    Manager IT Audits

    Brief Description        

    • Provide specialized skills required for Internal Auditto independently assess and evaluate the adequacy of IT controls. 
    • Champion various automation initiatives within InternalAudit.
    • Work with the other teams within Internal Audit toperform other audits.

    Detailed Description        

    • Participate in developing andimplementing the annual audit plan, supervise special audits and deliver onassigned ad hoc projects.
    • Manage and ensure execution of ITaudits and advisory assignments on IT systems focusing on general IT controlsand application controls, security reviews and others.
    • Coordinate all deliverables (such asIT reports, working papers) for assigned engagements including technical reviewof the audit scope, approach, and audit tests.
    • Prepare audit reports withfindings/observations and recommendations for review by the Head of InternalAudit, facilitate discussions with management on the way forward and promotetimely resolution of issues.
    • Coordinate the process of monitoringand reporting of implementation of agreed action plans from internal andexternal audit reviews across the business units.
    • Identify and document potential ITrisks and recommend appropriate mitigating measures to minimise the impact oncrystallizations of risks.
    • Participate in major IT initiativesand projects as well as in reviews of security systems and internal controlsunder development.
    • Support the implementation ofcontinuous audit and monitoring programs using technology and other moderntools and maintain good relationships with process owners/clients throughoutthe audit cycle.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to theteam while building and maintaining a high performing culture through coachingand mentorship.
    • Participate and manage the execution ofother audits as assigned.
    • Participate in the reporting of auditmatters to the senior management team and Audit & Risk Committee. This willentail preparation of reports and representing Internal Audit as required.
    • Undertake other Internal Audit administrativetasks as requested by the Head of Internal Audit.

    Job Requirements        

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Information Technology, Statistics, or a business-related field.
    • Certified Information SystemsAuditor (CISA).
    • Galvanize certification (desirable)
    • At least 5years’ relevant IT Audit/ Security experience, in a busy commercial environmentor professional firm.
    • At least 2years’ experience in advanced data analytics within diverse IT environment.
    • Experience of using a dataanalytics software e.g., ACL, CaseWare IDEA

    Station Officer - Kinshasa

    Brief Description        

    By delegation of authority and as the responsible officer at the station, overseethe day to day operations in consultation with the Station Manager whilst ensuring implementation of the station management system.

    Ensure that standards ofpunctuality and customer service are delivered in accordance with the companypolicies and procedures and in compliance with the regulatory authorities.

    Policies and Procedures:

    • Ensure compliance to all relevant policies,processes and procedures is achieved so that work is carried out in acontrolled and consistent manner.
    • Conduct internal audit/spot checks to ensurecompliance with safety and security procedures, service standards andrecommended practices.

     Safety, Quality & Environment:

    • Promote and maintain a positive safety culture, ahealthy, secure and cost-effective operation for Kenya Airways and ensurecompliance with the relevant industry/legislative requirements and companyprocedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
    • File and retain the flight plan to comply withlegal and company requirements to ensure aircraft operations safety (wherenecessary).
    • Identify and report hazards, near misses, incidentsand accident.

     Day to date Operations:

    • Monitor that standards of punctuality and customer service are deliveredby third parties as per contract and Service Level agreement and in accordancewith the company policies and procedures and relevant regulatory authorities.
    • Oversee efficient passenger handling at check in, boarding and arrivalsfor positive pleasant customer experience and ensure achievement of passengersatisfaction and comfort.
    • In the absence of the Station Manager, liaise with relevant authoritiesand ensure conformity with all regulatory requirements, organization standardsand local procedures and represent Kenya Airways at AOC meetings to addressairport facilitation issues.
    • Direct, monitor and control the departure process for on time departureof flights within the established safety and security procedures.
    • To foster and maintain good working relationship with other airlines andairport stakeholders to facilitate smooth Kenya Airways (KQ) operations.
    • Plan, brief, supervise and ensure efficient allocation of tasks andresponsibilities to staff for optimal shift performance.
    • Consult, communicate and disseminate information as appropriate topassengers, staff and third-party service providers to eliminate lapses inservice delivery/recovery.
    • Prepare and file all flight handling reports and other reports foreffective management of information
    • Deputize the station manager when he/she is out of Station/away fromduty.

    Central Baggage Tracing Controllers

    Brief Description        

    Responsible for overall baggage tracing and liaisonbetween Outstations Stations, GHAs and guests within the network.

    Detailed Description

    • Communicate to Station Managers, GHA’s,guests on delayed baggage status to increase the tracing speed and promptfeedback to guests.
    • Monitor the quality of tracing filesopened and closed (incl. RL – Reason for Loss, CS - Costs, FS – Fault Station).
    • Validate and ensure upfront FNE Paymentwithin the documented policy and guidelines.
    • Prepare the tracing, delivery and guestcontact report for Outstations.
    • Validate and monitor timely opening andclosure of baggage files in Outstations.
    • Track and confirm the baggage deliverystatus.
    • Monitor the Right now tool and ensuretimely closure on all incidents raised.
    • Timely response to all queries related toBaggage, both from passengers and other stations.
    • Enforce the baggage tracing standards inOutstation in line with company policy and documented procedure i.e.
    • PHM Appendix S – Daily Station BaggageChecklist
    • PHM Chapter 7.8 – Baggage Arrival.

    • Follow-up on the forwarding of delayedbags
    • Validate insurance costing and follow upwith stations to initiate insurance processes for not traced bags.
    • Monitor MSF and ensure correct entriesare captured.

    Job Requirements        

    • Minimum O level/ C Plain 
    • Relevant Diploma or Certificate in Airline Passenger Handling orcertificate in hospitality/service discipline
    • Minimum 3 months ofwork experience or exposure to Lost and Found section or Baggage ServicesDepartment, or passenger handling with an international airline or Ground HandlingAgent.
