect safety, environment, reliability, and efficiency.
    • Ensures all operating problems are clearly described in sufficient detail to expedite repairs.
    • Coordinates work with maintenance and technical departments, both outage and non-outage.
    • Provides training on shift to ensure operators are competent in the performance of their job duties.
    • Supervise routine housekeeping duties as assigned by maintaining site tidiness and general good housekeeping throughout the plant.
    • Ensure reliable operational records are maintained and recorded for historical purposes and to document performance metrics for the plant.
    • Participate in mandatory training sessions related to Utility Systems. Act as mentor and conduct on-the-job training of personnel in the department.
    • Prepares daily reports of shift operations, facilitates the daily operations morning meetings of management staff and performs operating administrative functions on a shift basis.
    • Performs plant performance reviews daily, weekly & monthly including employee evaluation and administering manpower utilization.
    • Sets clear goals and standards for performance and holds assigned personnel accountable to achieve them.
    • Making job assignments, completing required shift documentation, and directing emergency response.
    • Respond to emergency situations immediately and work quickly to correct the problem(s).
    • Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance and reactive/life-cycle works in a competent, safe and efficient manner.
    • Oversee the operation of boilers/other machines in the plant.
    • Supervise operations of the feed hoppers, maintain the correct levels of fuel in the boiler hoppers, mix and level fuel in the log yard using front-end loader and observe the unloading of delivery trucks for unacceptable wood waste *To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

    ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

    • Direct and supervise operations of boilers and water heating systems

    • Plan and coordinate training of boiler operators
