    Welder/Fabricator

    JOB PURPOSE:

    Reporting to the Plant Technician, the job holder will be responsible for Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, bridge parts, and pressure vessels, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
    • Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
    • Cuts workpiece, using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.
    • Melts lead bar, wire, or scrap to add lead to joint or to extrude melted scrap into reusable form.
    • Installs or repairs equipment, such as lead pipes, valves, floors, and tank linings.
    • Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
    • Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
    • Removes rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
    • Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

    Academic Qualifications

    • KCSE C(Plain) and above

    Professional Qualification

    • Certificate in craft course or its equivalent.

    Experience

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in fabrication.

    Factory Electrician II (Motor Rewinder)

    OB PURPOSE:

    Reporting to Plant Technician, the job holder will be responsible for repair, maintenance and ensuring safety of the electrical machinery and equipment and rewinding motors in the factory.

     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Adhere to and Implement policies and strategies on factory machinery and equipment.
    • Rewinding motors
    • Develop Maintenance and servicing schedules for all electrical machinery and equipment
    • Report any damages and replacement immediately
    • Ensure timely Inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, and service
    • Proper record keeping of all factory electrical machinery, equipment
    • Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
    • Ensure adherence to Health safety and environment regulations
    • Ensure provision of Safe working conditions within the factory and eliminate hazards and risks.

    Motor Vehicle Mechanic II

    B PURPOSE

    Reporting to Green Leaf Coordinator, the job holder will be responsible for effective and efficient maintenance of motor vehicle and equipment in order to meet set targets

     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensuring maintenance and repairs of equipment and transport facilities as per set quality standards and specifications.
    • Carrying out comparative estimate cost of repairs and maintenance of motor vehicle and equipment.
    • Ensuring timely implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
    • Ensuring that the cost of repairs is maintained within approved levels.

    Assistant Accountant II

    B PURPOSE:

    Reporting to the Accountant, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring effective accounting of receipts and cash transactions as per approved policies, procedures and control systems in the Factory.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare timely and accurate reports.
    • Timely and accurate receipting of cash and cheques from clients.
