    ICT Security Analyst

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strategic understanding of the security landscape who is able to enforce policies across security solutions by fine tuning security policies.

    This is a high visibility role which forms a critical part in monitoring network activities and reporting on any security related anomalies. This role will also assist in ICT related security investigations. It provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s ICT Security and Risk environment and exposure to many business areas.     Reporting to Head - ICT Security, the role holder will work collaboratively with the IT Security operations, ICT and Security Services teams to detect and respond to information security incidents, maintain and follow procedures for security event alerting and participate in ICT related security investigations.

    The Role

    Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

    • Monitor and analyze the Bank’s networks for malicious activity using Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) toolsets. This will include responding to and investigating alerts, assisting with developing new security monitoring use cases and ensuring all investigative activity is properly documented in the bank’s ticketing systems and followed up with relevant support teams.
    • Document all activities during an incident and providing leadership with status updates during the life cycle of the incident.
    • Provide analysis regarding intrusion events, security incidents, and other threat indications and warning information from various outside agencies.
    • Investigate intrusion attempts and perform in-depth analysis of exploits as well as providing network intrusion detection expertise to support timely and effective decision making of when to declare an incident.
    • Analyze a variety of network and host-based security appliance logs (Firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, Sys Logs, etc.) to determine the corrective or mitigation actions and escalation paths for each incident.
    • Conduct digital forensics and malware analysis triage and independently follow procedures to contain, analyze, and eradicate malicious activity.
    • Monitor open source intelligence sources for potential threats against the Bank, and ensure appropriate defensive actions are taken with respect to these.
    • Run vulnerability scans against Bank’s infrastructure, interpreting them and follow up with relevant ICT support teams.
    • Triage issues and escalate them to the ICT respective team, and ensure that appropriate follow-up actions are taken by the IT security function.

    Skills, Competencies & Experience

    The successful candidate will be required to have the following skills and competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field with relevant IT Security professional qualifications i.e. CISSP, CISA/CISM/CEH or other relevant security certifications.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Security/Network administration with strong technical knowledge of database, network and operating systems security.
    • Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes and technical security solutions (firewall and intrusion detection systems).
    • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
    • Working knowledge and experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
    • Knowledge of common cybersecurity threats and sources of cybersecurity information.
    • Good understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing.

    If you are an IT professional who understands and applies knowledge of the services function, business unit, brand, large country or regional objectives in designing and implementing IT solutions, then come join our growing ICT team as an Enterprise Architect.

    Your primary role is to ensure that respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the Banks’s digital transformation Enterprise Architecture Framework, technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. You will also interpret, use and apply information contained within ICT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the innovation, design, development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of ICT systems to meet current and anticipate changing customer needs. 

    The Role

    The successful jobholder will be expected to: 

    • Responsible for the development and implementation of Digital Enterprise Architecture Framework that aligns new and existing processes and systems for data driven innovative digital products and services critical to retaining and attracting customers in an increasing competitive market. 
    • Develop and implement an orchestration layer to handle all client and partner related processes and information, that orchestrates between the customer layer, the back –end (core systems) and partner ecosystems (Telcos, FinTechs, B2B integration, API management and Open Banking); customer and employee engagement layer – Omni-Channel, customer facing platforms – mobile, internet, branch and self-service. 
    • Review the architecture of key systems on a need basis to ensure they have capacity to handle business transactions growth
    • Recommend and participate in the analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the Enterprise Architecture objectives are consistent with the Banks’s long-term business objectives. 
    • Design and develop complex high quality enterprise and solution architectures in response to varying organizational requirements. 
    • Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture/ICT architecture. 
    • Recommend and participate in the development of architecture blueprints and roadmaps for related systems. 
    • Share best practices, lessons learned and constantly update the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and up-coming vendor products and solutions. 
    • Collaborate with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with the Enterprise Architecture. Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level. 
    • Ensure that the overall ICT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. 
    • Utilize in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business skills to influence functional strategy. 
    • Utilize high level analytical ability and creativity to analyze complex/new situations, anticipate potential problems and future trends, assess opportunities, impacts and risks while developing and implementing plans and solution deliverables to customer problems. 
    • Provides guidance to team members (Project managers, Architects, Developers, and other IT Specialists, among others) in area of new and complex implementation and/or management tools and techniques. 
    • Ensure architectural documentation relating to current implementations, prototyping, performance testing and providing growth and scalability plans for the system, provide production Support as well as design and deployment of advanced collaboration platforms within an Enterprise soft skills. 
    • Ensure knowledge management, this will involve participating in, and/or being responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection, and reuse Co-operative Bank’s intellectual capital. This will also include actively participating in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges. 

    Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

    • Bachelor's (Master’s preferred) Degree in an IT, engineering or related discipline. 
    • Expert knowledge across multiple Platforms, Processes and IT Architecture. 
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Technology infrastructure design and planning. 
    • At least 5 years’ experience in development / architectural design of systems using key development tools and frameworks (java, .net, php, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, bootstrap, jQuery, Docker, Containers etc.). 
    • TOGAF certification will be an added advantage.
    • Demonstrated experience in working with or leading a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Microservices Architecture (MSA) integration environment, migration and Agile delivery framework. 
    • Strong background in understanding organizational resources, priorities, needs and policies, and use of the same in developing ICT strategies and solutions. 
    • Analytical with good project management and team leadership skills. 
    • Excellent Presentation, communication and negotiation skills. 
    • Knowledge in the use of notable industry tools.

    Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

    We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to build their career within our IT Department as a Business Intelligence Developer, responsible for the design, development, and documentation of database solutions. This position requires the ability to complete complex development efforts using an agile development methodology.

    Reporting to Head – Business Intelligence Unit, the developer will be responsible for detailed analysis, design and development of business intelligence systems, dashboards and reports. Additionally, he/she will be required to maintain and support applications within this section and will therefore be required to have knowledge working within the agile methodology keeping in mind quality control plans within the developments to identify improvements.

    The Role

    The successful jobholder will be expected to:

    • Develop and implement Business intelligence reports, dashboards and other solutions that ensure business optimization and requirements fulfillment.
    • Analyze business/use case requirements from BI analysts to determine operational problems, define data modeling requirements, gather and validate information, apply judgment and statistical tests and develop data structures to support the generation of business insights and strategy.
    • Filter, “clean” data, and review reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems;
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets as well as interpret the data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
    • Design and code reports/dashboards according to user specification with the key objective of delivering reports that will assist in decision making and control.
    • Make changes to system configuration and parameters to accommodate business and technological requirements.
    • Provide test interfaces for users to test the reports and dashboards before being put on the production environment.
    • Develop and maintain documentation/manuals on system configuration or setup and deal with queries from users and resolve or advise.
    • Locate and define new business and technological process improvement opportunities.
    • Carry-out analysis of requirements and recommend solutions to address user requirements as well as attend to systems/solution failures and resolve or coordinate the resolution of the problem.
    • Develop and maintain documentation/manuals on system configuration or setup in addition to building reusable code and libraries for future use.
    • Assist in developing and implementing a program of continuous improvement of BI processes through a cycle of analysis of existing systems, processes, and tools, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing high-impact changes, and getting feedback from stakeholders.
    • Understand Key Performance Measures and Indicators that drive company performance measurement, reporting, and analytics across functions and understand how these metrics and measures align and track against overall business strategies, goals and objectives.
    • Rollout Business intelligence solutions to stakeholders and provide test systems for UAT to ensure that functions/features are tested before go-live.
    • Secure systems by putting adequate controls and restrict access to programs by users in accordance to the requirements of the bank.
    • Strict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, practices and all internal processes and procedures as per the relevant manuals and comply with all relevant external legislation and regulations with regard to Compliance requirements

    Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

    The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications: –

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related degree from a recognized university with experience in software development knowledge.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in software development, data analysis and reporting with a proven record of accomplishment.
    • Very strong analytical, presentation & problem-solving skills with the ability to work confidently on high priority problems and present technical ideas in a user-friendly language.
    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, SSRS etc.), databases (SQL, Oracle etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks) and business reporting tools.
    • Very good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and a fair knowledge of Unix and Linux
