    Business Development Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify, source, and recruit new clients interested in logbook loans.
    • Market and sell logbook loan products to individuals and SMEs.
    • Explain loan terms, interest rates, repayment schedules, and conditions clearly to clients.
    • Conduct preliminary client assessments and collect required documentation.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
    • Follow up on prospective clients and convert leads into approved loans.
    • Ensure proper KYC documentation and compliance with internal policies.
    • Monitor client repayments and follow up on overdue accounts in coordination with the collections team.
    • Achieve monthly sales and portfolio growth targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline.
    • Provide market intelligence and competitor feedback to management.
    • Participate in marketing campaigns, activations, and field visits.
    • Ensure excellent customer service before, during, and after loan disbursement.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Number of new logbook loans booked.
    • Loan portfolio growth.
    • Portfolio at Risk (PAR) within acceptable limits.
    • Client retention and repeat business rate.
    • Revenue generation targets.

    Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

    • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
    • At least 1–3 years’ experience in microfinance or logbook loan sales.
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
    • Knowledge of microfinance regulations and lending procedures.

    Human Resource Intern

    Our client is seeking to recruit a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resource Intern to support their Human Resource department in the execution of daily HR and administrative functions.

    The successful candidate will gain practical, hands-on experience across core HR operations, including recruitment support, employee records management, HR documentation, compliance support, and general office coordination. The ideal candidate should demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured and fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including CV screening, shortlisting, and interview scheduling.
    • Coordinate interview logistics and communicate with shortlisted candidates.
    • Support employee onboarding and induction processes by preparing onboarding documentation and schedules.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records, files, and HR databases (both physical and electronic).
    • Assist in drafting, formatting, issuing, and filing HR documents such as offer letters, contracts, confirmation letters, and memos.
    • Support attendance monitoring, leave tracking, and maintenance of staff registers.
    • Assist in the preparation of payroll inputs, including attendance, leave, and statutory deductions.
    • Support implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and company guidelines.
    • Assist in handling employee inquiries and basic HR-related concerns professionally.
    • Support performance management processes, including documentation and filing of appraisal records.
    • Assist in organizing staff training, meetings, and internal HR activities.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and basic labour regulations.
    • Support disciplinary and grievance documentation under supervision.
    • Prepare basic HR reports and summaries as required.
    • Perform general HR and administrative duties as assigned by the HR department.

    Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

    • A diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision.
    • Previous internship, industrial attachment, or HR-related exposure will be an added advantage.

    Accountant Intern

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in maintaining and updating general ledger accounts.
    • Support the preparation and processing of journal entries, invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Help reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
    • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Provide support in month-end and year-end closing activities.
    • Prepare schedules and documentation for audits under supervision.
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with Kenyan tax laws and preparation of tax returns (PAYE, VAT, withholding taxes)
    • Help maintain fixed assets registers and depreciation schedules.
    • Support the timely submission of statutory reports and filings.
    • Support payroll processing by preparing and verifying employee salary schedules, statutory deductions, and allowances, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and Kenyan regulations.
    • Help maintain internal controls and adherence to financial policies.
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of expenses.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data.

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with Finance or Accounting option from a recognized institution (recent graduates or final-year students encouraged to apply).
    • CPA qualification or ongoing CPA studies is an added advantage.
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, SAGE, QuickBooks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
