    Head of Agency & ATMs

     Job Purpose:

    This role is responsible for leading the Bank’s banking and ATM services, driving growth and profitability. This dynamic role will leverage extensive financial services experience and business acumen to foster relationships with key stakeholders. Kye responsibilities include developing and implementing policies that align with the bank’s strategy, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and overseeing end-to-end operations. The role focuses on efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement, while identifying innovative opportunities to enhance service and operational effectiveness.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and execute the strategic plan for agency banking and ATM operations, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall objectives.
    • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the agency and ATM network.

    Operational Management:

    • Oversee the daily operations of agency banking and ATM services, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.
    • Ensure the seamless integration and functionality of agency and ATM channels.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Provide training and support to agency and ATM staff to enhance their performance and customer service skills.

    Financial Oversight:

    • Manage the financial performance of agency banking and ATM operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Monitor costs and expenses, aiming to minimize them while maximizing profitability.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with agency banking and ATM operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Implement robust security measures to protect against fraud and other risks.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, partners, regulatory bodies, and external vendors to support the overall strategic direction.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

    Service Delivery:

    • Ensure high-quality service delivery through agency and ATM channels, addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
    • Monitor and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

    Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of agency banking and ATM initiatives.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.

    Innovation and Improvement:

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the bank remains competitive in the agency and ATM space.
    • Continuously identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

    Qualifications, Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
    • Computer knowledge with excel packages or exposure.
    • Over 10 years’ work experience in the Bank, 4 of which must be at senior management level.
    • Experience in overall branch operations, especially Cash, Account opening, Customer Service,)
    • Previous experience in agency banking –should be an added advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of AML & KYC
    • Knowledge of CBK Agency prudential guidelines
    • Knowledge of competitors analysis and market feedback

    Head of Mobile and Internet Banking

    Job Purpose:  

    This role is responsible for driving the adoption of the Bank's digital solutions, including mobile and online banking, among customers and within the market. The focus will be on promoting the delivery and adoption of these digital solutions, ensuring they meet customers’ daily lifestyle needs and remain relevant. The goal of this role is to increase transaction volumes, deposits, and revenues through enhanced adoption and usage of the bank’s digital offerings.

    Key Responsibilities  

    • Drive the adoption and usage of the bank’s mobile solutions. These include the full adoption and usage of the Bank Apps, Social, STK solutions as well as USSD solutions in their different segments for self-serve as well as on the bank’s channels including “Pay with Equity” merchants, Equity agents, Equity ATMs, Equity Billers among other usage options. 
    • Responsible for the Bank’s Digital P&L as well as Balance Sheet delivery. This shall include ensuring the right pricing for the bank’s digital products, revenue leakage prevention as well as mobilizing the targeted deposits through the Digital suit of solutions. 
    • Drive adoption and usage of the Bank’s internet banking solutions at the retail and corporate segments of our customers. 
    • Building on the feedback received, market intelligence gathered and research on global best practices to champion the continuous improvements and enhancements of the Digital banking solutions including but not limited to mobile and internet banking solutions as the Digital solutions product owner. 
    • Championing the Powering of the Bank’s Digital solutions to Ecommerce capable payment platforms while adopting the greatest safety standards to secure transactions. 
    • Responsible for the Digital solutions governance in ensuring firm controls, adherence to the laid down processes and procedures as well as championing controls reviews. 
    • Ensure all staff are fully trained and fully understand the Bank’s Digital solutions sufficiently to consume and advocate for them. 
    • Partner with the relevant stakeholder to deliver a Daily Relevant Digital solutions proposal in the market. The solution must be the go-to solution for all matters credit, payments, entertainment, logistics, transport, fashion, and information among other daily lifestyle engagements for the market.  
    • Work with the Communications Division and other stakeholders to drive awareness and preference for the bank’s Digital solutions in the market. This role must position the bank as the true driver of Digital solutions in the market

    Qualifications, Experience  

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology. A master’s degree or Leadership Programs will be an added advantage. 
    • Over 10 years’ experience in managing an arm of the payments business, 4 of which must be at senior management level.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to assess risk and determine appropriate levels of return.
    • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to deliver results, maintain objectivity, and foster strong interpersonal relationships within the team.
    • In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate governance within the digital space.
    • Skilled at building and maintaining effective relationships with local regulators, government bodies, and officials.
    • Excellent at stakeholder management, with a focus on nurturing positive, productive relationships across various levels.

     Key Competencies & Skills

    Manager IT Governance and Service Management

    Job Purpose Statement 

    The IT Governance Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust IT Governance Framework that aligns IT strategies with business objectives using COBIT 2019, ITIL, ISO standards and other applicable Technology standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.  

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IT governance framework, including policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, aligned with industry best practices (e.g., COBIT 2019, ITIL, ISO 27001). 
    • Regularly review and update the IT governance framework to ensure its effectiveness and relevance in a changing business and technology landscape. 
    • Define and track key IT performance metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of IT governance controls and support data-driven decision-making. 
    • Facilitate IT risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential IT-related risks, including security risks, compliance risks, and operational risks 
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that IT initiatives adhere to governance standards, support strategic goals and deliver value 
    • Manage the IT policies, procedures and processes lifecycle, including testing, attestation, awareness, and enforcement. 
    • Provide training and guidance on governance issues to stakeholders and ensure that IT policies and procedures are communicated effectively to all stakeholders and are readily accessible. 
    • Prepare reports for senior management to enhance decision-making and drive continuous improvement in IT governance practices. 
    • Foster a culture of accountability and transparency within the IT department to ensure effective oversight and management of IT resources. 
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across business units (e.g., HR, Legal, Finance, Operations, Internal Controls) to understand their specific IT needs and ensure IT governance policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented.  
    • Support in managing, developing, implementing and monitoring business continuity plans to ensure proper prevention and recovery from potential IT threats. 
    • In liaison with the other IT stakeholders, maintain up-to-date disaster recovery plans and ensure recovery procedures are effective for restoration of key IT systems and therefore resuming critical business processes. 
    • Stay up to date on changes to regulatory requirements and industry standards and adapt IT governance policies and procedures accordingly

    Qualifications

    Knowledge & Skills  

    • Bachelor's or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
    • Hold relevant industry certifications (CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, ITIL etc) 
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in Information Technology with at least 4 years of proven experience in IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance. 
    • Strong knowledge of IT Governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001). 

    Key Skills and Competencies 

    • Excellent in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation  
    • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills  
    • Ability to handle high pressure situations and complex projects with key stakeholders.  
    • Good analytical skills; ability to provide intuitive reports & dashboards from a variety of data sources.   
    • Proficiency in analysis and presentations skills using MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
