    Commercial Manager - EA

    Job Description

    • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
    • Managing and leading the sales team.
    • Oversee the region's profit and loss account by analyzing performance and adjusting strategies to meet financial objectives.
    • Overseeing customer relationship management processes.
    • Identifying emerging markets and market shifts.
    • Monitoring and analysing performance metrics.
    • Meeting sales targets set within the department.
    • Reporting on sales results to senior management.
    • Staying up-to-date with new product launches and ensuring sales team members are on board.
    • Closely monitor customer debt.
    • Ensure compliance with contracts and credits.
    • Prospect for new markets in the construction industry.
    • Develop new partnerships with construction companies in the region.
    • Ensure strong visibility with local stakeholders, such as consultants or architects

    The Successful Applicant

    A successful Commercial Manager - EA should have:

    • A degree in business administration or a related field.
    • Proven experience in sales team management.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
    • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
    • Significant experience in commercial management, ideally in industrial, residential, or commercial sectors, preferably in East Africa.
    • Knowledge of electrical systems and/or techno-commercial experience.
    • Strong team management and profit and loss management skills.
    • Expertise in stock management and debtor management.
    • Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment, with a good understanding of commercial issues in East Africa.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong results orientation.
    • Proficiency in management and commercial tracking tools, as well as financial analysis and reporting.
    • Previous experience in a similar role or in managing large-scale projects is a plus.

    Advocacy Director - NGO - Sub-Saharan Africa

    As the Advocacy Director, you will map political developments and identify opportunities for action across the continent. You will contribute to influencing public policies and strengthening political and financial commitments toward sexual and reproductive health and rights. You will also ensure these issues are integrated into regional and international agendas.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a regional and sub-regional advocacy strategy.
    • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with regional, sub-regional, and international institutions, including the African Union and the United Nations.
    • Design and implement evidence-based advocacy campaigns.
    • Strengthen the advocacy capacities of local and regional actors through training, mentoring, and field support.
    • Lead a network of partners and organizations engaged in defending sexual and reproductive health and rights.
    • Monitor and evaluate advocacy activities to ensure their impact.

    The Successful Applicant

    • With a Master's degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, or Public Policy, you have at least 10 years of experience in political and institutional advocacy.
    • You possess in-depth knowledge of intergovernmental dynamics in Africa.
    • A strong background in SRHR issues will enable you to conduct effective and relevant advocacy in this field.
    • You have proven analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
    • You also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
