    Regional Gender & Protection Advisor

    Our Client who is in the Humanitarian business, is seeking a dynamic individual, who, under the direction of the Senior Regional Programme Advisor and with technical support from the Gender Office and Protection unit at Headquarters, the incumbent will provide advice, analysis and overall support to guide the organization’s humanitarian response in East and Central Africa.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic and technical support for the mainstreaming of gender equality and women’s empowerment, in accordance with the Regional Implementation Strategy for the Gender Policy and protection and AAP across the organization’s operations in the region
    • Support efforts to integrate into the organization’s programmes accountability to affected populations (AAP), gender and protection, apply a conflict sensitive or peace building approach as appropriate and support principled humanitarian access
    • Coordinate the regional bureaus’ efforts to support country offices with the practical implementation of various policies

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree (MA or PHD) in one of the following disciplines: social sciences, gender, international development, development economics or another related field like international relations, human rights, and political science or humanitarian studies
    • 5 years solid progressive experience preferably in humanitarian setting
    • The candidate must be willing to travel extensively and some experience in hardship areas will be an added advantage. Some knowledge of French is also desirable, but not a must have

    Director of Administration

    Our Client, a Children’s Home, with approximately 100 children, is looking for an aggressive, performance driven Director of Administration. This person will liaise with the Executive Directors and Senior Management Team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.

    Responsibilities

    • He/she will plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the children’s home to ensure smooth progress
    • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback and accountability
    • Evaluate regularly the efficiency and performance of departments and employees according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
    • Ensure fidelity of procurement processes
    • Oversee financial reconciliations and proper resource allocation
    • Assist with banking transactions, wire transfers, currency sales, and oversight of bank account
    • Review financial information with the accountant and SMT quarterly and help adjust operational budgets for departments and ensure income is available to fund designated projects
    • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote/ensure their implementation
    • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors and ensures that the children’s home runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

    Qualifications

    • The preferred candidate must have a degree in Business Administration or relevant field
    • A MSc/MA will be a plus
    • 3 years as Director of Operations or Director of Administration or equivalent position
    • Mature Christian with a track record of service, especially to the poor and most especially with an interest or experience in serving needy children
    • Outstanding communication with peoples skill
    • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
    • Knowledge of applicable legal rules and guideline
    • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics and familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM, QuickBooks)

    A start-up Interior Design Company is seeking to recruit an Administrative Officer/Interior Designer to coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.

    Responsibilities

    • He/She will keep stock of supplies and place orders when necessary

    Administrative Principal

    Our Client, a private primary school, is looking for an aggressive, performance driven Administrative Principal. This person will provide overall leadership in the Academic Department including administration and budgeting for education needs. The candidate selected for this role will lead, develop and manage the financial, administrative and personnel related operations at the school to ensure the correct implementation of the Academy policies, procedures and regulations.

     Qualification

    • The preferred Candidate must have a degree in Business Administration or relevant field
    • Proficiency in IT and 10 years’ experience in Education
    • He/She should be a mature and honest Christian with a track record of service
    • Outstanding communication with people’s skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Knowledge of applicable legal rules and guidelines
    • Registration with TSC is also mandatory
