    Digital Literacy Trainers

    Description

    Reporting to the Regional Enterprise Development Coordinator, Digital Literacy Trainers will be responsible for building the capacity of micro, medium and small entrepreneurs in Young Africa Works Program through delivering Digital Literacy Training, coaching and mentorship in assigned region.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    1. Mobilization of the micro, medium and small entrepreneurs into Young Africa Works Program.
    2. Enrolling the MSMEs into the program in accordance with the program set target and timelines
    3. Deliver digital Literacy training to MSMEs in Young Africa Works Program.
    4. Offering mentorship and coaching to the MSMEs to program beneficiaries.
    5. Linking MSMEs in Young Africa Works program to Equity Group financial services and based on their financial needs.
    6. Respond to beneficiaries queries regarding Digital Literacy to enhance their knowledge and skills.
    7. Documentation and dissemination of success stories & lessons learnt in the program.
    8. Prepare reports to Branch Manager, regional coordinator, and the program management as required.
    9. Organize, coordinate and execute program activities as per the program work plan and targets.
    10. Work with the monitoring and evaluation team to collect quality program data as required in all stages of program life.

    Qualifications

    Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    1. Mean Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
    2. Degree in IT, ICT and ICT related fields or Degree in Business Management with Diploma in IT.
    3. ICT skills; familiarity working with business management software’s and related business digital tools/solutions.
    4. Knowledge of app and software development will be an added advantage.
    5. May have worked in Equity for a period not less than one year.
    6. If worked at Equity, must have attained an overall score of at least 3.5 points in the last performance appraisal.
    7. Strong understanding of provision of financial services or training to MSME is added advantage

    Desired Skills and Ability

    1. Demonstrate understanding of ICT use in the Micro enterprise sector
    2. At least one years’ experience working with business management related ICT/ digital tools.
    3. Basic training and facilitation skills with ability to work with diverse business audiences at an group and individual level
    4. Practical experience supporting entrepreneurs adopt business management digital tools and business related ICT services/ products

    Financial Literacy Trainers (50 Positions)

    Description

    EGF Enterprise Development & Financial Inclusion Pillar is Implementing the Young Africa Works Program supported by MCF and Equity Group. The program needs to meet its targets in training and mentorship of MSMEs in financial literacy. To achieve this, additional 50 Financial Literacy Trainers who will be conducting training, coaching and mentorship of MSMEs under the program are required.

    Reporting to the Regional Enterprise Development Coordinator, Financial Education and Inclusion trainer will be responsible for building the capacity of micro, medium and small entrepreneurs and famers customers in the bank through delivering Financial Education Training and linking them to financial access in assigned region.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Mobilization of the micro, medium and small entrepreneurs nd famers in the bank
    • Enrolling the MSMEs/farmers into the programs in accordance with the program set target and timelines
    • Deliver financial Education training to MSMEs in the bank.
    • Offering mentorship and coaching to the MSMEs to program beneficiaries.

    • Minimum Degree preferably in Business Administration or management, cooperative management, micro finance and commerce. Another degree but with diploma in microfinance, cooperative management, community management or experience in Group lending methodology, cooperative management, any community training  is also acceptable.
    • Experience in training, Group lending, micro individual lending, Agriculture lending, Agribusiness, Agency and merchants banking and marketing.
    • Good knowledge in Equity Group services and products
    • May have worked in Equity for a period not less than two year.
    • If worked at Equity, must have attained an overall score of at least 3.5 points in the last performance appraisal.
    • Strong understanding of provision of financial services or training to MSME is added advantage

    Entrepreneurship Education Trainers

    Description

    • Delivery of entrepreneurship  education training to MSMEs in Young Africa Works Program
    • Conduct demand driven coaching and mentoring of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in Young Africa Works Program.
    • Ensure all the MSMEs trained in Young Africa Works Program access financial services from Equity Group.
    • Facilitation of market linkages and business networks for the Micro, Small & medium and Small Enterprises.
    • Documentation and dissemination of success stories & lessons learnt in the program.
    • Participate in the development, review and update process of training materials.
    • Evaluation of trainings conducted.
    • Monitoring, reporting and reviewing the progress of the program.

    Qualifications

    Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • Mean Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
    • University degree, preferably in Entrepreneurship or Business Management or related areas or; Any other University Degree with a Diploma in Entrepreneurship or Business Management or related areas
    • At least one year work experience supporting Micro, Small and Medium sized enterprises.
    • May have worked in Equity for a period not less than one year.
    • If worked at Equity must have attained an overall score of at least 3.5 points in the last performance appraisal.
    • Strong understanding of provision of financial services or training to MSME is added advantage

    Desired Skills and Ability

    • Good communication skills and application of adult learning principles
    • Demonstrated Training and facilitation skills with ability to work with diverse business audiences at a group and individual level
    • Demonstrate understanding of ICT use by the MSMEs
    • Practical experience in offering business advisory to Micro and Small & Medium enterprises.
    • Practical experience in business management will be an added advantage.

    Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator- Medical Officer

    Responsibilities

    The Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator will support Equity Afia Quality Assurance and Patient Safety initiatives. S/He will be responsible for the effective application of quality standards and procedures to strengthen clinical services offered by Equity Afia. S/He will collaborate with other departments & support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives in Equity Afia medical centers. The position holder will report to the Head of Clinical Services.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Leading Clinical Quality Improvement initiatives in line with the goals of Equity Afia to offer comprehensive affordable high-quality services & drive continuous improvement.
    • Implement quality and patient safety audit framework for Equity Afia network
    • Lead facility participation in the institutional quality improvement and patient safety agenda.
    • Effectively manage patient/client complaints and incidents.
    • Development and implementation of clinical guidelines, SOPs, and protocols, ensuring they are in place, implemented, monitored, revised, and updated as necessary.
    • Leading Continuous Medical Education programs and other relevant learning programs in the network.
    • Contributing to exemplary customer experience at Equity Afia by addressing relevant customer concerns timely ensure sustained high customer satisfaction.
    • Preparing timely clinical and quality reports as due daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and monthly.
    • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBChB, MBBS, MD)
    • Master’s degree - MBA, MMSc Msc, Health Systems Management presents an added advantage.

    Experience / Competencies

    • 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a busy hospital set-up
    • Experience in supervisory / management role in healthcare context.
    • Strong communication skills (spoken and written).
    • Experience and strong competence in analysis & report writing.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize clearly, oversee multiple tasks, set clear objectives & work across teams.
    • Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels.
