    Clinical Support- Laboratory

    Reports to: General Manger, Equity Afia & General Manager, Health

    JOB PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION.  

    Provision of leadership in clinical care, supervision of clinical staff to ensure superior quality of care delivery and spearhead design and implement high standards in delivery of care, develop and implement strategies, policies, protocols and procedures to maintain satisfactory outcomes and contribute to profitability

    Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    • Liaise with the GM, Health  in the development and implementation of a formal clinical quality and patient safety program
    • Drive the development and implementation of comprehensive care strategies, initiatives and programs that will lead to the achievement of quality patient care and growth.
    • Providing guidance to franchise owners and ensure an effective staff management process for the facilities in place and is operational; recruitment, induction/orientation, training, performance management, discipline and growth and development, while keeping clinical staff current with up to date clinical information and practices
    • Ensuring that clinical operations comply with established standards and regulations
    • Participates in budget development.
    • Support the procurement processes of clinical items for the medical centres
    • Conduct internal and external controls to monitor the performance of the section and take prompt action to maintain quality service

    Academic & Proffessional Qualifications

    • University Medical degree in nursing or Laboratory
    • Membership and duly licenced by a professional body (Nursing council or Kenya Medical laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board as appropriate)
    • Post graduate qualification in healthcare management

    Desired Qualification

    • BLS/ACLS/ATLS
    • Masters degree in a medical field

    Experience and skills

    • At least 7 years of clinical practice
    • More than 5year in hospital/healthcare management with emphasis in clinical quality.

    Credit Control

    Reports to: General Manger, Equity Afia

    JOB PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION.  

    The main role of the Credit controller at support office is to ensure the prompt and correct payment to Equity Afia of all monies owed by insurers or patients and will be responsible for working accounts with balances according to their respective payer.

    Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    • Formulating, reviewing and implementing credit control policies.
    • Developing service level agreements and executing 3rd party contract.
    • Ensuring stability of cash flows for operational and investment purpose through preparing and implanting cash collection budget.
    • Ensuring that all transactions in the department are complaint with statutory and hospital regulations.
    • Overseeing key account and customer relationship management.
    • Developing credit management capability within Equity Afia
    • Identifying changes in payment patterns and proposing action to avert indebtedness.
    • Handling disputed bills and negotiating to bring payment within the agreed terms.
    • Undertaking account reconciliation and sending out timely client statements letters as may be agreed from time to time.
    • Ensuring monthly and year end processing deadlines are met as required.
    • Championing customer service excellence and continual improvement.

    Academic & Proffessional Qualifications

    • B. Com of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting or its equivalent.
    • CPA (K).
    • Professional training in Credit management

    Experience and skills

    • At least 7 years’ experience with at least 3 at credit management
    • Expert knowledge in credit management.

    • Refined customer service skills.
    • Excellent negotiations skills.
