    Brand Executive

    Job Purpose

    The job holder will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies for the specific product segment to build brand equity and drive revenue and increase market share.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    Area 1: Brand Management

    • In collaboration with the Brand Manager, develop and execute successful Annual Brand Plans as well as execute Activity Recommendations (ACRECS) aligned to the overall brand objectives. 
    • Constantly evaluate existing brand initiatives and recommend new or revised ideas/concepts aimed at growing the business of the respective category
    • Work with Brand Manager and agencies to develop appropriate/innovative Through the Line executions cycle activities to ensure the plans are brought to life in the outlet level.
    • Work alongside the Brand Manager in using Brand insights and Retail Audit information to assess and constantly evaluate the Health of the brands within respective categories

    Area 2: Marketing Campaigns Development & Execution Management  

    • Work with the Brand manager to execute marketing campaigns for the assigned market segment to enhance brand visibility and drive growth in sales.
    • Be involved in finding execution solutions in line with approved Brand plans; this include all appropriate ATL, BTL and Digital solutions that generate leads and facilitate the selling process while being consistent with the branding strategy.
    • Conduct Robust Measurement and Evaluation of ATL and BTL initiatives and recommend ways to improve effectiveness in future campaigns
    • Constantly go to Trade to evaluate first-hand the success of initiatives and course correct during the execution of the approved ideas/concepts.

    Area 3: Commercialization of New Product Development

    • Play a key role in Identifying, assessing and developing the marketing mix elements that will commercialize the innovation and renovation brands in the respective category

    Area 4: Marketing Resource Management

    • Follow up on LPOs and Invoices in line with A&P management for respective projects within the respective category
    • Ensure proper use of POS merchandise and Visibility deployment for respective projects within the respective category

    Minimum Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
    • Membership to a relevant professional body will be an added advantage. 
    • A least Two (2) years’ experience in Sales or Marketing or branding in a similar organization.

    Competencies/Attributes

    • Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems
    • A creative mind with a drive for execution of ideas and concepts for the benefit of the organisation.
    • An individual who looks to challenge the status quo 
    • Works with keen attention to detail whilst still sees the Big Picture.
    • Self-starter able to work well within the team environment.
    • A good planner with an ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment.
    • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
    • High level of integrity.

    Marketing Operations Manager

    Job Purpose

    The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of consumer & trade activities in line with the agreed cycle plan and marketing strategy. This role acts as an interface between the Brand and Sales team to ensure alignment in terms of defining and implementing brand and trade activities.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, drive the planning of the 12month rolling marketing cycle plan ensuring that the activities and allocated marketing spend are aligned to the marketing strategy.
    • Ensure that activities are implemented and evaluated on time as stipulated in the cycle plan to ensure that marketing objectives are achieved. Ensure all activities are in line with market regulation.
    • Working with the Brand team oversee the execution of sales and marketing materials including brochures, advertisements, sales tools, mobile applications, websites, value-added services, and social media programs that generate leads and facilitate the selling process while being consistent with the branding strategy
    • Provide appropriate support to the Sales team (NSM/ Trade Development Manager/ Territory sales Managers) to develop trade activities that are aligned to the delivery of business objectives.
    • Drive productivity through efficiency and effective use of allocated Marketing budgets through quality execution of cycle activities.
    • Develop with the brand team innovative ways of activating consumer touch points and trade point of sale touch points.
    • Proactively manage key external and internal stakeholders to drive delivery of cycle activities OTIF. Ensure effective communication of cycle activities across all key stakeholders. 
    • Support the head of department in managing the human capital in the section through day to day supervision, performance management, training needs assessment and overall staff motivation.

    Minimum Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
    • A least five (5) years’ experience in marketing operations/ marketing & sales in a similar organisation.
    • Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems.

    Competencies/Attributes

    • A creative mind with a drive for execution of ideas and concepts for the benefit of the organisation.
    • Developed project and event management skills.
    • Self-starter able to work well within the team environment.
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment.
    • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
    • High level of integrity.
