    Consultant General Surgeon

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a university recognized by CUE
    • Master’s degree in General Surgery from a university recognized by CUE
    • Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council
    • Valid Specialist Recognition by KMPDC
    • Valid and current Indemnity Cover
    • At least 3 Years Post Master’s degree

    Responsibilities:

    • Clinical work in the Department of Surgery
    • Lead the department in service provision, customer care and experience, business growth and stakeholder management.
    • Train and mentor medical officers/ staff attached to the department

    Head of Clinical Services

     Qualifications and desired skills:

    • Medical Doctor. Post graduate training an advantage.
    • Training in healthcare management/business administration.
    • Experience in a similar role for at least 4 years
    • Very good communication skills
    • Flexible and willing to adjust to the demands of the job

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategic and Business plan – Facilitate the implementation of the hospital strategic and business plans in clinical services.
    • Clinical Governance – Offering leadership in all clinical and support departments, working with multi-disciplinary teams. Ensure clinical SOPs, guidelines and pathway are developed, implemented, monitored and revised as necessary.
    • Stakeholder Management – Positively engaging all relevant stakeholders in order to maximize value for the hospital.
    • Human Resource Management – Ensuring adequate staffing in the relevant departments through planning, recruitment, performance management, leave management and staff relations.
    • Business Development and Operations – Growth of business in scope and volume to ensure new services introduced within agreed timelines and budgets are met and exceeded.
    • Patient Quality Agenda – Clinical quality processes in line with the goals and objectives of the hospital drive continuous clinical improvement.
    • Professional Development – Continuous Medical Education and other relevant learning programs.
    • Client Experience – Addressing relevant customer complaints and escalating in a timely manner to ensure improved customer satisfaction.
    • Budgets – Supporting the annual budget cycle in relevant departments for equipment and other operational needs.
    • Licenses and Regulation – Ensure all clinical staff and the institution have valid licenses.
    • Reporting – Prepare timely and quality reports as required by the CEO and Board of directors.

    Telephone Operator

    Job Purpose

    To ensure smooth, efficient and seamless operations at the hospital call Centre through call handling for internal and external calls via the hospital switchboard. This role is key in facilitation of communication within the institution and therefore critical in daily operations of the hospital.

    Main duties and responsibilities: –

    • Answering all calls that come into the switchboard by picking calls that go through the switchboard within 3 rings.
    • Responsible for efficient and smooth call handling at hospital call Centre through the switchboard, including both internal and external calls.
    • Handling customer complaints coming through the switchboard, by listening to patient complaints, knowing the nature of the complaint, forwarding it to the relevant parties for resolution and finalizing with a follow up with the client.
    • Responsible documentation and reporting of switchboard activities by preparing weekly report for submission to head of department.
    • Responding to caller inquiries regarding hospital products and services by providing correct information.
    • Maintaining a high level of telephone etiquette through timely, courteous and professional call handling at the switchboard.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

    • Diploma in Secretarial studies
    • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.

    • Ability to work responsibly under pressure and with minimal supervision
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Good listening skills
    • Quick decision making capabilities
