    Regional Relationship Manager - Channels (Coast)

    Job Purpose:

    The objective of this role is to drive the delivery of the total channels business and objectives in their designated branch. The Relationship Manager - Channels shall jointly with their branch teams, be fully responsible for the delivery of the total channels' business targets and objectives.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Recruitment and management (onboard, engage, activate) of the channel partners relationships in their branch.
    • Delivery of the Merchant acquiring business targets and objectives. This includes growing the merchant base in their respective branch as well as championing all the acceptance products including Pay With Equity, POS Acquiring and Ecommerce acceptance while delivering all the merchant settlement accounts to the bank
    • Delivery of the Agency Banking targets and objectives. This includes growing an optimal agency network that serves our regular, social payments and growing needs served by our agency network, while optimally utilizing the resources and tools of trade provided for maximum returns.
    • Driving the uptake of our digital suite of products ranging from mobile banking to internet banking among others.
    • Ensuring customer adoption of the value-added multiple services delivered through ATMs/CDMs channel as they continue to be launched.
    • Driving initiatives such as the prepaid card business, corporate card schemes, managing the credit card business as well as driving migration of usage of our cards to payment cards.
    • Delivery of the Prepaid card business targets and objectives. 
    • Delivery of the Borrow, Insure, Invest, Move and Save (BIIMS) business targets as assigned for the branch. 
    • Proactively review optimal channel availability and escalate any system issues/downtime noted for resolution.
    • Gather and share feedback on market intelligence on all matters channels to ensure the bank remains aware and responsive to market dynamics and constantly delivers relevant solutions to the market.
    • Provide training support to all branch staff through sensitization sessions on channel products for knowledge, understanding and appreciation towards business support.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • An Undergraduate degree.
    • A minimum of 4 -5 years' experience in the bank
    • Have worked as a Channels supervisor for at least 2 -3 years.
    • Business, Technology or Leadership programs undertaken will be an added advantage.
    • Sales experience is an added advantage.

    Relationship Manager - Credit

    Job Purpose:

    The Holder of the role shall oversee Credit Risk Underwriting duties within the branch. The Branch Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit operations within the branch, ensuring the effective management of credit risk, and maintaining the quality of the loan portfolio. This role involves evaluating loan applications, making credit decisions, and ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policies and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • In charge of Credit underwriting process and chair of the Branch Credit Committee (B.C.C).
    •  Responsible for all credit reports such as PAR analysis, Portfolio distribution. reports, monthly credit reports, and any other information required by the Branch Manager.
    •  Co-ordinate perfection process from branch through head office and legal Department.
    •  Monitor adherence to the Bank SLA with various stakeholders along the credit process.
    •  Enforce compliance to all credit policies and procedures and other regulatory Policies at the branch.
    •  Overseeing proper customer records and documents management in the branch.
    •  Verification of branch system transactions relating to credit activities.
    •  Proactively support the Relationship Manager - Business in managing portfolio quality and minimize delinquency.
    •  Credit Evaluation: Assess and evaluate loan applications to determine creditworthiness and risk.
    •  Decision Making: Approve or recommend credit decisions within delegated authority limits.
    • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving credit-related issues.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present credit reports and analysis to senior management.
    • Training: Provide training and guidance to branch staff on credit policies and procedures.
    • Liaison person between the branch and regional office credit function.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

    • Bachelors’ Degree in a finance or related field.
    •  At least 8 years of relevant working experience, with 3 of these having been in a Credit admin role.
    •  Thorough understanding of the Bank’s Lending strategy across various segments/sectors.
    •  Proven Credit Risk Management track supported by good underwriting skills.
    •  In-depth understanding of credit risk assessment, loan processing, and regulatory requirements.
    • Relevant certifications in credit management or banking are a plus.
