    Design Lead

    REF: DL/08/2021 – DESIGN LEAD

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Design Lead will be responsible for managing a team of designers responsible for creating end-to-end product designs that will deliver distinctive digital experiences for I&M’s customers and employees.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a Design Lead, you will report to the Digital Factory Manager and shall be responsible for:

    • Manage a team of 5 – 6 designers
    • Mentor and guide designers according to their seniority level and career aspirations
    • Take part in planning and coordination across teams and stakeholders
    • Contribute in designing and delivering elegant and delightful product experiences as part of a cross-functional Agile product team
    • Defining the user experience journeys and driving the vision of the visual style and brand positioning relative to design guidelines and contributing to developing our design system and processes.
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to solve business challenges through designs thinking and maintain a level of design consistency and coherence across client organization products.
    • Clearly articulating proposed design and key decisions with Product Managers.
    • Must be a team player capable of working closely with the Designers, Engineers and Business Leads
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast paced, and high-pressure organizations
    • Understanding of current mobile and web technologies
    • Be organized, detail-oriented and results-driven across various products.

    COMPETENCIES   REQUIREMENT:

    Qualification

    • Design Degree or any other relevant course/ qualification in design studies

    Experience

    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI design and at least 2 years in a leadership role
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast paced, and high-pressure organizations
    • Understanding of current mobile and web technologies
    • Be organized, detail-oriented and results-driven
    • Experience designing quality digital products with user-centred design that spans mobile and web interfaces
    • Experience with a diverse set of software such as the Adobe XD, InVision, Sketch, Zeplin, and other tools for Graphic / Visual Design
    • Basic coding skills that help make your vision a reality is a plus
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tight deadlines efficiently

    Knowledge

    Software Quality Assurance Engineer

    REF: IQA/4/2021- SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    ICube’s mandate is to produce software to improve processes for both internal and external customers. To support quality delivery of the software, a Quality Assurance Engineer oversees the process of software delivery by ensuring efficiency in the operations and reliability of the software product.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a member of the team, you are required to:

    • Test Case Creation; Including writing automated tests.
    • Test Plan Creation.
    • Requirements Analysis including Risk Analysis.
    • Defect Logging: Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing.

    • You have programming experience with Java or JavaScript
    • A minimum of 4 years working experience as an intermediate quality analyst.

    Branch Manager – Kisumu Branch

    PURPOSE:

    The role is responsible for effectively growing the portfolio by working on strategies to acquire new customers, retain and expand through cross selling the relationship with existing customers. This is a P&L role where the role holder is expected to grow the profitability of the portfolio at the branch.  Performance indicators include growth in Total Net Revenue, loan assets, CASA deposits, High Cost deposits, Growth in Non funded income, Management of asset quality, New to Bank revenue, management of operational losses and enhanced customer satisfaction / experience.

    The Incumbent will report to the General Manager- Personal and Business Banking and will be responsible for:

    • Marketing and sales for new business in both assets and liabilities for the branch;
    • Cross selling all the Bank products to the existing and new portfolio of customers;
    • Arranging meetings with potential and existing clients for higher engagement and exploring business opportunities;
    • Monitoring accounts and following up for repayments and remedial action where accounts may become delinquent;
    • Setting targets for the Branch teams and monitoring performance to ensure the Branch achieves its overall business targets;
    • Reviewing the credit applications and call reports prepared by the Relationship Officer and making appropriate recommendations to the approving authorities;
    • Reviewing the daily overrides report as well as over the counter payments and making appropriate decisions or recommendations.
    • Processing of ad-hoc/additional/new requests/complaints/excesses and obtaining approvals where/when required;
    • Following up with customers to ensure compliance with sanctioned terms and conditions with respect to account operations and provision of all requisite documents and covenants;
    • Complying with audit observations and initiating necessary action and follow up with clients;
    • Educating and creating awareness for the client on new products, Banking regulations, requirements and industry trends;
    • Providing feedback to Senior Management on customer requirements/ market trends/product development to suit the needs of the customers;

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

    Academic Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution will be an added advantage; and
    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Management or Accounting from a recognized institution

    Professional Qualifications

    • Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma (CIM); and
    • Member of Associate of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) or its equivalent professional body.

    Experience

    • At least 5 years relevant experience.

    Generic Competencies

    Head – Client Solutions

    PURPOSE:

    The Head of Client Solutions will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy and business growth for the new lines of business initiatives in conjunction with the Segments.  This would be by creating, implementing, and supporting relevant solutions and services to serve the customer segments with focus on Diaspora, Green Lending and Agri-business.  The role holder will also be overseeing the central prospecting unit responsible for analytics / lead generation for enhancing cross-sell / upsell for the segments.

    • Institute strong management processes through metrics and data driven decisioning and utilization of business management tools including the sales dashboard, CRM, data analytics, revenue realization, revenue ramp-up, attrition management,

    • Lead client discovery, solutioning, onboarding, integration, and optimization activities
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, implementations and other partners to solution and win deals

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

    Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field from a recognized institution.
    • Master’s degree in Business, Finance or its equivalent from a recognized institution an added advantage; and
    • Data Analytics qualification is an added advantage

    Experience

    • At least 7 years relevant experience, 3 of which must have been at managerial level
    • Experience in Sales Force effectiveness techniques
    • Well versed in managing and owning a P&L
    • Experience in Diaspora or Agri business lending is an added advantage
    • Experience in all facets of Retail and Business Banking, including extensive client facing experience.
