    Sales Executive

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
    • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and digital marketing efforts.
    • Conduct market research to understand current trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Utilize digital marketing techniques such as social media marketing, email marketing, SEO, and content marketing to attract potential clients.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral and promotional materials.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster loyalty and long-term partnerships.
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase our offerings and address client inquiries.
    • Track sales performance metrics and report on sales activities, progress, and forecasts.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking events to promote our brand and generate leads.
    • Stay updated on digital marketing trends and tools to effectively integrate these strategies into the sales process.
    • Provide necessary information and support to the stores to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
    • Assist in managing and updating the website content, especially product information and promotions.
    • Utilize basic WordPress CMS knowledge to make necessary changes and updates.
    • Any other duty assigned.

    Skills and Experience Required for this Role

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in Fashion industry
    • Strong knowledge of digital marketing concepts, tools, and techniques.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.

    Competencies required for this Role

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and their advertising capabilities.
    • Experience with SEO and content marketing strategies.
    • Knowledge of lead generation techniques and tools.
    • Previous experience in using marketing automation software is a plus.

    Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance & Operations

    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, this is a 3-year Fixed Term Contract whose role provides exemplary strategic leadership in the Finance & Operations Division overseeing four departments namely: Finance, ICT/Digital and Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Procurement.

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Oversee the development and implementation of sound financial policies, controls, and procedures that ensure the financial strength needed by the University to realize its mission and objectives.
    • Lead a consultative and participatory process to develop and report to all governance organs on strategy, operating budget and research, fundraising, and projects.
    • Drive the Digital & ICT strategy and coordination efforts to ensure the security of the University’s cyberspace.
    • Direct, manage, and provide leadership in Facilities Management at strategic levels and monitor areas of Infrastructure, capital construction development projects, cafeteria, and Transport services.
    • Oversee the procurement of goods and services to support the University’s delivery of services to both its external and internal customers.
    • Serve on the Senior Leadership Team (Management Board) and be a strategic partner to the VC and the University, providing operational leadership in support of the University goals.
    • Mentor, coach, and supervise direct reports.

    Job Dimensions-Financial Responsibility

    • Develop and Manage the University Finance and Operations Division Budget.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • Doctor of Philosophy/ Doctor of Business Administration in the field of specialization from a recognized University
    • Master’s degree in the field of specialization or related field.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of specialization or related field.
    • Relevant professional qualification. ACCA, CPA.
    • Member of a relevant professional body e.g ICPAK, ACCA
    • Professional Leadership Certificates.
    • Proficiency in Computer Applications.
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Work Experience Required

    • Over Thirteen (13) years of relevant experience with over five (5) years in management, three (3) of which should be at the senior management level.
    • A track record of successful leadership, and experience from institutions of higher learning an advantage.

    Director of Research, Contracts and Grants

    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Transformative Teaching Learning and Research, this is a 3-year Fixed Term Contract. The Director of Research Contracts and Grants is a crucial role responsible for overseeing the university’s research administration. This includes managing the pre-award processes, ensuring compliance with grant regulations and supporting the University’s research strategy. The Director will work closely with faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders to grow the research culture.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A doctorate in a discipline that is currently being offered at USIU-Africa
    • Certification in Research Administration
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in research administration (including electronic research administration systems and tools), with a proven record of managing research contracts and grants in a higher education setting or research institution.
    • Proven record of raising high-value research contracts and grants implementing the activities to completion and contributing to publications in high-impact journals and policy briefs.
    • Proven record of planning for research events – conferences, colloquia, policy dialogues, stakeholder forums, and community engagement activities for research.
    • Knowledge of regulations about research, including IREC and acquisition of the relevant research permits.
