    Fraud Monitoring Officer

    Job Purpose Statement

    The purpose of this role is fraud risk management through continuous prevention and detection plan. Conduct pro-active fraud risk monitoring through FRM solution’s transactions exception alerts/reports, dashboards reviews, validations as appropriate and mitigate fraud risks.

    Ideal Job Specifications
    Academic

    • Undergraduate degree – minimum 2nd class honours upper division added advantage for a person with the following disciplines: Data Science, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science or Criminal Justice.

    Professional

    • Proficiency in information technology is a must
    • Professional qualifications in Fraud Risk Management will be an added advantage
    • A creative approach to solving problems, attention to details, well organized and exhibit methodical approach to work
    • Excellent communication (oral/wring) and presentation skills
    • Ability to work under pressure, remain objective and ability to meet deadlines

    Desired Work Experience

    • Minimum 3 years of Data Analytics experience in financial industry, Contact Centre, funds transfer including system interrogative functions, information security controls, electronic payments or risk operations.

    Job Purpose Statement

    Academic

    Professional

    • Proficiency in information technology is a must

    • Appropriate training in the assigned information systems accompanying operating systems and environmental systems such as firewalls

    Manager, IT Retail Banking

    Job Purpose Statement

    The role supports IT Retail Banking strategic programs and ensures execution aligns with Group standards and the strategic vision. The role holder collaborates closely with the Head IT Retail Banking, Enterprise Projects Management team, and Retail Business teams to fulfill requirements related to strategic projects and initiatives leveraging technology. The role is responsible for effective follow-up and maintaining the book of works for IT Retail Initiatives, establishing a framework to ensure these initiatives are fulfilled and value is derived

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Financial 10%

    • Keep track of changes logged with respect to Retail Initiatives and ensure they are within budget.

    Retail Banking IT Initiatives Execution 65%

    • Partner with departments to become recognized as a trusted advisor, developing a deep understanding of each department’s business and technology requirements. Participate in defining product requirements using input from various sources, including market trends, technology innovations, industry standards, and customer research. Manage feature prioritization and trade-off decision-making in collaboration with other Technical Product Managers, business, and engineering teams, ensuring alignment of business goals with the incremental delivery of solutions. Manage Retail IT initiatives and CRs to ensure completion and handoff to Tech Operations. Provide guidance on risks associated with successful go-live to Retail IT strategic projects. Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders across NCBA group and its subsidiaries to ensure smooth execution of Retail IT initiatives. Use acquired skills to provide better ways of managing initiatives.

    Internal Business Processes 20%

    • 100% adherence to policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines. Audit, Compliance, and Risk Rating = Satisfactory. Audit issues closed within the quarter of identification or within the agreed time frames, whichever is shorter. Nil repeat findings. Policy and procedure knowledge – rating of Reading 100%; Test 90%. These are the minimum scores required to confirm (1) All assigned policies are ‘Read’; (2) Assigned policy or procedures tests are undertaken and the lowest acceptable score is 90%.

    Learning and Growth 5%

    • Undertake the necessary and mandated courses and learning hours. Keep up to date with current trends in the digital landscape.

    Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other related technology field.

    Professional:

    • IT and Projects certification from recognized institutions.

    Desired Work Experience:

    • At least 10 years of working experience in IT, 3 of which are in management, playing an active role in project success.
    • Proven and successful track record of solving business problems by collaborating, vendor engagements, and team cohesiveness with clear outcomes.

    Skills:

    • Strong leadership skills.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
    • Excellent communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills.
