    Pre-school Teachers

    • Our client a growing school based in Kajiado is looking for Pre-school teachers to join their team. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and facilitate age appropriate play-based activities that support social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
    • Introduce early concepts in language, numeracy, art, music and movement through engaging, hands-on experiences.
    • Observe and monitors, children\'s progress, behaviour, and development, and maintain accurate records.
    • Support children in developing independence skills such as feeding, toileting, dressing and cleaning up.
    • Manage classroom routines including arrival, snack time, outdoor play, rest time and home time.
    • Encourage positive social interactions, sharing, and good manners among learners
    • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the classroom and play materials
    • Identify any learning behavioural, or emotional concerns early and communicate with the school administration and parents
    • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure smooth transitions and consistent care.
    • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions

    Key Qualifications

    • Diploma in Early Childhood Development or equivalent
    • Must be TSC registered
    • At least 3 years working experience in preschool (PG, PP1, PP2)
    • Strong understanding of early childhood development stages
    • Demonstrate good material making and handwriting skills
    • Excellent communication with children, parents and colleagues
    • Good class management and organization skills
    • Creative use of songs, stories, art and play materials

    Deputy Head Teacher

    The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Teacher in providing strategic leadership and ensuring high standards of academic excellence, discipline, and quality assurance across the school.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead the implementation, monitoring, and delivery of all academic programs
    • Oversee curriculum delivery to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes. 
    • Supervise lesson planning, assessment, and academic reporting processes. 
    • Monitor learners’ academic progress and coordinate intervention strategies for improved performance. 
    • Lead and enforce discipline systems for both learners and staff in line with school policies. 
    • Promote a positive school culture that supports high standards of behaviour, professionalism, and accountability. 
    • Conduct classroom observations and support continuous improvement of teaching practice. 
    • Coordinate internal quality assurance processes to ensure education standards are maintained. 
    • Support the Head Teacher in day-to-day school management and administration. 
    • Assist in staff supervision, performance management, and professional development initiatives. 
    • Support communication and engagement with parents and other stakeholders on academic and discipline matters. 
    • Act on behalf of the Head Teacher when delegated
    • Supervise and support teaching staff through mentorship, coaching, and performance monitoring.

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognized institution with a Primary Teacher Education Certificate (PTE)
    • Registered with Teachers Service Commission (where applicable). 
    • Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. 
    • Demonstrated experience in academic leadership, discipline management, and school administration. 
    • Strong understanding of curriculum implementation and educational quality standards.
    • Pro-active and committed individual who can work with minimum supervision
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft packages
    • Registration with Teacher Service Commission (TSC).
    • Strong understanding of the Kenya Competency-Based Education (CBE) and school academic structures.
