    Sales Executive – Spare Parts

    Reference Number: OC/2020/010 SPAREPARTS

    Department: Aftersales – Spare Parts

    Overall Job Purpose: The job holder shall market and sell spare parts for profit in line with the company policies in Eldoret and surrounding region.

    Reports To: Warehouse Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gain a clear understanding of customers’ requirements, recommend requirements and make a sale.
    • Develop Tata Network in Eldoret to improve revenue.
    • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations for spares.
    • Update spares database and reports on day to day basis for loss of sale from the branch.
    • Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries with appropriate quotations for spares.
    • Shipment of spare parts sales order.
    • Review sales performance against monthly targets, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
    • Reconcile LPO of customers and supply pending items when available.
    • File invoices in file as per series.
    • Ensure all receiving and issuing of parts are done with the barcode scanners.
    • Carry out spare parts sales and marketing In Eldoret and the region.
    • Perform any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • 3 years’ hands on experience in sale of Auto Spares Parts.
    • Degree in mechanical engineering, Auto stores management, Supply chain management or related field, ICT literate.

    Attributes and Skills:

    • Excellent experience in automobile especially in the commercial vehicles segment, extensive knowledge of motor mechanics.
    • Team player, result oriented and should hold a valid driving permit.
    • Should be of high integrity and professional.
    • An in-depth knowledge of Tata spares.
    • Strategic appreciation of the distribution business.
    • Excellent communications and time management skills.
    • Ability to work logically and systematically.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

    Supervisor – Workshop (Nairobi & Thika)

    Reference Number: OC/2020/010 WS Supervisor

    Department: Aftersales – Workshop

    Overall Job Purpose: Provide workshop oversight and technical supervision to the workmen. Record job allocations and R/ jobs.

    The Job holder shall also be responsible for on-site repair (break-down) coordination in a timely manner in line with the company policies.

    Reports To: Workshop Manager.

    Reportees: Workshop Technicians.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing client and team parameters to improve CSI.
    • Daily weekly and monthly workshop technical reports to line manager
    • Action plan for pending vehicles ( > 10 days) in the workshop
    • Technical assistance for complex diagnosis to the workshop team.
    • Reduce repeat concern by direct guidance and close supervision technicians to do the job assigned to them.
    • Improve Team performance through effective reporting and communication.
    • Technical training ( 1200 hours/Year ) for team
    • Day to day workshop operations
    • Maintain tools & equipment to improve work quality, hand tools audit ; instant tools replenishment ; PPE adherence in workshop
    • Final Inspection of repairs before deliveries
    • Achieve profitability as budgeted in the ABP FY.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • 6 years’ hands on experience in the workshop
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Auto Engineering or related field.
    • Computer literacy is an added advantage

    Auto-Mechanic (Eldoret & Nakuru)

    Department: Aftersales – Workshop

    Location: One In Eldoret & One In Nakuru

    Overall Job Purpose: The Job holder shall be responsible for Pre and Post: 1) Test drive (Allowed person) to identify the complaint, 2) Prepare accurate estimate for the job allocation 3) Complete inspection for extra opportunity for business and reduce repeat jobs.

    Reports To: Workshop Supervisor / Workshop Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive Job Card from the Workshop Supervisor and work on allocated tasks.
    • Check and compare the Job Card details that have been recorded.
    • Work on allocated tasks in the Job Card.
    • Record start and end time on each assignment.
    • Report any observations (problems) not included in the Job Card.
    • Return all parts removed from the vehicles.
    • Inform Workshop Supervisor on completion of assigned tasks in the Job Card and handover Vehicle key.
    • Report any reasons for delay of assigned tasks
    • Ensure that you keep the allocated working bay clean at all times.
    • Keep all vehicles that may have delays in repairs off the Working Bay.
    • Keep good custody of all assigned tools.
    • Ensure safety precautions at the workshop at all times.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • 3 years’ hands on experience in a commercial Auto Workshop.
    • National Diploma in Automotive/ Mechanical engineering or related field.

    Auto-Electrician

    Department: Aftersales – Workshop

    Overall Job Purpose: The Job holder (Auto Electrician) will diagnose and repair vehicles’ electrical faults. He/She will work on all vehicle electrical systems and components, including ignition, fuel injection, engine management systems, anti-lock braking, battery, wiring, charging systems, heating, air conditioning systems, lighting and indicators.

    Reports To: Workshop Supervisor / Workshop Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintenance and repair of varied electrical systems on a diverse range of plant equipment, heavy vehicles and passenger vehicles.
    • Overhaul of various starter motors and alternators on a diverse range of plant equipment, heavy vehicles and passenger vehicles.
    • Battery storage, handling and maintenance.
    • Electronic circuit board diagnosis and repair.
    • Stock control of the electrical service section.
    • Electrical schematic plan modifications.
    • Ensures that actual hours worked are in line with targets set.
    • Ensuring the safe working environment of the auto electrical work area.
    • Carry out any other duties as directed by superiors.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • 3 Years’ experience as an Auto Electrician for all types of vehicles both in the workshop and on site.
    • National Diploma in Automotive/ Mechanical engineering or related field.
    • Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.

    Attributes and Skills:

    • Excellent experience in the automobile especially in the commercial vehicles segment.
    • Excellent knowledge about motor technology.
    • Ability to work without supervision.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Understands high level of safety in the workshop and sites.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and good concentration skills.
