    Intern, Administration

    Ref: KNBS/IA/6/2022

    No. of Positions: 1

    Terms of Service: Temporary (12 months)

    Job Purpose: An Intern at this level will work under a senior officer who will be appointed as a Supervisor to guide him /her in the performance of duties in the area of Administration.

    Duties and Responsibilities;

    1. Participating in ensuring general cleanliness in offices is undertaken;
    2. Participating in the transport services;
    3. Participating in the facilitation of logistics for meetings, conferences and other special events;
    4. Participating in ensuring general maintenance of buildings and furniture is  undertaken;
    5. Participating in planning occupational health and safety activities; and
    6. Participating in generating administrative reports on repairs and maintenance;
    7. Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

     Requirements for Appointment

    1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in the following disciplines; Public Administration; Business Administration; Sociology; Business Management or related qualifications from a recognized institution.

    Additional information for applicants:

    • Should not be engaged in another organization;
    • Must be computer literate;
    • Must be available full time for the twelve months’ duration of the program;
    • Should possess interpersonal, analytical and communication skills;
    • Must be goal oriented and dynamic;
    • Take note that the monthly stipend for Interns is Kshs. 25,000 and statutory deductions will apply.

    Intern, Supply Chain Management

    Ref: KNBS/ISCM/5/2022

    No. of Positions: 1

    Terms of Service: Temporary (12 months

    Job Purpose: An Intern at this level will work under a senior officer who will be appointed as a Supervisor to guide him /her in the performance of duties in the area of Supply Chain Management.

    Duties and Responsibilities;

    1. Participating in the implementation of the procurement plan;
    2. Participating in the Preparation of Request for Quotation documents, tender documents and contract documents;
    3. Participating in secretariat services in the Supply Chain Management Committees;
    4. Participating in preparation of Tender close and opening minutes, evaluation reports and analysis of Request for Quotation (RFQs);
    5. Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in Procurement ;Supply Chain Management; Purchasing; Procurement and Logistics Management or related qualifications from a recognized institution;
    3. Membership to Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) will be an added advantage.

    Intern, Corporate Communications

    No. of Positions: 1

    Terms of Service: Temporary (12 months)

    Job Purpose: An Intern at this level will work under a senior officer who will be appointed as a Supervisor to guide him /her in the performance of duties in the area of Corporate Communications.

    Duties and Responsibilities: -

    1. Participating in scheduling interviews with the media and other stakeholders;
    2. Participating in initiating and organizing events;
    3. Participating in organizing open days and exhibiting Bureau products and services;
    4. Participating in exhibiting Bureau products and services;
    5. Participating in developing publicity materials;
    6. Participating in photographing topical events
    7. Working closely with the Mentor, Supervisor and colleagues to implement programmes and activities of the Directorate;
    8. Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in Corporate Communications; Mass Communication; Journalism; Public Relations or related qualifications from a recognized institution

    Intern, Finance and Accounts

    No. of Positions: 1

    Terms of Service: Temporary (12 months)

    Job Purpose:

    An Intern at this level will work under a senior officer who will be appointed as a Supervisor to guide him /her in the performance of duties in the area of Finance and Accounts.

    Duties and Responsibilities: -

    1. Participating in verifying vouchers and committal documents;
    2. Participating in receiving and registering processed payments and receipt vouchers;
    3. Participating in posting payments and receipt vouchers in the cash books;
    4. Participating in raising requisitions for cash reimbursement;
    5. Participating in recording payment receipts;
    6. Participating in updating and maintaining accounting information;
    7. Participating in controlling and maintaining staff Imprests and advances records;
    8. Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option); Business Administration (Accounting option) or related qualifications from a recognized institution;
    3. A pass in Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) or Part II of ACCA Examination or any other related qualifications from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

    Intern, Human Resource Management

    No. of Positions: 1

    Terms of Service: Temporary (12 months)

    Job Purpose: An Intern at this level will work under a senior officer who will be appointed as a Supervisor to guide him /her in the performance of duties in the area of Human Resource Management.
    Duties and Responsibilities: -

    1. Participating in processing applications for employment and transfers;
    2. Participating in administering employee welfare programs;
    3. Participating in processing of the retirement benefits, medical claims, Group Personal Accidents and Group Life schemes;
    4. Participating in the processing of leave applications;
    5. Participating in verifying and updating staff complement and establishment;
    6. Participating in updating staff skills inventory;
    7. Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related qualifications from a recognized institution;
    3. A Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities;

    • Drawing survey questionnaires and setting up control procedures for receiving returns and taking the necessary action;
    • Collection, collation, entry and analysis of data;
    • Writing and submitting reports on specific assignments; and,
    • Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

    Requirements for appointment

    1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in Statistics/Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related qualifications from a recognized institution;
    3. Proficiency in data analysis using statistical packages e.g. SPSS, Stata, MSExcel, Fox Pro, CS Pro or related qualifications will be an added advantage.
