    Area Manager Maintenance

    We are looking to recruit an Area Manager – Maintenance, responsible for coordination of teams through planning and managing maintenance works and liaising with contractors in ensuring effective and efficient network restoration, and full customer uptime at all times.

    AREA MANAGER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • General maintenance of the fiber network, network nodes and 4G infrastructure in his/her area;
    • Manage maintenance teams in the region through allocation of duties, follow up of field teams, review and update assigned tickets, coordinate contractor teams and expedite fault recovery;
    • Proactive management of nodes and access network through stringent routine prevention maintenance of power and air conditioning equipment, inspection and preventive maintenance of both underground and overhead optical fiber network;
    • Liaise with roads authorities (KURA), road contractors, building contractors and other wayleave users (telecommunication, power, water and sewerage) to safeguard the optical fiber backbone and access network from avoidable damage. This includes attending relevant meetings with the various authorities and property managers;
    • Generate regional reports to the Head of Maintenance, make follow up and feedback on daily network and customer reports;
    • Proper maintenance of assigned splicing equipment and tools including routine servicing and repair when necessary;
    • Maintain cross-functional relationships and follow ups for customer relationship management;
    • Coordinate safety measures in the assigned region.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE AREA MANAGER JOB

    1. Degree or Higher National Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications or related field;
    2. At least five (5) years working experience in a network maintenance/network support role;
    3. Technical aptitude in electrical and telecommunication infrastructure;
    4. Good analytical skills;
    5. Good supervisory and coordination skills;
    6. Leadership and management skills.

    Direct Sales Agent - Nairobi

    SUMMARY

    We are looking to hire sales agents to promote our products and services, to identify customer needs and propose the best solutions that will achieve the set sales targets.

    DIRECT SALES AGENTS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Source for new business leads, service accounts, obtaining orders for acquisition, and establishing new sub-agent accounts by visiting targeted outlets for existing or potential sales;
    • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor;
    • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers for training and education;
    • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature;
    • Keep management informed on trade activities by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses;
    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques e.t.c;
    • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments;
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports and making recommendations;
    • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales;
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DIRECT SALES AGENTS JOB

    • Degree/Diploma in a business-related field preferred;
    • At least 1 year of experience in related field (preferably sales, customer relations, or merchandising);
    • Highly motivated, proactive, and target-driven;
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a team;
    • Customer and business focused attitude;
    • Proactive attitude to look for clients and use all the necessary tools to achieve results;
    • Ability to multi-task and get things done to completion;
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
