    Lead Product Manager, Content Experiences

    As the product manager with the Inuka team, you will work with community members, researchers, engineers, designers, program managers, and external & internal partners to drive the strategy, build the roadmap, and deliver products that excite and inspire people to consume, contribute and share free knowledge through innovative new forms. You will also be an important part of defining a broader strategy for our Product department.

    For better overlap with the rest of the team, we will prefer candidates based in locations within UTC+0000 and UTC+0530.

    You are responsible for:

    1. Developing and driving strategy for user experience on Wikipedia in alignment with trends evolving around emerging digital communities.
    2. Becoming an expert in the goals and challenges of users joining the Wikipedia community from different backgrounds, geographies, and experiences.
    3. Building the product roadmap; defining products, writing requirements, prototyping, developing and launching products and features for emerging digital communities.
    4. Managing products through the full product lifecycle, using both qualitative and quantitative methods to measure the impact of your work.
    5. Working with a cross-functional team to build products.
    6. Collaborating with volunteer community members around the world.
    7. Coordinating and collaborating across other departments, such as Marketing, Movement Communication, or Partnerships, that participate in expanding user engagement.
    8. Releasing and iterating intentionally to provide incremental value and validate hypotheses.

    Skills and Experience:

    1. 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience as a product manager or equivalent role defining, designing, building and managing user-facing web products
    2. Demonstrated success in growing a new user base or in launching new products
    3. Expertise in user-facing products, mobile application development and mobile user experience, creating demos and interactive prototypes
    4. Experience working with users in emerging digital communities, such as in the Middle East, Africa, South and SouthEast Asia, or Latin America
    5. Experience writing requirements with the ability to translate complex technical requirements
    6. Proficiency with data, reporting, analytics, or A/B testing
    7. Experience working with cross-functional teams
    8. Experience working in an agile or iterative software development environment
    9. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant work experience

    5. Experience with digital marketing tactics
    6. Understanding related to assessment of regulatory and policy impacts on product
    7. Experience with products backed by machine-learning
    8. Experience editing Wikipedia or contributing to other wiki projects
    9. Fluency in a language other than English

    Senior Project Manager

    The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work with our Security team and be responsible for various Security projects to mature and inform security and privacy capabilities, to inform best practices for Security team and cross team projects. To help build workflows and team health initiatives and to support the intake and prioritization of inbound work to the security team. Socialize efforts of the Security team to the broader organization.

    You are responsible for:

    1. Leading project planning, scheduling, and resourcing for the Security team
    2. Ensuring work quality and delivery for agreed upon timelines for each project
    3. Having the ability to interpret needs and requirements, translate concepts into practice, identify process improvement opportunities, quantify results, and make recommendations to the Security Managers / Director
    4. Coordinating meetings, briefings, and activities across teams and the Foundation

    Skills and Experience:

    1. Experience successfully leading and executing complex projects at a remote organization
    2. The ability to effectively communicate and manage engineering project tasks
    3. The ability to default to action, make decisions and be accountable for them
    4. Experience working across multiple time zones and with multiple teams
    5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills

    Additionally, we'd love it if you have:

    1. Experience working with a Security team
    2. Agile Certification
    3. Experience working with engineers
