Roles & Responsibilities;

• Maintain accurate records of operational, mechanical, and electrical activities on packaging fillingmachines.
• Ensure effective Cleaning-in-Place (C.I.P.) and sterilization processes are conducted.
• Monitor and ensure smooth running of packaging filling machines to minimize leakages in pouches,packets, cups, and bottles.
• Record and monitor packaging material waste for each shift.
• Handle and store packaging materials hygienically at all times.
• Ensure accurate packaging of milk, yoghurt, and lala within the required quantity limits.
• Verify that packets, pouches, bottles, and cups are correctly coded with clear and legible dates.
• Maintain detailed activity logs for all assigned tasks.
• Comply with all occupational safety and health regulations.
• Adjust machines as needed during changeovers, for different functions, or to meet varying production requirements.
• Confirm that adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations.
• Report any machine malfunctions promptly to the immediate supervisor for appropriate action.
• Liaise with the Production Supervisor on the quantities of milk to be packed.
• Conduct routine quality checks on packaged products to ensure positive release.
• Ensure strict compliance with machine operation and maintenance safety practices.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• At least a Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering & Certificate in Dairy Technology.
• At least 2 years working in a manufacturing set-up with some experience in a Dairy processing plant will be an added advantage
• Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
• Able to work independently with little supervision

MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: –

• Assist the day to day operations of a team of Quality staffs to ensure compliance to company and national standards.
• To aid in continuously developing the sites quality systems to meet the requirements of our customers, the company and regulatory bodies.
• To undertake troubleshooting activities on products / factory areas.
• Aid in the development of QA standards and conducting inspections.
• Provide advice and guidance when quality standards fall and make decisions on disposal or rework as necessary. Conduct an investigation to obtain all details prior to approving concession.
• To be aware of any new / updated procedures and to ensure they are communicated to the relevant personnel.
• To ensure that the traceability of all products and components are accurately recorded and challenged.
• Work with operations, maintenance, and management to resolve quality concerns and implement best practices
• Lead quality improvement projects, conduct internal audits, and provide recommendations for efficiency.
• Ensure the HACCP, GMP, and FSSC 22000 systems are being followed throughout the site and personnel are well trained.
• To carry out any other mutually agreed duties outside the scope outlined above, as requested by the Quality Assurance Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Must have a Degree or diploma in Dairy Technology, Food science and Food Technology.
• Must have KCSE grade C+ and above;
• Excellent leadership, communication and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality control, GMP, HACCP.
• Attention to details.
• Should be a team player and be able to interact with other staff of all levels.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft office tools.
• Must have minimum 2 years’ work experience in a dairy industry working as a Quality Assurance or Control Supervisor or Officer

Job Purpose

• To ensure our products meet quality standards by inspecting, testing, and documenting findings.

Main Responsibilities

• Inspecting Materials & Products: Conduct routine inspections of incoming materials and inprocess production to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines;
• Testing: Perform functional/processing suitability testing on products and ingredients; and
• Documentation & Reporting: Meticulously record inspection results and non-conformances, creating reports that support quality audits, traceability, and corrective actions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology or Dairy Technology or Microbiology with at least one-year experience in quality control strongly preferred, OR
• A diploma in Food Science and Technology or Dairy Technology with at least 2 years’ experience in quality control strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills;
• Ability to thrive working collaboratively with senior colleagues, solve problems independently and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a strong work ethic, ability to work in teams and implement and test solutions.
• Knowledge of the HACCP approach or other management systems relevant to a food industry.

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and reliable production operations by translating production plans into daily execution.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure daily production targets are achieved within required timelines.
• Monitor and control milk intake, processing, and utilization to minimize losses.
• Supervise production of milk, and other dairy products.
• Ensure effective CIP, sterilization, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Supervise packaging and filling machines to minimize downtime and wastage.
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of packaging materials.
• Maintain production records, waste reports, and shift reports.
• Conduct routine quality checks before product release.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
• Report machine breakdowns and operational challenges for corrective action.
• Ensure availability of production materials and supplies.
• Participate in cost-control initiatives and resource optimization.
• Provide leadership and supervision to production teams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Production Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in dairy, food processing, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Knowledge of dairy processing operations, quality management and food safety.
• Experience with packaging/filling machines and production equipment.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP principles, and workplace safety standards.
• Computer proficiency; ERP experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage production shifts.
