    Head of Credit Risk Advisory Group

    Job Purpose Statement

    The Head of Credit Risk Advisory Group is primarily responsible for:

    • Leading a team of Credit Risk Advisory Mangers in delivery of Turn Around, Restructure & Managed Exit strategies to a portfolio of corporate watch accounts experiencing financial distress.
    • Determining objectives, strategies and actions that need to be adopted to address business risk issues. Reduce Bank’s risk and achieve turn around, restructure and managed exit solutions so that the bank realises maximum return in the shortest time possible.
    • Acting as a point of contact for the Deputy Director, CRAG & Corporate Recoveries to discuss specific problems and acting as a ‘’sounding board’’ recommending appropriate solutions and strategies to achieve the bank’s objectives.
    • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure early detection, referral and adoption of problem accounts to Credit Advisory.
    • Provide secondary support to the relationship team on a n problem accounts managed under the Normal category.
    • Representing to relevant stakeholders ongoing status of the portfolio being managed

    Ideal Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business management discipline in either of Finance, Business, and Economics, Mathematics / Statistics or related field from a reputable institution.

    Professional:

    • Comprehensive banking background and extensive experience in credit appraisal and loan portfolio management.
    • Experience in engaging C-level management and senior executives in facilitating decisionmaking and reporting.
    • Extensive understanding of business and financial fundamentals, with mathematical aptitude & advanced accounting skills.
    • Ability to coach, mentor, train and transfer skills to others.

    Desired work experience:

    • At least ten years’ experience with at least five years at senior management level in an active corporate environment or credit risk management.

    Integrations and Middleware Support Specialist

    Job Purpose Statement

    This is an ICT specialist role whose purpose is to provide effective and efficient support,development and system administration to the bank’s integration and middleware landscape including Channel Manager, ICON and their suite of products and other integration and middleware services deployed within the bank.

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Application Development 30%

    • Provide Second and third Level technical & application
    • Support for the banks integrations and middleware including Channel Manager and related integration systems and supporting environments
    • Facilitate integrations and middleware performance tuning, application upgrades, documentation of procedures and overall system optimization to ensure
    • excellent user experience and customer service

    Incident / Problem Management 40%

    • Resolve any incidents causing interruption of service in the quickest and most effective way possible according to defined SLA's.
    • Ensure availability of 24 hour on-call support on the integrations and middleware and provide remedial actions so as to observe service level agreements with business

    Change Management 10%

    • Execute System integration testing and subsequent
    • implementation of system upgrades, hotfixes, patch releases and CR deployments
    • Participate in running integrations and middleware projects as the Technical Resource

    IT Governance and Security 10%

    • Key systems configurations to ensure generation and maintenance of audit trails for any changes occurring in sensitive databases are captured and secured

    Business Continuity Management 10%

    • Flag areas having inadequate DR, work with IT Infrastructure and Manager Core Systems towards mitigating actions where applicable to enable business operations if BAU fails (specific to Digital Channel Systems). Test and
    • Document Disaster Recovery Procedures

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • Degree in Computer Science or relevant IT degree from a University with a reputable curriculum.
    • Training and applied knowledge in Digital Channels Support, Unix and Oracle
    • Training and hands on experience with Systems Integrations, Middleware, Banking EChannels and Card systems
    • Three year’s practical proven experience in installing, setup, support and troubleshooting of 3 tiered application architecture, including web technology support e.g. Jboss, WebLogic and IIS.
    • Proven experience in supporting banking channels (mobile, internet, ATMs etc)
    • Proven experience in systems analysis, design, implementation and support.
    • Proven experience in SQL Scripting

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • Proven knowledge of banking operations, operations in business units and business impact analysis.

    Digital Marketing Officer - 2 Positions

    Job Purpose Statement

    To build a strong, reputable and trusted “brand” that positions NCBA Group in KE, UG, TZ andRW as a leading digital first, innovative brand amongst our target markets through a combination of inspirational (and emotional) brand messaging and communication strategies that reinforce the brand values across online channels. The Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for helping the Bank execute its digital communications strategy in line with the defined growth objectives of the organization. The role holder is expected to be a communications all-rounder, with experience in producing a variety of digital content from social media posts, to thought leadership papers, to product information documents. With oversight from Digital Marketing Manager, the role-holder will be responsible in developing the online brand voice for all aspects of Bank’s social and online presence. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regards to new development. The role holder will have strong ability to source and curate content, recognize and negotiate deals
    with like-minded brands and maintain good relationships with internal customers and suppliers. In addition, the role-holder will ensure that the bank builds brand awareness through online
    participation, moderation of consumer queries, social listening, cultivating leads and essentially being the overall custodian of executing an aligned content calendar in support of the corporate brand and BU initiatives driving various products and services. 

    Ideal Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • University degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing or a related field.
    • Relevant professional qualification in Marketing would be an advantage.

    Professional:

    • Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Experienced digital marketing and communications background with intimate knowledge of consumer insights, both strongly preferred
    • Experience in dealing with 3rd party agencies – digital agency management is key
    • Proven ability to develop digital marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
    • Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices
