    Key responsibilities

    Operational Management

    • Setting out
    • Interpolation of levels
    • Levelling
    • Calculations of cut-to-fill quantities
    • Countour drawing
    • Use equipment and tools to accurately measure land features

    People and Relationship Management

    • Supervise and give guidance to field staff

    Reporting & Analysis 

    • Report on survey results and present findings to Engineer

    HSEQ 

    • Follow HSEQ Procedure all times

    Compliance 

    • Company policies and standard operating procedure
    • All relevant laws and regulations

    Perform any other duties assigned. 

    Qualifications

    Education/Qualification:

    • Diploma in Land Survey

    Work Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience

    IT Skills:

    • Working knowledge of CAD Software, GPS, and GIS

    Language:

    • Fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili

    Civil QAQC Engineer

    Description

    If quality and precision are your top priorities, we need you as our Civil QA/QC Engineer. As a Civil QA/QC Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every aspect of our civil projects meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will oversee all quality assurance and control processes, ensuring that our projects adhere to industry standards, specifications, and regulations. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will ensure that any potential issues are addressed before they become problems.

    Based in Kenya and reporting to the QAQC Manager, you will play a vital role in monitoring construction activities, performing inspections, and ensuring that materials and workmanship align with the project’s quality requirements.

    Key responsibilities

    Operational Management

    • Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
    • Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
    • Checks the preparation of foundations.
    • Checks the correct preparation of reinforcements.
    • Checks the certifications regarding element mixes. LASTM test, chemical analysis, grain size analysis.
    • Monitors atmospheric conditions during pouring operations.
    • Monitors correct curing operations.
    • Checks the sampling operations (when required).
    • Reviews the laboratory examination results.
    • Checks sub-grade dry density.
    • Checks moisture content
    • Orderly collect, check and manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections carried out witnessing the tests, controls and inspections carried out.
    • Check the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation.
    • Check the documents certifying the tests, controls and inspections carried out.
    • Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Clients requirements.

    People and Relationship Management

    • Work closely with other team members

    Reporting & Analysis 

    • Preparing Daily reports, Observations, and Non-Conformance reports as necessary

    HSEQ 

    • Follow HSEQ Procedure at all times

    Compliance 

    • Company policies and standard operating procedure
    • All relevant laws and regulations

    Qualifications

    Education/Qualification:

    • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience working on major civil/building works projects in Power Plants or Oil & Gas Industry

    IT Skills:

    • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD

    Language:

    • Fluent in spoken and written English and Swahili

    Key Competencies and Skills:

    • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of inspection procedures
