    Laundry Attendant – Cysuites Apartment Hotel

    Cysuites Apartment Hotel is an apartment hotel located along Church Road, off Waiyaki Way in Nairobi’s bustling Westland’s area. The hotel offers 32 two-bedroom apartment, 6 one-bedroom apartment and 2 penthouses.

    These apartments offer contemporary living and working spaces fitted with amenities to meet the needs of short and extended stays to both business and leisure travellers

    The all-day dining restaurant serves a variety of both Kenyan and continental dishes. The bar area features a fine selection of wines alongside a wide range of spirits and Signature Cocktails.

    The hotel has fitness facilities to help you keep up with your fitness regime while staying with us.

    CySuites Hotel Apartments is looking for an experienced laundry attendant

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for picking up and delivery of in house guest laundry.
    2. Responsible for delivering all guest items punctually, accurately and in a professional and courteous way.
    3. Collect laundry and dry cleaning bags from guest rooms and ensure that guest name, room number and laundry pieces are listed.
    4. Count and verify all items collected as per laundry price lists / laundry sheet signed by the guest and note down any discrepancy or damages on the same sheet.
    5. Check all items for damage or stains and take appropriate action to rectify these issues.
    6. Report immediately to the superiors in case any valuable items like cash, jewellery, credit cards etc. found in guests cloth pockets.
    7. Responsible to processes the guests clothing on the correct equipment / machines using the appropriate chemicals and temperature.
    8. Sorts employee uniforms for appropriate action like washing, dry cleaning, pressing or send for repairing to the hotel’s tailor.
    9. Able to processes the staff uniforms on the correct equipment using the appropriate chemicals and temperature.
    10. Once processed, hangs and transports clean uniforms to Housekeeping.
    11. Shakes wet sheets, table linens and napkins prior to ironing in order to spread them out.
    12. Operates and maintains washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine etc.
    13. Operates and maintains folding equipment, presser and iron.
    14. Reports any technical problems or deficiencies to manager or maintenance team.
    15. Reports any damage or deficiencies in the laundried items to the laundry manager.
    16. Assist in inventories and attend all departmental training as informed and scheduled by the manager.
    17. Assists with other responsibilities and duties in the absence of other team members or other tasks assigned by the manager.

    Requirements

    1. Work experience of at least 1 year in a busy hotel or serviced apartment

    Business Development Interns – Cysuites Apartment Hotel

    Cysuites Apartment  Hotel is looking for a young energetic individual to help the hotel create and maintain relationship with prospective clients and partner companies as well as promote the hotels business online and via word of mouth.

    Responsibilities

    1. Proactively developing business relationship and securing business opportunities for the hotel
    2. Handling the hotels digital and social media platforms
    3. Responding to clients queries on Social Media Platforms
    4. Overseeing bookings made via the hotels social media platforms
    5. Prospecting and conducting client meetings, presentation and understanding requirements of various clients with the aim of growing the hotel.
    6. Developing and recommending to the management long and short-term plans to achieve the hotels objectives and goals

    8. Identifying new sales leads by researching organizations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets.
    9. Prepare daily reports and periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion

    11. Pitching and contacting potential clients vial email or phone to establish rapport
    12. Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
    13. Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the hotel
    14. Database management; including keeping records of queries and addition of contacts to the database.
    15. Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders of the department by responding to queries and providing information as requested
    16. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Requirements

    1. Must have achieved at least a B+ plus or equivalent in high school
    2. A Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of Second Class Honors, Upper Division
    3. Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
    4. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms
    5. Strong drive towards fulfillment of company’s goals
    6. Ability to work in a team set up
    7. Ability to carry out research relating to the hotel and collate the information derived from such research towards improving the hotel’s business status
    8. Ability to meet set deadlines and to also perform multiple tasks at the same time
    9. Ability to work under high pressure
