    General Nurses

    OHGL/ADM/ADMIN/08/008

    Overall Responsibility

    Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the successful candidates shall promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
    2. Maintains nursing guidelines by following the laid down Standard Nursing Policies and procedures.
    3. Adhere to duty Rosters and Patient Allocation; Assess, Plan and implement nursing care using the Nursing process framework.
    4. Maintain the nursing ethos as prescribed in the Nurses’ Act Cap 257 of the Laws of Kenya and the Hospital regulations.
    5. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

    9. Maintains safe and clean working environment by following the stipulated nursing guidelines.
    10. Protects self, patients and employees by strictly adhering to Infection Control Measures.
    11. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
    12. Maintains documentation of patient care services by diligently and faithfully filling all necessary patient documentation.
    13. Achieves financial objectives by utilizing available resources, using medical equipment correctly and billing promptly services offered.
    14. Update inventories daily and ensure emergency equipment are updated on a daily basis.

    Job Requirements

    Pharmaceutical Technologists

    OHGL/CLN/PT/08/002

    Overall Responsibility

    Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services, the successful candidates shall Organize medications for dispensing by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
    2. Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals.
    3. Control medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
    4. Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counselling patients on drug therapies.
    5. Develop hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs; training pharmacy staff, interns, and nurses.
    6. Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols
    7. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    Job Requirements

    1. Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
    2. Registration and licensed with the Pharmacy and Poison Board.

    Administrator

    OHGL/ADM/ADMIN/08/008

    Overall Responsibility 

    Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the successful candidate shall be accountable for the provision of top notch medical and operational services. These services shall predominantly involve financial management and staff management.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Act as liaison among governing boards, medical staff and departmental heads
    2. Organize, direct, control and coordinate medical and health services in relation to policies set by the company.
    3. Take lead in formulation of departmental budgets.
    4. Managing the hiring, training, and evaluation of human resources.
    5. Overseeing the collection, scrutinization, and utilization of both patient and facility data.
    6. Ensuring compliance with all the governmental legal requirements and policies.
    7. Participate in the facility’s policy formulation and ensure implementation.
    8. Directly oversee the functions of all the operational departmental heads.
    9. Managing the client care/patient care experience.
    10. Development of organization systems to maximize productivity in the workplace

    Job Requirements

    Nurse Manager

    OHGL/CLN/LT/08/001

    Overall Responsibility

    Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services, the successful candidate shall have overall responsibility of a nursing unit. This will include planning, coordinating, controlling and evaluating nursing services to promote quality health services and patient safety. He/she will be responsible in making management decisions in consultation with the medical leads or Head of Clinical Services and other departmental heads.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Plan nursing duties in units of responsibility by drafting forth night nursing duty rosters
    2. Ensure prudent utilization of resources by allocating nurses to duties as per patient needs and hospital guidelines and policies.
    3. In collaboration with the finance department, ensure all the procedures, and commodities are billed appropriately for every patient.
    4. Participate in hospital coverage/duty roles as allocated by the HCS.
    5. Assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate nursing care to patients using the nursing process framework.
    6. Champion quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in the unit as advised by the Quality Lead.
    7. Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly reports about the unit are timely generated and submitted appropriately
    8. Participate in the development of unit budgets, review of budgets and controls

    Job Requirements

    1. BSc. Nursing degree and above
    2. At least 2-years’ experience in managing nursing services
    3. MUST be registered and hold a current license by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) 4. BLS/ACLS strongly preferred
    4. Team leading skillEffective communicator

    Radiographer

    OHGL/CLN/RG/08/007

    Overall Responsibility

    Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services, the successful candidate shall be responsible for operating all the radiology machines to produce high quality diagnostic images that will aid in the diagnosis of various patient conditions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images;
    2. Take responsibility for radiation safety in your work area, including checking equipment for malfunctions and errors;
    3. Manage referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible;
    4. Supervise visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas;
    5. Help in more complex radiological examinations, working with doctors such as radiologists and surgeons;
    6. Provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs. 
    7. Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionizing radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.
    8. Using specialized equipment, technologies and techniques to obtain images of parts/areas of the body.
    9. Determining the most appropriate method of scanning for each patient.
    10. Consulting with other medical staff to identify and diagnose diseases, conditions and the nature of injuries.
    11. Ensuring equipment is maintained and used safely.

    Job Requirement

    1. Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences from a recognized institution
    2. Registration with the Radiation Protection Board.
    3. Minimum of one-year relevant experience
    4. Good communication skills and courtesy
    5. Transparent and honest.

    Laboratory Technologists

    OHGL/CLN/LT/08/001

    Overall Responsibility

    Successful candidates shall perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, treating and preventing disease.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Collect blood samples from patients.
    2. Practice proper patient identification, especially when working on hospital floors.
    3. Label vials with patient names and dates.
    4. Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient.
    5. Centrifuge blood samples, depending on if this is allowed in the state you are working in.
    6. Expect to work with a large number of patients varying in age and health status.
    7. Machines: it is the responsibility of the Lab Tech to run Quality control for all machines and reagents before any tests have been done to ensure validity and correctness of results.
    8. It is the responsibility of the Lab Tech to ensure confidentiality of all patients’ results at all times. The responsible lab tech will be held liable in cases of patients test results leaked to third parties.

    Job Requirements

    1. A degree/diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
    2. Registration and Licensed by K.M.L.T.T.B
    3. Ability to work under minimum supervision.
    4. Ability to analyze and evaluate data critically.
    5. Ability to prepare and keep budgets.
    6. MUST be Computer literate.

    Customer Experience Officers

    OHGL/ADM/CEO/08/011

    Overall Responsibility

    Successful candidates will be tasked with handling all Customer Care interactions by providing consistent standards of service to Client and ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Take responsibility for resolving customer queries and ensure security and confidentiality of information
    2. Collects and analyses customer feedback and adopt corrective measures as required.
    3. Respond to customer queries within defined time-limits
    4. Carry out daily ward rounds to collect timely customer concerns.
    5. Collect and verify information from customers as required.
    6. Provide Information and/or educate customers on hospital guidelines.
    7. Record and capture customer details accurately.
    8. Keep a database of all clients who visit and carry out random call back checks.
    9. Ensure clients receive their daily interim bills and engage them on payment plans.
    10. Maintaining data integrity and keep customer details confidential.
    11. Responding to all customer correspondences via e-mail, telephone and postal mail. 
    12. Provide daily feedback on customer experience in relation to pre-defined standards and measures

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations or any other related field.
    • Possess problem solving skills.
    • Excellent communication& interpersonal skills.
    • At least one year’s experience in the same role.
