    Senior Data Engineer

    What you will do

    • Design, implement and support KOKO’s data infrastructure
    • Design and implement ETL pipelines, selecting the most appropriate tools and products in collaboration with KOKO’s analytics, product and engineering teams
    • Build logical and understandable data models and data stores to house data from KOKO’s various live products and other diverse data sources for consumption by other teams
    • Build systems to track data quality and consistency, ensuring that our data is accurate & up to date
    • Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service use of KOKO’s data (create tools that assist teams in this process).
    • Keep our data secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions
    • As the team grows, help recruit and manage additional data engineers
    • Represent the Data Engineering discipline during sprint planning meetings and retrospectives
    • Help build the engineering culture at KOKO, attracting similar minded people with a passion for using technology to tackle hard challenges

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    • At least three years experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or a related field
    • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
    • A track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
    • Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development and optimisation, and data warehousing
    • Experience working with big data technologies (preferably within AWS)
    • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
    • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
    • Strong initiative, project management and organizational skills
    • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, who is calm and decisive under pressure
    • Proactive approach to knowledge sharing and developing best practices
    • Strong experience taking part in sprints, being involved in planning, retrospectives and estimations with cross-functional teams

    Principal Data Analyst

    Your Role

    As a Principal Data Analyst, you will lead data and analytics functions within your squad by collaborating cross functionally with departments across KOKO on data and analytics. You will be expected to take accountability, influence decision making, deal with a high degree of uncertainty and help shape overall business strategy through data driven insights. You will also manage a small team of analysts within your squad.

    What You Will Do

    • Build models to identify trends, forecast performance, and identify improvements to company strategy, products, and operations related to our customer.
    • Work closely with Product and Commercial Leadership to provide insights and analytics that guide strategy and decision making.
    • Design and run data analyses to guide decision-making and strategy.
    • Design and prepare company dashboards and other key stakeholder reporting.
    • Design and develop automation tools to streamline day-to-day activities.
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy and overall integrity of business metrics.
    • Develop and maintain analytics documentation, training material, best practices and overall datantoolkit.
    • Lead, train and develop a cross functional team of analysts.

    What You Will Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Engineering, or Business5+ years of experience in a data analysis, consulting or other quantitatively rigorous role.
    • Experience leading data science projects, performing customer analytics and working with customer centered metrics.
    • Strong aptitude for project management, including ability to balance and rebalance priorities, clarify stakeholder requirements, lead cross-functional efforts, pay keen attention to detail and keep deliverables on schedule.
    • Familiarity & facility with analytics platforms such as Tableau, Domo, or Looker.
    • Coding experience in SQL, Python, Excel, and advanced statistical methods.
    • A curious mind and a passion for problem-solving, data, and analytics.
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally with prior experience at a growth-stage startup or multinational corporate as a data leader and business partner.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to bridge gaps across cultures and backgrounds.
    • Unquestionable integrity and ability to embed company culture and values within teams.
