Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Transport & Logistics Solutions Specialist, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following key result areas: -

• Spot Key User / ASCENS care support
• TA updating & Cognos monitoring (Including manual input of events in T. A)
• Data analysis (dashboard maintenance, weekly/monthly reports coverage on volume trends).
• Preparation of overall statistics (Customs KPIs, EDOC, Loadings, Freshness & completeness).
• Declaration support & workflow performance preparation. (Support on Declaration processing events to facilitate RCN generation).
• Online archiving of files & ledgers in the systems (W700 ledgers).
• System training support to new & existing staff
• Following up and ensuring the ASCENS care tickets are turned around within 24hrs
• Provide Level 1 support on tickets from users and lodges them in ASCENS Care where need arises.
• Update the local COGNOS report.
• Proactively identify gaps and reaching out to supervisor with solutions
• provide timely team support.
• Attend monthly teams key user meetings with other EAREG key users.

Profile

• Degree in Information Systems/Statistics or any related field.
• 2 Years relevant experience in Clearing & Forwarding or Logistics

An exciting career opportunity on Fixed term basis has risen in our Sea Imports Local Department as outlined below. We invite applicants who are performance driven, with excellent transferable skills and a demonstrable track record of achievement in past roles. Based in Nairobi and reporting to the IFF Operation Supervisor-Declaration Team Leader, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following key result areas: -

• Ensure all the necessary documents required to make entries are in order.
• Lodge accurate Customs entries in the KRA system, ensure a set of the local COC processing is shared with the supervisor.
• Support Supervisor with all taxes/fee computation inquiries including eg KEBS, Port health, radiation etc.
• Constantly check in Tradex/ICMS to confirm any passing & KENTRADE or rejection of entries, respond to Customs messages pertaining to any queries raised regarding the same through TRADEX.
• Ensure customs files have all the necessary attachments, ensure KEBS consignment documents are complete and a set to obtain local COC is shared with the supervisor or PORT operation team in real time.
• Support the supervisor on inquiries regarding documents, Customs duties, Customs requirements and regulations.
• Handle Customs queries in liaison with the supervisor.
• Lodge accurate IDF's in the KRA ICMS system.
• Lodge PGA regulatory import permits & other consignment documents in TFP-KenTrade system.

Profile

• Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or related field.
• EACFFP Certificate
• ICMS training and password is mandatory.
• 2 years relevant experience.
