    Credit Intern

    Job Description/Requirements

    Background Hewat Tle Limited is part of a group of companies that share a vision of providing innovative health solutions through cost effective and evidence-based methods. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Center for Public Health and Development (CPHD) group, a non-profit organization. Hewa Tele’s mission is to provide affordable medical Oxygen in Sub-Saharan Africa to avert preventable deaths.

    The intern will be placed in the Finance & Procurement division, reporting to the Group Finance, Procurement &IT Manager. He/She will be trained to support the division in achievement of the following Account receivables roles.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Delivering invoices to clients
    2. Raising Invoices
    3. Effectively following up with customers and updating their accounts on timely basis
    4. Carrying out Debtor’s reconciliation, preparing credit reports and making proposals where necessary for keeping debtors figures as low as possible
    5. Enlisting the efforts of senior management when necessary to accelerate debt collection processes.
    6. Establishing and maintaining effective cooperative working relationships with clients and staff members.
    7. Making contact with and conducting visits to defaulting customers for assigned accounts with an aim of updating collections
    8. Weekly and monthly reporting to immediate seniors on debt collection and customer service issues.
    9. Contributing towards meeting defined department goals and activity metrics
    10. Performing other assigned tasks and duties within the division
    11. Reconciliation of client’s statements.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    1. A Business related degree.
    2. CPA Part 2
    3. Knowledge in Account Receivables
    4. Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
    5. Some work experience in a similar role preferably in corporate collections

    Finance Intern

    The intern will be placed in the Finance & Procurement division, reporting to the Group Finance, Procurement &IT Manager. The intern will be trained to support the division in attainment of the enlisted matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Processing payments
    2. Receipting
    3. Preparation and submission of statutory deductions
    4. Entering data into Navision daily transactions and monthly journal vouchers with great accuracy
    5. Maintaining petty cash register
    6. Perform detailed filling of documents so that they can be retrieved and audited
    7. Record accounts payable and Accounts receivables
    8. Reconcile bank statements through the system
    9. Track bank deposits and payments
    10. Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
    11. Assist with budget preparation
    12. Participate in financial audits

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    1. A Business related degree.
    2. CPA Part 2
    3. Navision software skills
