    Project Manager – People Survey

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Management

    • Provide project management support to the People Survey team.
    • Personally drive project delivery, problem solve issues including applying a “roll up the sleeves and fix it” demeanor.
    • Lead the project effort in the continued execution of the global road map and recommended road maps for regional, country and departmental results review, prioritization, action steps and accountability in collaboration with Survey sponsors and key partners.
    • Collaborate with Senior officer GEDI to ensure alignment with existing GEDI frameworks and related initiatives.
    • Use established criteria and tools to effectively and efficiently facilitate and report against program execution with measurable results.
    • Facilitate effective collaboration of project contributors across partner functions in order to deliver efficient and timely project delivery.
    • Integrate and manage the program timeline by identifying all project internal & external interdependencies.
    • Develop and present to People survey project sponsors progress against the overall action plan.
    • Develop and maintain a RACI model that can be used in subsequent phases.
    • Perform risk and issue management at the program level: Collaborate with all project leadership to identify risks and issues that are not visible at the task level but impact the overall project or broader program/portfolio.
    • Collaborate with other departments or field office locations when necessary to coordinate local action.
    • Document internal interviews, focus groups and stakeholder engagement.
    • Coordinate invites and logistics for hosted webinars or meetings.
    • If multi-lingual; provide French, Arabic or Spanish language support by drafting text or reviewing translations.

    Communications

    • Coordinate communication strategy for the planning phase.
    • Collaborate with communication team to develop and deliver the global staff communications and cascade dates, intended outcomes, etc.
    • Act as a gate keeper for all new content being developed and ensure consistency among the different tools/materials produced.
    • Supervise the implementation of the “Action Plan Template” and in partnership with Data Excellence ensure that data is visualized and used for decision making per the action planning principles.

    Data Analyst – People Survey

    Key Responsibilities

    • Become very familiar with the survey design, implementation approach and the survey reporting platform(s).
    • Be a resource on how to use the survey reporting platform, providing training to various partners.
    • Provide relevant data and analysis as requested by various stakeholders using the survey reporting platform.
    • Summarize data to tell a compelling story to the organization’s leaders (e.g. what are the main messages coming out of the survey data? What does IRC need to focus on in terms of diversity, equality and inclusion?).
    • Analyze related data reports and provide executive summaries.
    • Create communication and tracking documents in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Build and produce reports from a database in accessible formats.
    • Provide on demand support to different team to understand and unpack the team report.
    • Collaborate with Senior GEDI officer, global HR, Research & Innovation team to develop future approach to collect qualitative information's in order to track our GEDI related metrics.
    • Provide support as needed in other areas of the identified projects.

    Demonstrated Skills And Proficiencies

    • Post-graduate degree or extensive experience in a field related to data visualization
    • Deep understanding and familiarity with intersectionality, social epidemiology, data equity, or other related fields
    • Experience in data analysis and data manipulation, including using Excel Pivot Tables
    • Commitment and sensitivity to data protection and principles of respondent confidentiality in all data requests
    • Technical writing experience a plus
    • Experience working on gender and D&I data and survey is a plus
    • Ability to collaborate effectively while working with remote colleagues
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate results clearly within slidedecks
    • Lived international / intercultural personal or professional experience strongly preferred

    MEL Technology Manager

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Project MEAL Coordinator, the Project MEL Technology Manager will be responsible for  supporting  the use of M&E technology to improve data management and quality for the GAVI REACH project being implemented in the Horn of Africa. The position will lead in overall database management, developing and deploying electronic data collection tools in ODK, Kobo collect and specifically CommCare, data analysis and creation of visual dashboard in Power BI, project system trouble shooting, training of users, improving electronic data flows, data quality, data analysis, project dashboards and other information products. The position will ensure that the Project Databases are integrated and interoperable with existing project partner databases and in line with GAVI data quality guidelines. The Position will take an active role in adaptive management through active participation in stakeholder engagements, learning and work planning meetings. 
     
