JOB PURPOSE

• Working closely with the Centre Manager, Pharmacy technologist, Optometrist, Radiographer, LabTechnologist, Nurses, Community Health Officer, Clinical Officers, Medical Officers, Consultantsetc.to ensure provision of quality health care services to the beneficiaries and provide support in Bliss Healthcare Limited as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers/patients as they arrive at the reception and inquire how they would like to be assisted.
• Addressing customers complaints at the front desk and escalating issues to the immediate supervisor whenever necessary
• Registering patients correctly on the Health Information Systems.
• Timely & correct billing of services rendered to clients on the relevant billing systems.
• Relationship management with Insurance partners i.e. contacting insurance companies to verify eligibility and co-payment terms whenever necessary.
• Assisting patients in understanding how their insurance coverage works, calculate and collec co-payments via the pay bill as per the insurance terms.
• Follow-up with the medical staff team at the Medical Center to obtain necessary information so as to complete patients’records and process payments for services rendered.
• Responding to queries from customers and insurance companies, professionally,over the phone and through emails.
• Recording concernsfor various departments and ensuring that call returns or feedback are done in a timely manner.
• Providing necessary information regarding the medical centers’services and availability of the relevant service required.
• Obtaining necessary patient information on mode of payment, insurance; ensuring this is properly processed and recorded.
• Providing feedback and information to the claims team in a bid to streamline accounting processes.
• Submitting error-free invoices on time i.e., within 7 days.
• Any other duties assigned by their supervisors

Core Responsibilities

• Conducting initial evaluation and assessment of patients having physical disabilities, disorders or injuries.
• Selecting and administering appropriate tests to evaluate range of motion, neuromuscular status, pain and physical functional ability
• Reviewing medical file of patient for information pertinent in aiding evaluation.
• Identifying treatment goals and appropriate therapy techniques and equipment to achieve goals.
• Carrying out the rehabilitative program and designate the party to carry out treatment plan, e.g. patient, employee, ward staff, family members or community caterers
• Conducting  regular evaluation of patients to assess progress and response to therapy, revise treatment program as necessary to achieve goals
• Participating in treatment team, e.g. Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, other Physiotherapists meeting to provide information regarding patient assessment to discuss treatment program or to coordinate treatment goals and programs.
• Advising and recommending  to referring doctors on necessary interventions and or change of management,  
• Developing treatment plan to be followed by patient after discharge and advice the importance of continuing physiotherapy after discharge and to organize their physiotherapy appointments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree  in Physiotherapy.
• At least 1 year of practice
• Registered with the Kenya society of Physiotherapists.

Experience

• Have a minimum of two (2) years working experience 

Technical skills/Leadership competencies

• Demonstrated excellence in physiotherapy care.
• Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination.
• A strategic thinker with a proven capability of quickly assessing complex situations and generate intelligent and practical

Core Responsibilities

• Perform plain radiography work and ultrasonography
• Identify all patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of data.
• Duly maintain imaging records and files of exams performed on patients
• Perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration without requiring constant supervision
• Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation of image data and complete procedures according to protocol
• Ensure all exams within his/her area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked through system; 
• All exams are properly networked to PACS for archiving and interpretation
• All charges are adequately entered for the exams performed
• Administer per oral, rectal and IV contrast as per physician orders/department policy and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to the administration of the contrast media required for the imaging procedure
• Demonstrate proper technique in venepuncture; demonstrate proper use of power injector according to set protocols set by department and/or manufacturer.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient’s fears and solicit their cooperation
• Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes
• Perform all aspects of CT imaging to include; Head, Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis Extremities, 3D Reconstructions of CT, Multi-planar Reformats CT and Angiographic studies when requested and/or when part of a standard procedure.
