    Business Analyst

    Job Overview/Summary: 

    • The IT-Data team is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to support the Data Transformation Working Group in identifying and standardizing key business definitions. The agreed-upon definitions are then formalized and deployed into the Enterprise Data Catalog, ensuring a single source of truth. This directly supports AI initiatives by providing models with consistent, well-governed terminology, helping improve data quality, accuracy, and the ability to explain AI outcomes. This role acts as a translator between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business terms, data definitions, and governance requirements are accurately reflected in Databricks data models and analytics platforms.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Engage with stakeholders to gather insights on business objectives, processes, and pain points.
    • Capture, analyze, and document comprehensive business and functional requirements; secure formal approvals.
    • Perform gap analysis to compare current processes, client needs, and system capabilities. 
    • Document current-state processes and design future-state processes resulting from data transformation initiatives.
    • Support project planning, scope definition, and requirement prioritization.
    • Participate in solution design discussions and provide business input to ensure requirements are met.
    • Map business requirements to technical capabilities and identify system constraints and dependencies.
    • Identify and propose new process improvement opportunities. 
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
    • Support deployment and ongoing management of the Enterprise Data Catalog.
    • Translate business definitions into technical metadata for tables, columns, schemas, and datasets in Databricks / Unity Catalog.
    • Link business terms to data assets, dashboards, reports, and other data products.
    • Act as liaison between business users and data engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and support data modeling.
    • Work with data owners and stewards to validate data classification and ensure correct application in Databricks/data catalog.
    • Assist in mapping and documenting source systems, data pipelines, data products and datasets
    • Participate in testing and validation of delivered solutions to ensure requirements are met. 

    Job Requirements: 

    Education: 

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, or related experience. 

    Work Experience: 

    • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst providing high quality and advanced analytics for a complex, large not-for-profit organization and/or equivalent analytics experience in private sector marketing and sales
    • Proven track record in leveraging leading-edge digital tools, providing advanced analytical reports, and proactively working to help promote data-driven strategic insights
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of process improvement tools like Visio. 
    • Non-profit and international humanitarian aid experience a plus

    Data Engineer

    • The Data Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and architects but will not be responsible for deputizing for the Data Architect or owning critical security responsibilities.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing from internal and external sources using tools such as Azure Data Factory or Databricks workflows.
    • Implement data validation, testing, and reconciliation checks (including dbt tests where applicable)
    • Monitor pipeline health, performance, and reliability.
    • Identify issues and escalate or collaborate with senior engineers to resolve them.
    • Write SQL and Python queries for data extraction and transformation.
    • Support documentation of processes, standards, and improvements.
    • Support solution design by preparing data samples, documentation, or prototype queries.

    Travel Requirements:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data processing, or software engineering.

    Technical Skills:

    • SQL (advanced): joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning
    • Python: data processing, APIs, automation, PySpark basics
    • Data modeling: star/snowflake schemas, fact & dimension tables
    • ETL/ELT pipelines: building, monitoring, and optimizing pipelines
    • dbt Core / dbt Cloud: developing, scheduling, and maintaining models

    Pharmacy Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Order, receive, verify and record all incoming items in the pharmacy
    • Issue and record all items duly requested by the consumption units in the prescribed format
    • Dispense medication to patients and clients.
    • Provide drug information to patients and other healthcare professionals.
    • Maintain pharmacy safety by adhering to infection control procedures, policies and regulations.
    • Ensure proper filing and storage of all the documents in the hospital drug store.
    • Monitor consumptions of items in the consumptions units
    • Ensure proper storage of all items in the pharmacist
    • Regularly monitor expiry dates of all items.
    • Monitor on poor utilized and slow-moving items and in consultation with the supervisor advice the prescribers/users accordingly
    • Monitor the stock levels and in consultation with the supervisor to avoid unnecessary stock outs
    • Ensure proper maintenance of cold chain in the pharmacy
    • Offer pharmaceutical advice when required
    • With the supervisor assist in preparation of consumption reports
    • Conduct regular physical inventory to ensure compliance of records
    • Ensure efficient distribution of nutrition commodities at the pharmacy
    • Do any other duty as assigned to you by your supervisor.

    • Accurate and timely documentation of all pharmaceutical and nonpharmaceutical items received in the pharmacy 
    • Daily recording and tracking of temperatures in the cold room and the fridge
    • Proper storage of drugs and medical items.
    • Inventory keeping through tracking of expiries and slow-moving items.

    Required Qualifications:

    • A Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution.
    • He/She must be enrolled by the pharmacy and poisons board
    • Should have a valid practice license
    • At least one year hospital pharmacy experience.
