• Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs.
• Testing and evaluating new software programs.
• Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
• Writing and implementing efficient, clean and scalable code.
• Determining operational practicality of software development proposal.
• Developing quality assurance procedures and policies
• Deploying software tools, processes and metrics.
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems and software programs.
• Creating technical documents and training staff.
• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts.
• Analyze user data to identify trends and requirements for future updates.
• Verifying, testing and deploying software systems.
• Explain the implementation of programs or related projects to other programmers, non technical personnel and users.

Education

Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

• Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution
• Masters’ degree in Software Engineering will be an advantage.
• 4+ years’ hands on experience in busy software development environment.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Java, Springboot java, React.js, Typescript and PHP and other common computer programming languages, applications and API environments.
• Knowledge of software systems and frameworks including AnglularJS, Devops, GitHub, and .NET.
• Familiarity with Agile development technologies.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in front-end and back-end development frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Managing and configuring database server and data backups.
• Assisting in managing and servicing Computer Hardware, Printers, Copiers, Network devices, power systems and other electronic equipment.
• Analyzing, designing, coding, testing, implementing computer programs within the hospital
• Repairing and maintaining of Information Communication Technology, equipment and associated peripherals.
• Receiving, installing and certifying of communication technology equipment.
• Configuring of new Information Communication Technology equipment.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of computer equipment including computer terminals, printers, modems, personal computers and data communications equipment.
• Participating in departmental meetings.
• Preparing and submitting monthly or quarterly reports.
• Testing equipment using diagnostic and application software before releasing to users. Make routine repairs and adjustments and report malfunctions.
• Providing user support and maintaining support systems as per the hospitals quality standards.
• Inducting, supervising, training interns in the ICT Department.
• Participating in the development of departmental work plan and budget based on the hospital strategic plan.

Education

Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

• Bachelors in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering/ Electronics or any other ICT related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Proven proficiency in Creation of site layout/user interface from provided design concepts by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT.
• Experience in server operating system preferably windows server.
• Experience in database servers preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience in network design and setup.
• Experience in configuration and management of network devices e.g routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Initiative, Innovative, attentive to details
• Ability to set up and administer a network including firewalls
• Ability to install and support stand-a-lone PCs, networked printers and photocopiers
• Ability to negotiate hardware and software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
