    Operations Manager

    What You’ll Do

    • Production & Inventory Management
    • Lead and oversee daily production operations, ensuring output meets quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
    • Develop and execute production schedules aligned to sales and inventory needs.
    • Demand planning & forecasting - getting ahead of sales/demand trends, aligning with our production flows and timelines
    • Manage inventory controls to ensure raw materials and finished goods are available without overstocking.
    • Order Fulfillment & Logistics
    • Manage operations team including logistics, planning, and order fulfillment teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders
    • Attention to AR and payments
    • Use of ERPs (Zoho Inventory, Books, Analytics) to ensure proper fulfillment and order tracking
    • Oversee domestic and export logistics providers and systems Systems, Tools & SOPs
    • Implement and refine operational systems and tools to streamline workflows across departments.
    • Ensure SOPs are created, documented, and consistently used—balancing proliferation with meaningful impact.
    • Use data analytics to identify bottlenecks, measure performance, and drive operational decision-making.
    • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Manage and develop the Operations team, Production Manager, Facilities,
    • HR, IT, and Procurement teams.
    • Ensure smooth coordination between departments, especially where workflows overlap.
    • Act as the point person for operational decision-making in the absence of the COO/CEO.
    • Data & Reporting
    • Produce and review department financial reports, tracking budgets, expenses, and operational KPIs.
    • Maintain robust controls for procurement, stock management, and operational expenditures.
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and quality improvements.
    • Lead problem-solving sessions and implement changes that deliver
    • measurable results.

    What You’ll Need

    • 5+ years in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain leadership roles (FMCG experience preferred).
    • Strong systems thinking skills—able to design, connect, and improve processes across functions.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and workstreams.
    • Proficiency with operational software, inventory tools, and data analysis (Excel, Zoho, or similar).
    • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
    • A practical mindset with an eye for detail and a bias for action.
    • Experience with forecasting, demand planning, and coordination between production/procurement and sales.

    Retail Experience Associate

    We’re looking for a vibrant, people-focused Retail Experience Associate who thrives on conversation, connection, and closing sales. You’ll curate, plan, and run markets, activations, and in-store events that bring Grounded to life—ensuring every customer feels seen, heard, and inspired to try something new. You’ll lead by example on the sales floor, energize your team, and make sure our merchandising is always at its best.

    What You’ll Do

    • Markets & Activations
    • Curate and plan Grounded’s presence at markets, pop-ups, activations, and retail events.
    • Lead on-the-ground execution—engaging customers, telling the Grounded story, and confidently closing sales.
    • Ensure activators and merchandizers follow display SOPs and merchandising scripts to perfection.
    • Track performance of each activation, reporting on sales, customer feedback, and learnings.
    • Retail Experience Management
    • Serve as the face of Grounded for events, retail launches, and factory tours—making visitors feel welcome, informed, and excited.
    • Maintain consistent visual merchandising standards across all retail touchpoints.
    • Collaborate with the Retail Sales Manager to design and execute promotional campaigns and product launches.
    • Manage all of Grounded direct retail touch points (kiosks, shop fronts).
    • Campaign Development & Messaging
    • In collaboration with marketing, draft campaigns and focused talking points / or launch materials, and train activation and merchandizing teams on the same.
    • Contribute to product/promotion and signage/set up strategies to keep the brand premium and fresh for our target audience.
    • Team Management & Training
    • Train activators and merchandizers on product knowledge, customer engagement, and merchandising guidelines.
    • Lead from the front - demonstrating great sales conversations and setting the tone for excellent service.
    • Motivate the team to hit and exceed sales targets.
    • Inventory & Sales
    • Manage inventory for events and activations, including stock movement, replenishment, and returns.
    • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets at retail and market events.
    • Provide accurate post-event reconciliations of sales and stock.
    • Customer Communications & Marketing Messages
    • Execute marketing messaging efforts to drive sales traction directly with customers (eg - dormant customers, other reminders or messaging triggers)
    • Contribute to SMS/What’s App marketing automations and strategy, use of the CRM

    What You’ll Need

    • 2–4 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or events (FMCG experience strongly preferred).
    • Proven track record in sales, with a talent for building rapport quickly.
    • Strong knowledge of inventory controls and visual merchandising.
    • Experience managing and motivating a team.
    • A natural conversationalist - confident, approachable, and persuasive.
    • Ability to plan and execute campaigns, launches, and events.
    • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings and travel to events as needed

    Modern Trade Supervisor / Team Leader

    We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven Retail Supervisor / Team Leader t drive Tier 1 modern trade sales and ensure Grounded products are winning in-store. You’ll manage our team of merchandizers, secure the best shelf placement, execute promotions, and unblock operational issues — making sure our brand stands out and sells through. You’ll also be the key link between sales, marketing, and operations to keep modern trade partners happy and growing.

    What You’ll Do

    • Sales & Account Management
    • Oversee Tier 1 modern trade accounts - like Carrefour, Chandarana, Naivas,
    • QuickMart, etc. ensuring listings are maintained and new opportunities are secured.
    • Work with buyers and store managers to secure premium shelf placement, secondary displays, and promotional space.
    • Plan and execute in-store promotions, launches, and seasonal campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
    • Track and report on sales performance by generating and sharing
    • comprehensive reports on team objectives, deadlines, and performance,
    • while providing actionable insights to improve sell-through.
    • Team Leadership & Merchandizing
    • Lead, coach, and manage a team of merchandizers to ensure perfect execution in-store.
    • Conduct regular store visits to check planogram compliance, stock levels,and display standards.
    • Train merchandizers on product knowledge, customer engagement, and Grounded SOPs.
    • Manage team schedules, performance reviews, and continuous improvement plans.
    • Operational Excellence
    • Act as the first point of contact to resolve any stock, invoicing, or delivery issues with modern trade partners.
    • Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
    • Ensure merchandising tools, POS materials, and promotional items are available and deployed effectively.
    • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional strategies; report and recommend counteractions.

    What You’ll Need

    • 3–5 years in FMCG retail sales, with strong exposure to Tier 1 modern trade.
    • Proven experience managing merchandizing teams.
    • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with buyers and store managers.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to unblock issues quickly.
    • Data-driven mindset — comfortable working with sales reports and KPIs.
    • A valid driver's license and being okay with traveling between locations
