    Human Resource Business Partner

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with Heads of Department and Line Managers to understand operational priorities and translate them into people strategies.
    • Provide HR advisory support on workforce planning, organization design, structural changes, and business decision-making.
    • Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, contracts management, performance management, talent mapping, and staff exit processes.
    • Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, industrial relations, union engagements, and labour office matters.
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives and forums, recognition programmes, wellness campaigns, and improvement actions from engagement survey data.
    • Utilize HR dashboards and people data to monitor KPIs, diagnose workforce issues, and support business performance improvement.
    • Support change management, communication, continuous improvement projects, and integration of HR functional solutions across the business.
    • Build strong working relationships with BU Heads, HODs, Line Managers, Supervisors, and shop-floor employees.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • CHRP-K qualification will be an added advantage.
    • Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
    • Minimum of 6 years’ general work experience, with at least 3 years’ specific HRBP-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRMIS / SAGE People or an equivalent ERP/HR system.
    • Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

    • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proven change management and conflict resolution capability.
    • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, including the Labour Relations Act, Employment Act, and WIBA.
    • High emotional intelligence, integrity, confidentiality, resilience, and sound judgment.

    Graduate Trainee

    Background and Scope:

    As a Project and Technical Sales Graduate Trainee, the program is a structured entry level role into sales, designed to develop future sales leaders through hands-on experience, mentorship, job shadowing and training.  The position works under close supervision hence discretion is exercised in seeking learning opportunities within host departments and functions in the company, based on the trainee's learning objectives. Though generally it has wide organization training and learning, the role narrows down to specific functions in Project and Technical sales with clear deliverables related to the role.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Working across different departments to understand overall business operations as per the management training log.
    • Demonstrate keen interest in learning by completing all assignments on time and as per the quality standards required by the assignment terms.
    • Conducting research, preparing reports, and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
    • Assisting with daily tasks, such as reporting, data management, and customer inquiries.
    • Participating in training sessions, mentorship programs, job shadowing and workshops to acquire technical and soft skills.
    • Analyzing existing systems and offering new ideas for improvement.
    • Complete the training rotation within the approved time-lines.
    • Manage proactive relations with the coach and mentor and constantly seeking feedback on trainee performance requirements.
    • Demonstrate keen interest and competency through training and learning for the desired role 
    • Complete projects as per the trainee project terms of reference.

    Requirements

    Who We Are Looking For

    • University graduates in BSc. Civil Engineering with up to 2 years' post-university experience.
    • At least B+ and Above in KCSE
    • 28 years of age or below.
    • Strong academic record.
    • Demonstrated leadership potential and excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to comprehend operational practices based on theories and models.
    • Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
