    Marketing Manager

    The Brand Manager will provide strategic direction and thought leadership in the development of an integrated marketing plan to meet both the brand and revenue objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for:

    Primary duties and responsibilities:

    • Develop and update the hotel’s marketing and communications strategy
    • Partner with the relevant department heads to develop annual marketing plans for the hotel main and sub-brands in line with the overall brand strategy
    • Monitor the marketing budget for proposed activities and ensure efficient use and tracking of the same
    • Develop and manage the annual marketing calendar to ensure accurate ease of tracking and coordination
    • Undertake detailed on-going analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure objectives are measurable, clear, targets are met, and ROI is analysed
    • Review the on-going competitor analysis report and make appropriate recommendation on brand strategy
    • Prepare brand strategy presentations and plans for periodic communication to key internal and external stakeholders
    • Proactively lead the creation of, and strict adherence to the marketing department standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Conduct ongoing research relating the brand to ensure deep understanding of the brand features and USPs and proactively conduct product training alongside the sales teams
    • Lead and facilitate monthly engagement meetings with relevant departmental stakeholders to review brand strategy, priorities and required actions for achievement of brand goals and targets
    • Work closely with the digital team to ensure seamless integration of the online channels into the overall marketing strategy
    • Ensure the consistency and integrity of the brand is adhered to from a visual/corporate identity perspective, personality, tonality, content, partnerships etc.
    • Develop, maintain and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing reports that help in the tracking of the effectiveness of all marketing activities
    • Look for collaborative marketing opportunities for the hotel with external parties
    • Effectively organise internal and external events and meetings preparing/securing information and collateral as necessary and ensuring clear and measurable objectives
    • Ensure adherence to any set events toolkit and proactively drive the development and updating of toolkits
    • Plan and execute press releases and other media engagement activities factoring necessary lead times
    • Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials
    • Guard the correct use of the hotel’s brand by the marketing team & hotel staff
    • Oversee the maintenance, administration and updating of the hotel’s website and other owned media
    • Promote positive relations with suppliers, partners and sponsors
    • Keep abreast of the latest trends and standards within the hospitality industry
    • Any other duties as assigned from time to time

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (Digital and writing qualifications will be an advantage)  
    • Minimum of 6 years management experience with a demonstrable track record in marketing

    Accountant - Receivables

    Ensure that accounts receivables are managed professionally, credit policy adhered to, and all revenues earned are accounted for and collections banked intact.

    Primary duties and responsibilities:

    • Reconcile, monitor and update all debtor accounts.
    • Checking sales invoices once completed.
    • Responsible for allocation of receipts to invoices.
    • Update and maintain all debtors’ correspondences/communications, documents, LSOs, contracts and memos.
    • Assist the Head of Finance in convening debtor meetings and acts as the secretary in all such meetings.
    • Ensuring that aged listings are correct and agrees with the nominal ledger and that credit limits are not exceeded.
    • In charge of Paymaster Accounts.
    • Track, analyze and post all client payments to the resort.
    • Any other duties as may be directed orally or otherwise by the immediate supervisor.
    • Ensure adherence to the company credit policy
    • Manage petty cash for the hotel.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting or CPA
    • 3 years work experience in a similar role

    Desirable Skills

    • Ability to work in a busy environment and under pressure
    • Must be knowledgeable in Uniform System of Accounting for hotels
    • Must have experience in hotel operations
    • Prior experience working with Fidelio, Opera Cloud and SUN Financial systems

    HR & Training Officer

    The role holder is a key member of the HR team and Develops and oversees a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the workforce. 

    Primary duties and responsibilities:

    • Ensure effective induction for all employees joining the organization.
    • Leave and attendance management.
    • Facilitate disciplinary processes and ensure all procedures are followed and recommendations implemented.
    • Maintain the organization's culture through frequent training of staff on the company’s vision, mission and core Values.
    • Develop and implement strategies for training needs identification.
    • Design strategies to assess the impact of training programmes on employee performance and make necessary interventions.
    • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training and performance evaluation.
    • Performing file audit to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
    • Ensuring all staff on probation are appraised and performance reports submitted.
    • Schedules training sessions and organizes training materials and equipment.
    • Works with managers to address training needs/instruction problems regarding specific employees or departments.
    • Effectively manage costs for all training programmes as per the approved budget.
    • Any other duty as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field.
    • Must have at least 5 years of experience handling a similar role in a busy environment, preferably in a 4 -5 star hotel.

    Desirable Skills

    • In-depth understanding of Kenyan Labour Laws
    • Good communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
    • Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
    • Assertive, results-oriented and able to work under pressure

    Creative & Digital Manager

    The role holder is a key member of the marketing team and will lead the digital collateral development and delivery of online and offline marketing campaigns to various target groups. They will also be the custodian of the brand and primary designer ensuring that all collateral is produced and delivered as per brand guidelines.

    Primary duties and responsibilities:

    • Plans and executes all web, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns;
    • Designs, builds and maintains the hotel’s social media presence;
    • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs);
    • Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights;
    • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies;
    • Collaborates with internal teams to develop campaigns that lead to increased business;
    • As a brand custodian, ensures all visual elements in the hotel are compliant with the brand guidelines;
    • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points;
    • Ensures effective collaboration with partners, vendors and suppliers;
    • Evaluates emerging digital trends and advises the team as appropriate;
    • Ensures all collateral is produced according to brand guidelines and within budget;
    • Ensures appropriate branding at all expos and marketing events;
    • Any other duty as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or Diploma backed by 4 years practical work experience
    • Graphic design/ digital marketing qualifications
    • Minimum of 4 years experience with a demonstrable track record in graphic design and digital marketing.
    • Agency experience a plus.

    Desirable Skills

    • Ability to speak and write excellent English;
    • Creative graphic design capabilities and digital channel knowledge;
    • Natural flair for social media and new technology;
    • Outgoing, meticulous, matured and an organized personality;
    • Business acumen at operational level;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
