    Marketing and Liaison Officer

    Main Purpose: Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the organizations marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities, both internal and external with our partners e.g. insurance provider.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the organizations image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications.
    • Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing /communications /public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
    • Work with the organizational leadership to create marketing programs that showcase the organizations strengths and reaches target audiences.
    • Take the lead in developing opportunities for the organization with trade and other media to positively influence the organizations reputation. This includes attending public relation events and trade shows.
    • Responsible for all organizational marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations and press release.
    • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all organization publications.
    • Ensure that the organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor trends.
    • Provide hands on support to the leadership team for new business pitches, assisting with areas from ideation to presentation development
    • Coordinate the appearance of all organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, flyers etc.
    • Coordinate media interest in the organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
    • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedure necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing /communications/public relations functions.
    • Play a liaison link between the hospital and client both internally and externally

    Job Requirements

    • Degree/Diploma in Marketing from a recognized institution
    • Prior experience in marketing for over 2 years
    • Ability to develop and implement strategies.
    • Minimum of two year relevant experience
    • Ability to multitask
    • Transparent and honest

    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    General Description: Reporting to the Administrator, the successful candidate will help in running the day to day operations of the Pharmacy in line with the professional practice, regulations and laws of the land. To provide comprehensive pharmaceutical service to patients and other customers as requested.

    Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

    • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
    • Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals.
    • Control medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
    • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counselling patients on drug therapies.
    • Develop hospital staff’s pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs; training pharmacy staff, interns, and nurses.
    • Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols
    • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    Job Requirements

    • Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
    • At least 2 years of experience
    • Registration and licensed with the Pharmacy and Poison Board.
    • Minimum of one year relevant experience
    • Customer friendly.

    Nursing Officer

    General Description: To provide comprehensive medical and nursing services to all patients in order to assist them regain good health. To promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team.

    Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not limited to

    • Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
    • Maintains nursing guidelines by following the laid down Standard Nursing Policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to duty Rosters and Patient Allocation; Assess, Plan and implement nursing care using the Nursing process framework.
    • Maintain the nursing ethos as prescribed in the Nurses’ Act Cap 257 of the Laws of Kenya and the Hospital regulations.
    • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
    • Maintain a therapeutic environment with other health and non-health professionals to uplift multi-disciplinary team spirit.
    • Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching and counseling patient, friends, and family and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.
    • Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests raised by clients.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by following the stipulated nursing guidelines.
    • Protects self, patients and employees by strictly adhering to Infection Control Measures.
    • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
    • Maintains documentation of patient care services by diligently and faithfully filling all necessary patient documentation.
    • Achieves financial objectives by utilizing available resources, using medical equipment correctly and billing promptly services offered.
    • Update inventories daily and ensure emergency equipment are updated on a daily basis.

    Job Requirements

    • A Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
    • Computer literate.
    • Clinical Skills, customer care, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Administering Medication, Medical Teamwork, Health Promotion and Maintenance
    • Registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya.

    Office Assistant / Cleaner

    General Description: Responsible for the general cleaning of the hospital to ensure a hygienic environment within the facility.

    Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

    • Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
    • Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
    • Dusting, damp wiping, washing or polishing the furniture, ledges, window sills and external surfaces of cupboards, shelves and fittings.
    • Washing and replacing of curtains.
    • Fumigation of the offices when required.
    • Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required.
    • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment (if any), in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
    • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
    • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
    • Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers.
    • Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments.
    • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, printing etc.
    • Retrieve information from files when needed
    • Responding to inquiries/complaints/issue’s effectively and in a timely manner
    • Prepares & types general correspondences, reports, memos etc.

    Job Requirements

    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office packages
    • At least have a KCSE Certificate with a minimum of D+
    • Good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
    • At least one year working experience in a similar position

    Clinical Officer

    General Description: Attending to clients both on clinical matters like diagnosis amongst others

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Attend to the outpatients in the O.P Department, Wards and Casualty as the case may be and prescribe necessary medicines as available in stock and the required investigations.
    • Whenever necessary, with the approval of Director of Clinical Services, carry out investigations and prescribe non-stock drugs.
    • Issue Medical Certificate for sickness or fitness to join duty as per prescribed procedure.
    • Assist Director of Clinical Services whenever called upon to do so for any patient or hospital related work.
    • Attend to work with punctuality and dedication and not give room for any complaint from the patients.
    • Report non-attendance, late attendance or any other misconduct of the Staff working in his/her area to the immediate superior officer.
    • Mentorship and supervision of clinical interns.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and clients.
    • Ensure that duties and functions are undertaken in a manner that prioritizes the safety and well-being of patients.
    • Represent the department /profession/team at meetings and conferences as appropriate.
    • Seek advice and assistance from the consultant/clinical director/employer with any assigned cases or issues that prove to be beyond the scope and professional competence in line with principles of best practice and clinical governance.

    Job Requirements

    • Diploma in Medicine and surgery.
    • Registered by clinical officers’ council.
    • At least 2 years’ experience.
    • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
    • Ability to plan and deliver care in an effective and resourceful manner.
    • Computer literate.
