    Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst

    The Position:

    The IT SAM Analyst will ensure that bank I.T Software Assets are accurately defined, recorded, and updated, and that the proper accountabilities and controls are in place (internally and externally) to prevent and manage risks associated with the accuracy and completeness of the Software Asset information.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining the contract data for all suppliers and informing the relevant KCB parties on expiry of the software agreements and contracts.
    • Monitoring License utilization levels for all Assets in the Bank using the SAM tool.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT SAM Tool.
    • Manage and maintain the data sources for software assets, usage metrics and ensure they are continuously up to date and valid for all IT assets in the Bank.
    • Generate dashboards and present license compliance reports (regularly or upon request) by leveraging existing software asset management tool and software discovery tool.
    • In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, develop, maintain, and perform continuous process improvements and automations for licensing usage driving efficiency and cost savings.
    • Process software license requests and renewals through the Bank’s Procurement process.
    • Track the KPIs in the service level agreement (SLAs) with the vendors and ensure adherence to the contract terms.
    • Understand internal customer needs and mature ITAM products, processes, and procedures to meet them.
    • Participate in vendor audits and carry out periodic internal audit of the bank’s Software Licenses to ensure that it tallies with records held in the Software Asset Manager.

    The Person:  

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Business related.
    • A certification in ITIL Foundation/COBIT.
    • 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in IT with at least 2 years’ experience in Applications Support, Infrastructure Support (Hardware & Network), Service Desk support.
    • Good knowledge of IT Service Management processes, particularly Change Management.

    Application Support Specialist

    The Position:

    This role is responsible for the delivery of Technology services and administration of enterprise applications that provide a high level of service, system performance and functionality required to meet business objectives and customer (internal/external) expectations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with other Technology staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
    • Implement and adhere to regular systems maintenance policies and procedures, including change request mechanisms and update schedules to ensure optimum uptime and service availability.
    • Participate in system acquisition process; propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, charts and implementation roadmaps to provide strategic direction to the business.
    • Administer the assigned Systems at Application level and connected databases, define and optimize database structures, content and processing flows through appropriate Data Definition, Data Manipulation and Data Control Languages.
    • Perform recovery and testing of systems and processes in accordance with the bank’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
    • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, and processes.
    • Ensure compliance of SLAs on data and system availability with other Technology system users.
    • Attend to adhoc user requests, ECRM and ITSM calls.

    The Person:  

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 2 years’ experience in technology with at least 2 years’ experience in Computing platforms, operating systems and databases.
    • Knowledge in SAP and E-Business suite applications.
    • An Understanding of UNIX operating environment.

    Application Developer

    The Position:

    The Application Developer shall design and code functional programs and applications. The Developer will have excellent knowledge of at least two programming languages. They must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail. The goal is to write “clean” and flawless code to produce fully functional software applications according to requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand business requirements and how they translate to application features.
    • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications.
    • Design creative prototypes according to specifications.
    • Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines.
    • Perform unit and integration testing before launch.
    • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
    • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
    • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features.
    • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.

    • CI/CD and DevOps Principles adherence and utilization.
    • Prepare and execute all phases of the Agile Scrum to agreed standards and specifications.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • University degree from a recognized institution preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
    • JAVA programming certification.
    • Certification in Cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Openshift etc.
    • 3 years’ experience in Technology with at least 2 years’ experience in developing enterprise grade highly scalable Java based applications.
    • Application development experience using any of the following technologies: 
      Java 1.8+, Spring Framework, Apache Camel, Spring Boot, Restful Services (JAX-RS), REST and SOAP API, Java Testing Frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMockito), Microservices, JPA/JDBI, Openshift.
    • Good understanding of continuous integration tools such as GIT, Jenkins, XLR etc. 
    • Extensive experience in Java development, RESTFUL web services, JPA, and unit testing code coverage.
    • Able to work with a variety of customers and collaborate with technical teams.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment.

    Audit and Risk Analyst

    The Position:

    The purpose of this role is to monitor and enforce compliance with KCB Group Technology Policies, Standards, Guidelines, and principles. The Job holder will be expected to implement the set-out tactics & monitor the consistent application of Governance processes and Systems configuration guidelines in conformance with KCB Technology Policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To monitor Technology Systems Status against set baseline standards and configurations,  generate exception reports, assign actions and track remedial measures.
    • To drive compliance to KCB Group Technology Policies, Standards and Processes through awareness, education, proactive reporting and escalations.
    • To periodically review and report on the status of IT General Controls, recommend adjustments and changes required to improve efficacy.
    • To monitor IT Capacity Utilization, setting appropriate thresholds, exception triggers and reporting to senior management.
    • To provide 2nd Level review over the status of Software Asset Management and generate exception reports/improvement recommendations to senior management.
    • Periodically participate in IT advisory reviews for adequacy of Core IT Processes such as;
    1. Technology Change Control Process,
    2. Business Continuity and Disaster recovery
    3. Backup & Recovery Processes,
    4. Cyber security
    5. Logical Access Management Processes,
    6. Incident and Problem Management processes and any other process as may be determined by Line Manager and produce management reports.
    • To develop Governance and Control Instruments covering new and Emerging areas of Technology including Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation.
    • To Monitor the status of IT Operational Checklists and Playbooks and support system administrators in mitigating gaps in the current instruments.
    • Facilitate co-operation with Internal and external auditors coordinating access and provision of information required.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field of study.
    • A certification in; COBIT, CGET, CISA, CISM, ITIL (at least one).
    • 4 years progressive experience in Information Technology with at least 2 years’ experience in one IT disciplines such as (IT Governance, IT Security, IT/IS Audit, IT/IS Risk).
    • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to breakdown complex items to actionable elements.
    • Ability to liaise with Stakeholders and subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization.
