    Purpose of the position:

    Reporting to the Fleet Administrator, the driver will be required to have the overall responsibility of offering both administrative and logistic support to the AMAYA Project and help in achieving set target and objectives. Specifically, the diver will be required to:

    Drivers Responsibilities:

    • Provide logistical support to all conservancy activities such as wildlife conservation, livestock programs, security operation and other community development programs.
    • Driving team members to and from their activities as assigned.
    • Ensuring proper maintenance of vehicles and tools assigned to them.
    • Ensuring safety of passengers/property in the vehicle.
    • Ensuring valid road licenses are in place.
    • Have thorough understanding of motor vehicles engine functionality.
    • The driver should be competent at checking the vehicle for problems and performing pre/post journey maintenance task.
    •  Ensure full compliance to the traffic laws, regulations, and code.
    • Promoting positive corporate image of the Trust.
    • Proper recording of mileage booklet.
    • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the NRT management.

    Drivers Requirements:

    • Holder of a “BCED” class with PSV certificate.
    • Possess over five years post training experience.
    • Holder of a KCSE D+ or O–Level certificate.
    • Have excellent communication skills.
    • Physically fit and emotionally resilient
    • Willing to work longer hours and in remote areas of operation
    • Honest, team player and one who enjoys community work.
    • Mechanics training will be an added advantage.

    Communications Officer

    Purpose of the position:

    NRT Trading is looking for an experienced and passionate communications professional able to lead the development and implementation of a communication strategy in close collaboration with our donors (USAID and The Nature Conservancy), community conservancies and NRT partners.

    The job holder will report to CEO of NRT Trading. S/he will be responsible for working with the CEO to create a communications strategy for a potential USAID–funded project and oversee the implementation over a 3–year time period. In addition, the communications officer will collaborate with a digital design agency to launch the NRT Trading website and assist NRT Trading businesses and programs with their external and internal communication, including fact sheets and presentations, donor reports, video and social media content.

    S/he will be required to travel from the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy HQ to the community conservancies regularly, liaising with county coordinators, programme leads and community conservancy managers to conduct field reporting, or provide event support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Collaborate to design the communications strategy for a USAID project, and subsequent implementation.
    2. Launch website and update it periodically.
    3. Develop external and internal communication, including fact sheets and presentations, video, print and social media content for NRT Trading businesses and programs. Collaborate with the team to finalize donor reports.
    4. Project manage film making with agencies.
    5. Develop branding designs and materials.

    Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 2 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Experience writing, editing, and proofreading printed or online content for diverse audiences.
    3. Experience using social media as a professional communication tool.
    4. Experience working in Africa and communicating with African audiences.
    5. Fluency in English and Swahili required, both verbal and written.

    The successful candidate will be based in NRT Trading HQ within Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Isiolo, Meru and Nanyuki are the nearest majors towns.

    Data Analyst – Earth Ranger System

    Purpose of the position:

    Reporting to the Senior GIS and Earth Ranger Platform Officer and with a close working relationship with all other departments, the main deliverables of this position will be performing data analysis, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues on Earth Ranger (ER) Platform.

    Data Analyst Responsibilities:

    1.  Managing ER data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
    2. Work closely with HODs by providing necessary reports and maps from ER and other platforms
    3. Managing Earth Ranger platform users and user roles.
    4. Provide quality assurance of imported data.
    5. Commissioning and decommissioning of ER data sets.
    6. Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
    7. Create ER Templates, data entry and develop reports from ER and Tableau Platform.
    8. Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
    9. Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
    10. Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
    11. Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
    12. Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
    13. Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
    14. Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleaning.

    Data Analyst Requirements:

    1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in statistics, data science or equivalent.
    2. At least 3 years’ experience working on project data analysis and information management, and monitoring.
    3. Skilled in at least one of the data analysis tools; preferably Tableau, Power BI, Semantic Al, Qilk, Data Analysis using Python.
    4.  Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
    5. High–level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large–scale databases.
    6. Good report writing skill.
    7. High–level written and verbal communication skills.
    8. Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Email.
    9. Data–oriented personality with a keen eye for detail, data analysis and presentation.
    10. Experience in SQL and ACCESS databases, GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and ability to create reports with effective visualization and communication will be an added advantage.
    11. Demonstrated ability to work with local communities and diverse teams.
    12. Good Command of English and Kiswahili.
