    Insurance Business Development Executive – 30k

    About the Role

    • A well-established organisation in the financial sector is seeking to recruit a results-oriented Business Development Executive to drive new business acquisition, grow the existing customer portfolio and support the achievement of sales and business development targets.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating and converting leads, promoting insurance solutions, strengthening customer relationships and supporting business growth across the organisation’s branch network.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Generate and follow up on new business leads and prospective customers.
    • Identify new business opportunities and develop them through to successful conversion.
    • Promote, sell and cross-sell a range of insurance products.
    • Work closely with branch teams to identify and pursue potential business opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Follow up on policy renewals and support customer retention.
    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to existing customers.
    • Conduct regular customer and prospect follow-ups to drive business conversion.
    • Achieve agreed sales and business development targets.
    • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and records of business development activities.
    • Track sales performance and prepare regular business development reports.
    • Monitor customer needs, market trends and competitor activity.
    • Provide feedback to management on market opportunities and customer requirements.
    • Work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

    Requirements

    • A professional qualification in Insurance (COP/Diploma in Insurance/ACII), Sales, Marketing or a related field.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
    • Relevant training from the College of Insurance, Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) or another recognised institution will be an advantage.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales or relationship management, preferably within the insurance industry.
    • Good knowledge of insurance products and the insurance market.
    • Demonstrable experience in lead generation and sales conversion.
    • Strong customer relationship management skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • A proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
    • Good analytical, reporting and business tracking skills.
    • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • A proactive, commercially minded and results-oriented approach.

    Sustainability Consultant – GRI & IFRS S2

    About the Role

    • Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking to recruit a Sustainability Consultant to support the Bank’s sustainability reporting, ESG disclosures and implementation of international sustainability reporting standards.
    • The successful candidate will provide technical support in the application of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures, helping the Bank strengthen its sustainability reporting framework, climate-related disclosures, data processes and reporting controls.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and support the implementation of GRI Standards across the Bank’s sustainability reporting activities.
    • Support the Bank in preparing sustainability disclosures aligned with applicable GRI Standards.
    • Support the implementation and ongoing alignment of the Bank’s climate-related disclosures with IFRS S2.
    • Conduct gap assessments against GRI and IFRS S2 requirements and develop practical implementation plans.
    • Identify and assess material sustainability topics relevant to the Bank and its stakeholders.
    • Support the development and documentation of the Bank’s materiality assessment and sustainability reporting approach.
    • Support the identification, assessment and disclosure of material climate-related risks and opportunities in line with IFRS S2.
    • Assist in assessing the Bank’s exposure to physical and transition climate risks.
    • Support the development of climate-related metrics, targets and performance indicators.
    • Coordinate the collection, validation and consolidation of ESG and sustainability data from different business units.
    • Establish and strengthen controls around sustainability and ESG data to enhance accuracy, completeness, consistency and auditability.
    • Develop data collection templates, reporting methodologies and documentation for sustainability disclosures.
    • Work with Finance, Risk, Operations, HR, Credit, Strategy and other relevant functions to obtain and validate sustainability information.
    • Support the preparation of the Bank’s annual sustainability/ESG report and related disclosures.
    • Ensure appropriate linkages between sustainability disclosures and the Bank’s financial and risk reporting processes.
    • Monitor changes to GRI Standards, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and other relevant reporting requirements and advise management on their implications.
    • Support internal and external assurance processes relating to sustainability and ESG disclosures.
    • Prepare technical reports, management presentations and recommendations on sustainability reporting.
    • Build internal capacity by developing guidance, training materials and awareness sessions on GRI and IFRS S2 requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
    • Professional qualification or postgraduate training in Sustainability, ESG, Climate Change, Sustainable Finance or related discipline is an added advantage.
    • 4–7 years’ relevant experience in sustainability reporting, ESG, climate reporting, sustainability consulting or a related field.
    • Demonstrable experience supporting or preparing sustainability reports using the GRI Standards.
    • Practical experience with IFRS S2 or implementation/readiness assessments for IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
    • Experience within banking, financial services, professional services or consulting will be an advantage.
    • Strong understanding of ESG data management, reporting controls and disclosure processes.
    • Experience conducting materiality assessments and ESG reporting gap assessments.
    • Good understanding of climate-related risks, opportunities, metrics and targets.
    • Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders to collect and validate non-financial data.