    KEY Responsibilities

     Deployment of technologies for data collection 

    • Undertake technology needs assessments for GAVI REACH project 
    • Lead the development and ongoing adaptations of the forms in CommCare and dashboards Power BI 
    • Design and implement project plans for countries/programs transitioning to new data collection tools 
    • Configuration of non-standard project/program indicators in data collection tools 
    • Ensure data validation is well embedded in the structure of data collection tools 
    • Collaborating with program, IT and supply chain teams to plan purchase of devices needed for data management
    • System training and ongoing end-user support for IRC staff and partners 
    • Overall project data base management ensuring system integrity and accuracy of data, as well as conduct routine data quality checks.
    • Ensure REACH data is systematically presented in the countries PID in the target countries

    Supporting data management, analysis and visualization 

    • Working from standard XLSX and PBIX templates, setting up indicator database and dashboard for visualizing M&E data. 
    • In close collaboration with MEAL Coordinator, undertake Data analysis, Data Quality Assurance and Data reviews and use to inform the Project Programming 
    • Providing training to M&E staff on indicator databases and dashboards 
    • Undertaking data quality assessments for current databases 
    • Migration or transformation of existing project or country level data in to standard data structures
    • Follow up with country MEL staff to ensure monthly data is uploaded in line with the standard operating procedures, check completeness and accuracy, 3. Understanding user needs and ensuring these needs are well understood throughout the team 
    • Gathering user feedback on data tools during and after deployment 
    • Participating in requirements capturing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new tools 
    • Sharing user feedback with colleagues in IT and other team feedback 

    Other

    • Conduct any other duties assigned to support REACH project management

    Qualification and experience

    • Education: University degree in Information Technology, Database Development, Web Design and Networking, Data Science, or related studies

    Experience:

    • 5 Years’ experience in Project Database development, processes and management.
    • Experience in data collection tool using mobile data collection systems such as Commcare, KoBoCollect or any ODK system.
    • Technical skills in setting up Databases data quality controls, validation criteria, project staff training and capacity strengthening and system trouble shooting.
    • Proficiency and experience with mobile data collection such as CommCare, ODK, Microsoft Excel, SPSS, STATA or other similar software’s, Power-Bi and GIS software tools.
    • Confirmed ability to lead, mentor and empower a small to a medium professional team. 
    • Self-motivated with good organization, and planning skills, including prioritizing work and multi-tasking.
    • Willingness to travel to various field-level offices (40%).

    Regional Finance Analyst

    Scope of work:

    The Position is a member of the Global Finance Team. This job key responsibility is the financial management of the regional country offices in areas of finance, Accounting and reporting activities, ensuring that financial information is timely, accurate, complete and follows the relevant accounting principles. They will work closely with the country -based Deputy Director Finance, as well as regional counterparts in the Awards Management Unit (AMU), Global Supply Chain (GSC), Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT) and other functional departments.

    Key areas of responsibilities:

    Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Reporting

    • Consolidate the annual budget (Operating Budget and Reforecast) and produce required analyses and reports to the RFD
    • Undertake regional finance department activities and schedules to meet the financial reporting requirements and deadlines specified by New York HQ and donors.
    • Assist in preparation of financial analysis of the country offices such as but not limited to funding status, spending, cashflow, and flag any potential risks etc;
    • Review donor financial reports to make sure the reports are in compliance to donor reporting formats and timely submitted as per contractual requirements.

    Controllership

    • Preparation of internal financial reports to be shared with regional and HQ management;
    • Providing technical capacity and support as requested by the field offices;
    • Review Cash requests from field offices. Follow-up with field offices on the reviews provided by the consolidation unit related to the field office accounts.
    • Quarterly review of analytical package, and giving response to the countries and RFD on areas of risk.
    • Monthly reviews of the financial health of the region; review the FMO1 report and identify anomalies and issues to be raised to Senior Management Team.

    Regional Finance Support

    • Respond to ad hoc requests from the region country offices or regional staff as prioritized by the Senior Management for decision making;
    • Proactively identify potential risks and share with the RFD; Provide responses to Internal/External Audit closure and follow up of the developed corrective action plan;
    • Perform the final financial review of the proposal budgets and subsequent realignment prior to approval and submission to the donors;
    • Compile approved waivers (cost allocations exemptions) and track expenses charged to U4999 subsidy.
    • Serve as an Integra Super user
    • Maintain a filing system for all relevant documentation relating to supported Country Offices (including all waivers, checklists, FM01 and analyses, budgets, financial reports approvals, and any other relevant financial document etc.).
    • Support the RFD in Implementing planned training of budget holders/project managers/partners of IRC in financial management procedures and tools.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Master’s Degree, CPA or CA a plus.
    • Proficient in the working languages used in the Region (English, French, Arabic, Spanish, etc);
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years progressive budgeting/finance experience; proven knowledge in complex financial analysis and expertise working on budgets preferred;
    • Proven familiarity with GAAP and shown general knowledge of Fund Accounting;
    • Computer and other technical skills: Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and all MS Office applications; basic knowledge of SQL; experience with cloud-based planning tools, PowerBI and ERP systems (D365) is desirable.
    • Self- starter with excellent analytical skills combined with the substantiated ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and handle time effectively.
    • Should be able to function comfortably in a complex multicultural work environment, under pressure whilst prioritizing multiple tasks.
    • Shown ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and continuously adapt to new challenges and dynamic priorities, while maintaining professional perseverance and a sense of humor

    Officer, Prospect Research

    The Officer, Prospect Research - Global sits within GPPS’s Prospect Research & Management team, supporting the IRC’s sustainability by finding opportunities for funding, focusing our resources, and protecting our reputation through due diligence. They are responsible for rigorously synthesizing data and information sources, providing senior staff and frontline fundraisers with high-quality research on foundations, corporations, and individual donors based outside the US, as well as strategic feedback for board meetings, donor meetings, and events. The right candidate will build positive relationships across internal teams and external vendors, while delivering superior research and reporting services that ultimately increase philanthropic support for our clients.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Create confidential biographical, financial, and due diligence research profiles on foundations, corporations, and global HNWI donors and prospects, applying different online and electronic sources;
    • Build robust pipelines for fundraisers by identifying, rating, and qualifying HNWI donors capable of significant financial support;
    • Implement and improve tools and methods to support comprehensive prospect research and portfolio management, including relationship mapping, analytics, predictive modeling, and other appropriate metrics;
    • Integrate data-driven and qualitative analyses of specific client and broader trends into tactics and strategies for client management, opportunity development, and maximized revenue;
    • Promote research support services to colleagues through presentations and reports, and establish benchmarking to evaluate efficiency of research recommendations and products;
    • Collaborate with global frontline fundraising colleagues to develop strategic recommendations for donors and prospects, with the broader goal to increase support for the IRC’s clients;
    • Manage a suite of resources (e.g. CRM database, subscription databases and media tools) to understand and respond to market-led and client-specific opportunities;
    • Conceptualize special projects (e.g. electronic screening by vendors, data mining analyses, ad hoc reports, etc.) and conduct proactive research projects in partnership with colleagues across the organization.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree – Master’s degree preferred
    • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis and business intelligence work in support of non-profit fundraising, with familiarity of corporations, foundations, and/or markets outside the US;
    • High proficiency in internet search engines and sophisticated search techniques, fundraising software, data retrieval services (e.g. LexisNexis, iWave, Foundation Directory, etc.), MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel, in particular).
    • Experience working with a relational database a necessity, preferably Salesforce;

    Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

    • Research/database management (Salesforce);
    • Analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing data;
    • Ability to develop proactive prospecting methodologies to support organizational goals, including data mining, sophisticated constituent database queries, etc;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Keen understanding of philanthropic trends, in particular the impacts on humanitarian aid sector
    • Knowledge and curiosity about emerging concepts and practices in the field of strategic philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, Public Private Partnerships, and impact investing;
    • Strong interpersonal and time-management skills; confirmed ability to prioritize and deliver on time;
    • Ability to act with sensitivity and discretion while working with highly confidential information;
    • Knowledge of languages other than English a plus;
    • Prior experience working at an international organization outside the US.
