    Assistant Internal Auditor

    • This position is responsible for conducting routine audits and assist on investigations as per the approved internal audit work plans in order to evaluate effectiveness of internal controls in various department and sections in the institutions.

    Qualifications

    • Be a Kenyan citizen;
    • Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Finance /Accounting or related field) from a recognized institution
    • CPA II (Levels 3 & 4)
    • And any other relevant professional qualification for the job
    • Certificate of Good conduct
    • KRA Compliance certificate
    • CRB clearance certificate
    • 45 years and below
    • Minimum of three (3) years working experience

    Specific duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

    • Ensuring Internal Control Systems are in sound operation and reporting on any detected weakness.
    • Undertaking specific audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observations and reports as required.
    • Ensuring that the County Government assets, plant and equipment/supplies, stores etc. are appropriately recorded in relevant registers are maintained and kept.
    • Reporting of financial information to users of financial reports and application of
    • accounting policies and financial management.
    • Establishing internal financial management control system.
    • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards and best practice guidelines.
    • Facilitating communication between the Group Members and the internal and external auditors.
    • Facilitating the maintenance of the independence of the external auditor.
    • Providing a structured reporting line for internal audit and facilitating the independence of the internal auditor.
    • Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Institute Cateress

    Purpose of the Job

    • This job is responsible for overall, management of catering services and ensure compliance to occupational objectives, safety and environmental control.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the organization, planning and management of catering and production services
    • Supervise and allocate work to staff in the catering service department through preparation of duty roster.
    • Advice the Human Resource unit on promotion of kitchen staff through performance appraisal.
    • Develop menu and create recipe for different meals in liaison with the head cook
    • Ensure production and serving of quality food as scheduled in the Institution.
    • Direct the daily operation of the food and catering service staff through coordination and training to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Keep and maintain catering service inventory and ensure timely replenishment to avoid delays in provision of meals and refreshment.
    • Responsible for preparation of regular medical check-up plan for kitchen staff.
    • Ensure that food preparation areas, cooking surface and utensils are clean.
    • Ensure meals served to students and staff are of good quality and quantity.
    • Inspect food and other material received at the kitchen to ensure they are of right quality and quantity.

    Qualifications

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen
    • Minimum of Diploma in Food and Beverage, sales and services or Diploma in Catering and Accommodation or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate of good conduct.
    • CRB clearance certificate.
    • Computer literacy.
    • 45 years and below.
    • Three (3) years minimum working experience.

    Principal’s Secretary

    Purpose of the Job

    This position is responsible for the provision of efficient office support and administrative assistance to the principal.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain the diary and appointments/meeting for the Principal to ensure appointments are well planned and timely
    • Organize administration records and correspondence to ensure quick access to required information/documents
    • Ensure the availability of well-managed office services including cleaning and tidying office to ensure a conducive working environment.
    • Maintain an efficient smooth and easily accessible filing system to ensure the security of information and to limit access to unauthorised persons.
    • Receive telephone calls to ensure calls are transferred to respective office.
    • Maintain security and confidentiality of office records, documents and equipment.
    • Manage office protocol and receive incoming calls, and correspondences and act as the link between principals’ offices, to ensure efficient response time to enquiries.
    • Receive visitors and clients in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the Principal/Deputy office.
    • Undertake correspondence for the Principal as requested and as appropriate.
    • Maintain an inventory of office equipment and supplies for the Principal and Deputy Principal offices.
    • Prepare for committee meeting such as the BOG meetings

    Qualifications

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen
    • Minimum of Diploma in Secretarial studies or
    • Shorthand III, Computerized Document processing III, Business English III, Office practice II, Commerce II, and Secretarial Duties II or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate of good conduct.
    • CRB clearance certificate.
    • 45 Years and below.
    • Three (3) years minimum working experience.
